MPS DT SUMMER COLOR CHALLENGE

This is my entry for Robyn's Color Challenge and the end of my term as one of My Pink Stamper Designers.
Good Luck to new designers and have lots of fun with it. I sure did!!!!!

In a jam?
I made this  Note Pad project and I sure hope you like it and maybe crack a smile or two. I used my Gypsy to weld some images. I wanted to recreate a gnome but it came out more like an Elf so I had to change my plans :-)
I also used my Bind It All and a Peachy Keen Stamp.

The colors requested were: brown, orange, pink and green. I also added blue as a contrasting color.

For the images I used the Paper Dolls cartridge for the body, ears, shoes and vest; the hat is from the Snow Friends seasonal cartridge.
In this project I tried to have a sense of humor since I have gained a few non-desirable pounds and no clothes fit right :(

In a jam?
...just perfect for my situation, lol.
(I know it looks more like a boy in girls clothes but remember that I had to alter my plans. :-)

In a jam?
is one of the new stamp set releases from My Pink Stamper called Fruit and Veggies.
As you can see you can use this one for other than fruits and veggies :-)

I also wanted to take this opportunity to say
Thank You So Much

for being so supportive and for all the love leave in your comments.
It means the world to me.
Love You All

BLOG AWARDS

Thank You my Friends

Here I have been awarded a few times and I am so very touched.
These "PRICELESS" awards come from:

Scrapping Eyes Creations

Some of these awards I had for a while and did not have time to post until now. If I have forgotten any of my friends who gave me any blog awards, please MY SINCERE APOLOGIES. I did not mean to ignore you. Sometimes I forget to save them or write down who are they from...you know I forget a lot :P

Love you all from my heart and for real and as I go blog hopping I will distribute the awards to different bloggers that I see fit....I mean we are all fit but some bloggers don't get to have awards for whatever reason or do not have some of the ones we have. I think is fair and I know the ones who gave these later awards won't mind.

Thanks So Much!!!!

PRESERVES

Hi everyone!
We have been Universities hopping, instead blog hopping, lol
Yesterday, we went to the University of Pennsylvania. What a beautiful place! The location is in the city too but for some reason it seemed a bit of a slower pace.

Anyhow, we still have a few more to go,  ;p

This card I made for My Pink Stamper's Summer Project.
Remember we did one Spring Treats on April; we did a Family project on May and this one below is the Summer Project.

Sweet Wishes
Watermelon Card
5 by 7 inch
Hello everyone...nothing says SUMMER to me like a nice, sweet and juicy slice of watermelon. Most of us include watermelon in our summer picnics and get together. We even make baskets with the watermelon hard skin to house some other fruits for our guests/host delight. Since I can't give you all the real thing I made this cute card for your inspiration.

It is a 5 by 7 inch card, the background paper is from K&Co and the solid textured cardstock is from AC. The watermelon is from the Preserves cartridge cut at 3.5 inches and the tag is cut at 1.75 inches. The sentiment on the tag reads: "Sweet Wishes" and the {made by me} is in the inside and both are from the My Pink Stamper clear stamps Sweet Occasions set. The card base is a kraft cardstock.
Enjoy my simple but sweet summer car.

HAVE A GRAPE DAY! CARD

Have a GRAPE Day!
4.25 by 5.5 inch
This is a sneak peek preview of the soon to be released  new set of clear stamps from Robyn called
Fruit and Veggies Puns
You can soon order them by clicking on

I used the Preserves cricut cartridge on this card and I cut the grapes at 4.25 inch high. I added some dimensions to the leaves and some stickles for the bling. It is just a simple card but it's beautiful in real life. The photo doesn't give it the justice it deserves. LOL

******************

and...you all know my son will be a senior this year and it's time to start looking at some universities. We went to Villanova and Temple Universities yesterday. They both are located in Philadelphia.
We will continue to visit more since he has a list of 11 universities he would like to visit and then he will start narrowing them down.

Also...Do you guys remember the High Honor Society Induction
Well...my son was elected President of the Society for his senior year.
YAY!!!
He was very happy and we are so very proud of him.

I hope you guys have a great day and
I will have a few more MPS clear stamps sneak peeks for you asap!

Love you all!

WILD CARD WITH LISA GRAND FINALE/ENVELOPE

Dear followers, friends, bloggers and all who stop by to my work...
I started the Wild Card Series with Lisa back on January 1st, 2010 with the Scallop Card.
Lisa contacted me after I made a comment on her blog asking if we can do a series together and that is how all started. Lisa couldn't finish all the cards because personal reasons but we together did most of them, one by one.
I contacted Lisa last week for the Finale of the series to see if she was up to one more but she is not going to be able to. I was looking forward to her response because I think it would have been nice if she could have joined me on this last one, which happens to be the envelopes but this would have given us a free will to make any card we wanted.

At the end of this month my term with Robyn aka My Pink Stamper as one of her designers,
will come to an end.
It was my first Designer Team experience and I learned a lot from it and I am very grateful to Robyn for giving me the opportunity to be one of the first ones on her first Design Team. It was an honor and I had lots of fun. Check the above MPS link to know the requirements to apply to be an MPS designer.
Good Luck and have fun.

So...I am done with the Wild Card series and done with Robyn almost at the same time. Ironic? or Coincidence? or a new window of opportunities? I do not know. I take one day at a time. I still have some projects to do as a MPSDT designer and then I will hopefully have a bit of extra time for my blog and maybe do some fun things with you guys. Let's see!

Now...I will introduce my last card and envelope from the Wild Card cartridge Series...
#50....
YAY!!!.

My Envelope
9.25W by 6-1/8"H
and the card I made for the envelope.
I used a Martha Stewart punch for the envelope.
It is a big envelope...It needed to be big for the Grand Finale, LOL.
I used  the same paper I used for the card background.

********
My Card
8-3/4W by 6"H
The fire truck is from the Independence Day Summer Collection seasonal cartridge and using my Gypsy and Expression I cut it at 4.50"H by 8.75"W and the layer came out to be 4.5"H by 8.44"W. I welded the I heart USA onto the ladder and I used very fine glitter to cover the heart. I also draw some doodles dots. That little blue star you see on the flag it was not supposed to be there...it is from when I did the corners and I punched it with a star punch. I did not realized when I took the photos it was there, lol.

On this photo you can see the small compartments on the fire truck opening up and you also can see the tires centers had been popped-up and a rhinestone added. You also can see an MPS clear stamp "Celebrate Today" from the Sweet Occasions set stamped with a Colorbox pigment ink. The card base is no other than a white textured American Crafts cardstock. the edges have been distressed on it and inked as I inked the truck too.

This word is from the same Independence Seasonal cart and I made a shadow layer in red but it's hard to see. The cart does not have a layer for this word. I cut this at 1.75"H and the width came out to be 4.41". I had to play a bit with it to get the shadow the right size.

I hope you enjoyed our series and like I said I am planning to do some fun things with you/for you guys.

Thanks for being there with me all the way and I know I inspired some of you because I read all of your  comments and that does makes me happy.

XOXO
to all.

NOTE: I joined the Cricut Circle (Agnes is covering her ears, lol)

BLOG AWARDS RECEIVED

I have been so blessed to have followers/friends like you guys.
I am so happy I started this blog.
You keep me going, yeap! you are the ones who keep me going on this journey. I have nobody around me to do my paper projects with but you guys. I used to show them to my hubby and son and in the beginning was like "Oh that is really pretty" or "Oh mom you are doing great" but it has been for a while now
I noticed they are not really much into the "oh and awe" anymore, lol.
So, it's you and me friends...just you and me...and when I receive these awards they do make me happy...
very happy knowing that I have people who actually likes my work and they take the time to comment
and take the time to think of me when Blog Awards come around. I am very thankful and grateful
I have you around with me, that we are together
on this hobby of ours.

These two awards come from
 Thanks dear Audrey!

I do not  like to use the phone much.
I am 5'8" tall.
I haven't finish my bedroom yet.
and this is for now...

If you haven't get any of these awards yet, please feel free to snatch it and put it in your blog from me. You all deserve it just for signing in and taking the time to come over and when time permits you even take the time to write your thoughts and share them with us.

On another note here:
I can't believe nobody guessed I gave the money to my son

I still will have the giveaway with the entries I got. I will have as many entries as guesses. WILD CARD WITH LISA/GIFT BOX

Hello everyone!

I want to take a moment here and acknowledge all my new friends/followers. I am so happy you guys are here and I hope I do not disappoint you with my work.
I am no pro but I do try my darn best to do a fine job here. So with that said, feel at home and know you have more than a blogger here... you can find a friend in me too.

Hugs and a BIG WELCOME to all.

Today we have the Gift Box, #49 in our series and you can find it on page #80 of the handbook.

My Gift Box
7 inches
(I believe this is a max size on a 12 by 12 mat)
This is my take on it. I know other crafters use a clear sheet to cover the front and they put candies/cookies in it but because I like to make boxed card sets this is what I made.
I used the Tim Coffey designer paper from K&Company and for the solid paper I used My Minds Eye.
This squared box at 7 inches ends up to be a 4.5 by 4.5 inch box. I hand cut the flower on the front from the same designer paper and I was going to do more to it but time did not allow it. I will make a better flower when time permits and then I will edit this post.

This is another view of the box.

These are the cards I made and to be truthful I used the Gypsy to cut the same cut that the gift box has on the front and I couldn't decide where and what size I wanted it so I opted for this one and just leave it simple because the paper is so awesome. (It took me a while and lots of scrap paper trying to make my mind, lmbo) Oh! and this paper/cardstock is from The Rockstar stack from DCWV because I did not want to keep using the beautiful paper from K&Co (shame on me, lol) but this DCWV paper/cardstock is as beautiful as the K one and it did hurt to use it too :D

I made 6 cards (2 of each) with their handmade envelopes.
The sentiments are stamped from different clear stamps from my stash.
The cards are 4.25 squared and the paper is 4 inch squared too. I inked all of it too.
I will give you the measurements for these envelopes. I used my Martha Stewart score board.
DIRECTIONS TO MAKE YOUR HANDMADE ENVELOPES
FOR A 4.25 INCH SQUARED CARDS.
---You need a 6-7/8 inches squared piece of paper (I used a printer/copy paper for these a bit thicker than the usual one).
---Align that piece of paper at the 6-1/2 inch score line on your score board and then score on the 4-1/4 inch marks on all sides.
---Fold on the scored lines and Voila...you have a handmade envelope for your 4.25 inch squared cards. You can lined them up if you want.
***********************************

This is a view of the how it looks in the inside: cards and envelopes together.

I hope you enjoy this Gift Box from the Wild Card Cricut cartridge.

One more project from the series and I can't believe I will be done.
It is not easy to do the whole cart.
It gets to you after a while :)

********************************

On another note I would love if you have the time and stop at
Mrs. Donna Mundinger's
and take a look at the Shower card she made. Donna says I inspired her and that is a major honor to me because when you see Donna's work you are the one who will be inspired and amazed at her creativity. Please, do not be shy and go there and see it for yourself. You will be glad you did if you didn't already, that is :D
******************************
More hugs and love to all and
Thanks for stopping by my friends.

WILD CARD WITH LISA/SHOWER

Hello my friends!
I was just at the Cricut MB and what a mess this Cricut Circle has brought in to the board.

and...I almost forgot about the Wild Card.
This is a very simple and beautiful card. I didn't make any fuss over it.
I think if you add too much, it will take away from it.

Shower Card
8 inches
(this is the max on a 12 by 12)
I just took scraps of cardstock and put them behind the open cuts and
n the back of them I used a long piece
of the same American Crafts white cardstock I used for the base of the card and cover them.
I used those flowers to cover a mistake.
(my yellow cardstock peeled right on top while trying to get adhesive off of it)
I also added some rhinestones for a bit of a bling.

I used a My Minds eye 12 by 12 paper to make the envelope. The envelope has a nice shape to it.
You can customize it to your needs too.

Well, this is it for now.

I hope you enjoy this simple card and I bet it look even better without the Prima flowers I had to use to cover the boo-boo.

Hugs to you all and have a nice day!

BIRTHDAY FUN WITH GYPSY WANDERINGS

Hello my friends

I just came back from the gym...yeah! I still going...you thought I was going to quit, uh? LOL
I haven't lost a pound yet and this week is my fourth week. Of course I am not following any specific diet,
just watching what I eat but I still have trouble with that
sweet tooth I have in my mouth.
I think I am going to pull it out, lmbo.

Anyway...I am here because I made a card last night. Since I purchased the G, I haven't hardly used any of the carts that came with it. I really like the images on Gypsy Wanderings and that is what I used last night.
I looked and saw this adorable boat and since one of the new
Lite Cartridges is called B is for Boys it came to my mind that B is for boats too, lol (what a goof, uh?)

I set the size at 5 inches and used  the hide contour on my G for first time (much easier to use than on DS), then I flipped the image on the left and did the welding.

I cut the welded images on white Wausau Linen cardstock. Then I added three more boats on my G screen/mat  at 4.75. I used three 5 by 5 squares of cardstock (red, blue and kraft) and cut. I then cut those boats in different pieces to assemble my boat. I did some texture to the mastil with my cuttlebug and faux-stitched around everything.

These are some rub-on's I added to the inside and more faux-stitch.

These are the inside sides.

and this is a close-up with the MPS Birthday Fun clear stamp.

I am so surprised about this beautiful image right there in the Gypsy and I did not see it before.

Hope you like it and find this post useful.

Psss! nobody has guessed yet what I did with the money.
I will wait until Friday and then I will tell.

Thanks for stopping by!

I will have Wild Card #48 tomorrow.
I can't believe I am almost done with them.
YAY!!!!

Have a great day!

Hugs!

WILD CARD WITH LISA/CELEBRATE

I managed today to make the
Celebrate card from the
Wild Cards Series.
This card is #47 and you can find it on page #78 of the handbook.

My Celebrate Card
5 inches
I used the Latte Stack from DCWV for this card. It is a very soft textured cardstock and it cut very nice. I set the pressure and blade depth at 4 and had absolutely no problems.

As you can see I made my card with a tag for the sentiment that you can pull out from the top instead the handbook version of opening on the side as a standard card. I used the MS punch called Checker Board to adorn the top edge of the tag. I really like this punch.
I also inked everything. The lid on the bottle was cut beige cardstock from the same stack and colored in with a golden color marker from from Dri Mark/Metallic Colors. I also like these markers.

I used the same marker to garbled a script for the label and I used the {HUGS} clear stamp from My Pink Stamper SWEET OCCASIONS set. I was going to use the one that reads Celebrate Today but I already had the little tag attached and it did not fit well in the small space I had.

The envelope is really nice too and if you want to make it a standard envelope you can with no damage at all.

Well, this is it for today.
Thanks again for visiting and you know I love you all.

Note: I already have the address for the winner and I have already part 2 of the game planned :D

OK...GAME IS OVER...

I just came back from a meeting and two of you guessed the right amount but I do have to go with the first one that posted as I said before.

Now, I did say FOLLOWERS and because I do understand sometimes we do not read the whole post I am going to let this one slide because the person who won is not a registered follower but it is obvious she follows my blog because she was here...know what I mean?

Sooo..... the winner is
craftymom205
who said:
"I'll say $25.00. The cards are great.
Thanks to all of you who participated.
This was a short and fun thing to do.
It was nice reading all the guesses!!!
Now...congratulations to craftymom205.

A GUESSING GAME WITH A PRIZE

Hello my dear friends!

I was thinking I would make a game out of the set of cards my dear neighbor wanted me to make for her.
I really did not want to charge her a penny because she is a dear to me but she insisted and I was curious to know how much other people will pay for a set of 20 handmade cards with storage.

I wasn't going to use my cricut for them but ended up adjusting in the Gypsy the one inch bag from  Back To Basics instead a box for the cards, but... I forgot to take pics, Duh!...  but you know those bags are a darling.
Anyway...I used some K&Co embellishments for the bags and I also ended up
using ten cards from the Wild Card series because I wasn't going to have time to make another ten in the time framed I had. I did not want to get sloppy. You know I suffer from chronic pain and I need to do things little by little and rushing was going to hit me hard. lol.

Well, enough of blah-blah-blah,
here is a collage of the ten I made.
I hope you like them too.
My neighbor loved them all.
(click on it for a bigger view)

I have one Me and My Big Ideas Kit I bought at Ross as a small  prize for playing along.

It will belong to the first follower who guesses how much I got paid :P

Have fun!

DAILY LIFE

Hello my dear blogger friends

I hope you guys had a better weekend than I did. I was so mad this weekend with some personal things I was flipping out like a nut, lol
Thanks goodness I know how to calm myself too and I understand sometimes I need to snap to vent out :D

Anyhow,

Audrey's from CUTE AND SOME
has sent this email to all her fairies:

(copied and pasted below)
....."Hi, guys!  I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this problem or not, but I can't post anything on my blog nor can I comment on anyone else's.  I can log on my blog, but I can't do anything.  Every time I try to post or comment, I get a message saying "Blogger is currently unavailable".

If I do not have the showcase winners posted by the morning, could you please let my viewers know I am having this issue and I don't know what to do about it.  There is no contact info for Google, so I have no clue how you're supposed to get issues resolved.  I did leave a question in the forum but who know how long someone may take to respond.

Also, when I tried to leave a comment on your blogs, my name comes up with Friends Connect and not Google.  Google is not even on the list in the comment section, so I don't know what's going on.

If you're having this problem too, please let me know.  I don't know how to reach my viewers.  In the meantime, I'll keep trying.

Thanks guys"......
 ********

Also, I won't be having any Wild Card Series this week due to I am working on some other cards.
On Christmas I made A Box of Cards for one of my neighbors and she just asked me yesterday if I can make two sets of 10 cards for Wednesday in their boxes. I will be making standard regular cards, not too many details involved. It takes me about an hour+ to make a cricut or any other detailed card.
I wasn't going to charge her but she insisted. I am going to ask her to give whatever she wants. I am almost done with one set and as soon as I finish I will post photos.
This is the reason I will be postponing the Wild Card Series for this week.

*************

I also wanted to THANK the ladies that participated on my challenge at Audrey's Showcase #9. I really appreciate you all playing along with me. You all did beautifully and I was very happy to see your take on the challenge.

WILD CARD WITH LISA/HANUKKAH

I am not in love with this card at all.
I do not like how it came out but for lack of time I didn't make the other version. I wanted to be kind of true to the original colors of blue and silver but for some reason I guess I left my mojo behind today.
This is what I got and please leave me you options
or tips how would you make this one more attractive to the eye.
This is card # 46 from page # 77 of the handbook.

Despite the fiasco I proudly present you

My Hanukkah Card
5 inches
The blue cardstock base is from Debbie Mumm. I believe the silver one is from DCWV.
---
I added Glossy Accent to the star after changing the color a bit with a marker.
I added stickles to the candles and embossed the darker blue paper.
---
This is the inside and I outlined the phrase with my Cri-Kits black pen,
not that you can see it well on the photo.

I know you guys are very sweet and you are going to say it's perfect but I know is not me...not my style.
But...that is what came out today :(

(SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE IT BETTER ARE WELCOME)

UPDATE: My pearls were too big for the star but I found this little rhinestones ones on a pack I have in my stash. They were pumpkins but you can take the tiny jewels apart and that is what I did.
I definitely think it looks much better.
Thanks again for your input ladies.

Here is the new and improved Hanukkah Card
 What do you think?

Hugs to all!

a nice Memorial Day Celebration.

I am here to introduce you to another card of the Wild Card Series.

I had pressure and blade depth at 3 and it cut like butter, lol.
---
This is the inside.
(NOTE:  I adhered all the KI papers to a cardstcok base from Debbie Mumm).
---
The back of the card and the envelope using a construction paper again.
