WILD CARD WITH LISA/HELLO

Happy Tuesday to all

We are presenting today our take on the
Hello Card, #27 in our project.
You can find this card on page #58 of the Wild Card booklet

I made two completely different cards for this #27 and I decided to post this one. Do not be alarmed about the darker colors used here. I still love my bright side, lol

My Hello Card
5 inches
Ok...how do you like it? I used three layers, yes...you heard right, lol for the top of the card. I bent the phone cord a bit as you can see to give it more of a realistic look. I MESSED UP the envelope so I cut the top part and used my rounded Fiskars paper punch and punched a half circle. Everything was inked and for first time I used a thin bristled brush I had like forever and inked every little cranny on the card, lol. Loved it! I will take a pic of this brush later on and edit this post to show it because if you like to ink like me, you are going to want one too. This brush worked perfect for me, lol.

Ok...I have to get to Lisa's card here and stop talking :)

Lisa's Hello Card
Hehehe...almost the same colors.
You have to believe me when I say we do not plan these cards ahead. We do not get to see them until they are uploaded on PB ready for posting. It is a mere coincidence.
Love her take on the phone and the orange I love right there on that beautiful flower.

Well...we hope you enjoyed one more Wild Card with Lisa

and...If you have any suggestion/ questions about my work...please, leave a comment preferably on the last post and I will get back to you asap.

ETA
to add the Bristle Brush I used:
The brush has written on gold:

5 ROYAL WHITE BRISTLE

Please, do not ask me where I got it because I have this brush forever
and you know brain do not work too good lately :)

WILD CARD WITH LISA/BRANCH

Hoping everyone is having a great day today

Lisa and I are presenting the Branch Card today.
It is #26 in our ongoing series and you can find it on page #57 of the cartridge handbook.

My Branch Card
5 inches
This card, once again gave me a bit of trouble and I do not know if is because I am not feeling well or that I had enough of the Wild Cards already, lol.

I picked the hot pink cardstock from some stack I have had for a while, then I picked the yellow one from my scraps and chose an orange cardstock from one of the Value Packs, as I call them.  This Value Pack one was from Hobby Lobby. After gluing it I did not like the orange on the branch , grrr!!! then it was the search for another color, lol. I ended up using the same pink one I used for the base and the greenish another of my scraps... from the one I used to make the words in the "All in One" (money holder). As you can see, I did some white faux stitch and inking. Then... I wasn't happy with the stitch on the pink so I added some yellow and white ribbon to cover some of the stitching on that side, lol.
My Lulu.wanted attention again...(that spoiled brat all she wants to do is play, lol). She comes to the craft room and starts barking and scratching on the chair I am sitting until I pick her up and how in the world I can concentrate and make cards with her on my lap???? You tell me. But....I love her so much, she makes me very happy and she is so funny. I can't just resist, so I do give her some attention but that makes the process of making cards a bit longer than normal, lol. Oh well! Whatever it takes, right?
I won't bore you any longer but I do hope you enjoyed another card on the
Wild Card with Lisa project/

Lisa's Branch Card
I like Lisa's card colors. I also like how she embossed the branch and did you see that stem?
Please, go and check out her BLOG if you have time to see how she made this cutie.

WILD CARD WITH LISA/FLOWER

Finally I am here...finished the card that gave me so much trouble. All I did yesterday had a story, not a thing was smooth and stress free. It wasn't my day.
This morning I decided to start all over again. I put Lulu in her cage, not locked up even I wanted too, lol and picked up different papers and here it is.

The card for today is the Flower Card, # 25 in our series
and from page 56 in the cartridge handbook.

My Flower Card
4 inches
 The paper/cardstock used for the base of the card is from K&Co (Road trip collection);
the glittered flowers and leaves are from DCWV Holiday Collection stack. I chalked and inked this time: the chalk is from Pebbles and the ink from Ink It Up dye ink. I had to used chalk because some of the petals were to close to each other for the ink. I do not use chalk a lot but it is a nice finish for definition.

SENTIMENTALS

I forgot to mention I received my Sentimental cartridge on Saturday and wanted to give a
BIG THANK YOU
to
SCRAPPY GO LUCKY
for such a nice giveaway.
I am so very happy. I will be using this baby this week.

ENJOY CARD

This is card I made today for a challenge at the Cricut message board. The person hosting it is Kathy, better know as Alaska Cricut. This challenge is open to all members and we just show off whatever we make. They start posting at 7PM EST.
This paper is another oldie from My Mind's Eye Asparagus Collection. (I have so much paper I will never use it all) and the base for the card is from American Crafts which I really use their cardstock a lot). I like how well the Cricut cuts it and is locally available. The ribbon is from my stash, the little paisley tag is from some package I bought...I am thinking, maybe K&Co. I did not use to be careful trying to take notice of the brands and some packages were just put together in a storage box.  Lately, I have been  trying  to be more organized and selective. The sentiment is from a pack of clear stamps I got at Hobby Lobby from the Stampabilities brand. I used my glue gun for the first time to glue on a card, I glued the bow, Yay!!!! I used the cheater method first (my cheater method consists of attaching an double sided adhesive strip to the whole ribbon but just a bit of ribbon on the back, and for this I normally use Scrapbook Adhesives double sided tape). I inked the edges with a Powder Puffs ink I purchased last year at a scrapbook store in Hershey, PA.
The card is a 5 X 5 inches square card and believe it or not I used the Gypsy for a cupcake from Sweet Treats and cut the top off and inverted it to make the half circle. I do not know why I did it like that but I did. Go Figure! LOL
 Enjoy!
and again, Thanks so much for taking some time to visit me.

MY SEEDLINGS

I like to grow some flowers, vegetables and herbs from seeds. I like to experiment every year with some new ones. Some of them I can't grow and some of them do very well. This year I decided to try beans, balsam, lupines. I already tried Morning Glories, but I am growing them again this year because I want to build two wooden planters for each side of the arbor and then have the Morning Glories climb up and around it. I am also growing cilantro for salsa and oregano. I do not know what else I will be growing this year but this is what I started with. Oh! I got some petunias too but they are not doing very well as of today, lol.
Here are some photos of the ones that are already sprouting very nice.
Below, you will find Lulu since I haven't show her for a while. She loves to eat. I bet she is like 20 lbs right now. The last outfit my husband bought her is already tight on her, lol. The Vet is going to yell at me when the time comes :(

THE MANY PHOTOS OF LULU

and... a photo from yesterday of my son in his new/used Tux. They had a  Chorale concert .
My son's hair/beard is a mess but he had to let it grow for the musical he is in.

Well, I have a nice card I made for AlaskaCricut's challenge on the Cricut Message Board but I will post that one when I come back from school. I have to volunteer tonight. All I do is sit in this room just in case the kids from the musical rehearsal have any homework to do. It is a quiet room for them to work.

Thanks for stopping by!

Note: Tomorrow is Wild Card with Lisa, please, stop by and see what we made.

MY SCRAPLIFTING PROJECT

If you would like to see where I found my inspiration for this project,
please click

I ended up using different colors and letters than planned
*-* and a completely unexpected turn *-*
The canvas size is a 5 X 7 inches, the acrylic paint used was Antique Maroon from Americana/Deco Art.
The designer papers used were an old Basic Gray I had for years too, lol. the font is from Don Juan and embossed with the Script embossing folder and the cuttlebug. The butterfly is a chipboard accent I covered with the same BG paper. The jewels are from AC Moore (can't remember the brand, from the jewelry department. The antique post stamps from my son stamp collection. The paper punches used behind the butterfly are from Fiskars. All the papers were inked for the distressed look I was after. Oh! the antennas for the butterfly were made with some jewelry wire I had in my stash, lol and the leathery Destination sticker was from my old stash too. After I finished I decided I had to sand the wood and the canvas a bit for more of an antique look. The lace used was from the dollar bin at AC Moore too inked with different inks to achieve a dirty old look, lol.
Sooo, what do you think?
I know I love how I scraplifted the idea,
but made it absolutely mine at the same time.
I still used the canvas, lace and designer papers like Dawn did.
And... I used the canvas backwards.
Enjoy!

SCRAPLIFTING PROJECT

It will be posted tomorrow morning. I am very happy with the outcome.

and please come back tomorrow and tell me what you think.

A DAILY LIFE POST

Yesterday I was doing errands for my husband. The day before I got some white paint for the crown molding and window wood work what came out to be a........ disaster. It was the wrong number....ooops! He did not tell me. It was his fault.hehehe. The wood work in the bedroom had a satin oily paint or stain........what a mess.
So yesterday I had to go and get more paint,  and he painted and painted and painted....I do not understand why it took him so long, grrrr then I stopped at the grocery store too for a few things I forgot to get the day before.....don't you hate doing that. I am hoping here I am not the only one :)
Then, Lulu and I went outside to pick up the sticks that fall out from our dead tree every time we have heavy and not so heavy winds, LOL bending, kneeing, reaching and sweating did not do too good for me. After an our or so I couldn't even move, lol. Any how...it was garbage night and my son is the one in charge but he has been so busy with the extra curricular activities at school I decided to give him a break and Oh Boy! it was a lot of cardstock to cut for recycling, ouch! My poor hands.
Then it was making supper for my son before he left again... and then another supper for me and hubby.
Lulu was all stressed out because she loves our bed and she could not go up because we had stuff on it. She kept telling us to hurry up she wanted to go on the bed (barking is her way).
Oh my...by the time I had a chance to sit down and look at the new cartridges I remember I had to put my glaucoma drops in and they burned so bad last night couldn't see for a whille, lol.
What a day....I ended up smelling like Icy Hot when I went to bed that is after taking a nice shower, yeap after a nice shower I went to bed smelling like Icy Hot. LMBO
You can laugh too!

WILD CARD WITH LISA/PORTHOLE

Hello everyone!

I am happy to introduce the Porthole Card,
#23 in our Wild Card series and from page 55 of the cartridge handbook.
This came out to be a tiny card, lol.
I set my Gypsy size to 4-1/2 inches and what came out was a tiny but beautiful card.

My Porthole Card
4-1/2 inches

I can't remember where the polka dot paper came from but I am going to say DCWV. The base of the card is from Bazzill, the heart was cut twice to be able to pop it up with 3d adhesive.
The sentiment inside was cut from one of those Value Packs because for me they are perfect to cut smaller objects, in this case the card sentiment.

Don't you love Lisa's choice of paper and the sun, just perfect for Spring.

I hope you enjoyed the cards for today.
