MY "GUINEA PIG" CARD

HEHEHE
I wanted to try this house from the Sugar n Spice Lite cartridge. Well, I wasn't going to use a nice paper just for a prototype because normally my first try does not come out exactly nice. I look in my box for not so pretty cheap papers and I choose this orange/yellow paper. Well-Well! lol.
The house was welded and cut at 5 inches and then everything else was cut accordingly. The grass is the only cut from another cartridge: Paper Dolls for everyday.
I called this card my Guinea Pig because at first I was just experimenting.

My Guinea Pig Card
5 inches
What do you think?
I think all is in the details.
(You can click on the photos for a larger view)
I kept adding some things here and there.
Lots of bling, some butterflies.
Some flower heads were also added and more bling.
It is also very dimensional.

What do you think about it?
Sometimes we do not like how certain projects come out
but if you keep adding subtle details, you really can transform it.

Thanks for stopping by!

If you want to enter for the giveaway please
You will have until Monday, August 2nd 10:00AM EST to enter.

Hugs to all!

LAST GRAD CARD 2010 (ETA POP-UP-TEMPLATE)

FOR THE "LOTS OF PUN"
STAMP SET GIVEAWAY

Now, onto my last (I hope) Graduation card, lol.
My son has so many friends it has been party after party.
and my green pocket is almost empty. lol

EDITED TO ADD POP-UP TEMPLATE
PLEASE SCROLL DOWN

This card I made in a super speed mode cause my son had to leave at certain time.  I am too picky making my cards and I do not like to be rushed. So with that said you won't find many details but it was
my first pop-up card
and I wanted to show it here. I know the diploma came out a bit too large but I did not have time to cut it again or add anything else. Not even the envelope but, here it comes.
It was fun to do the pop-up card and I think I will be making more of them.

I hope you like it.

and Thanks for stopping by.

POP-UP TEMPLATE
It is really easy and it will work with any shape as long as you know the basics.
enjoy!

Do not forget to sign up for the giveaway,  (click here)
and the post is the one below this one.

Have you been watching the CHA videos from the gals that were lucky enough to be there?
I have and I am having fun too.
Hugs!

The "gold" in the treasure chest is from some jewelry charms I also have and I purchased those for 50 cents at Joann's.
I knew I would find somewhere to use them, :)

IT'S NOT EASY BEING PINK BLOG HOP!

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the Blog Hop in which we are sending out a big
THANK YOU
to
Robyn, My Pink Stamper
for allowing us the privilege and honor of being part of her design team for the first term. We also would love to thank her for her creativity and sharing her talent with us. She is an amazing person who is always doing things for others, so we wanted to do something special, just for her! If you are starting here, this is a Blog Hop that includes 7 bloggers total, which consists of the previous My Pink Stamper Design Team (Emma is still a current designer). Our theme is "Thank You" so you will see that throughout each blog as you hop along. You will defiantly want to check out everyone's project and, each blog has a fun giveaway to offer!! This is going to be so much fun, so let's get started!!!

This is my project forRobyn
A Note/Card Holder
I took two 12 by 12 pieces of chipboard and adhered them together with Scor-Pal double sided tape. I used the Rock Star collection from DCWV to cover the front (I left the back side raw :)) and I took another 12 by 12 chipboard and cut it at 4 inches and 8 inches for a total of three 4 inches pieces and covered them with more DCWV and another piece of cardstock from an unknown stash of mine :).  I added ribbons I purchased at Target and added those to the top of the 4 inches pieces with a glue gun. I then adhered those pieces to the front to make pockets for notes, cards, reminders etc. The fibers are from EK and the silver color chain from a ACM. The heart with the sentiment from a jewelry department. The buttons, gems, silver hem are from supplies I have collected.
The crown is from Once Upon a Princess, image #45 using shift and the phrase feature. I cut it at 2.94" using my Gypsy to weld the "R" from Blackletter and crown together and cut it out on chipboard. I then cut the same welded image again on the same DCWV cardstock. I also use "metal sheets" from Quickcutz to cut the "R" again to match the fabulous and the stars that were already on the cardstock.

Below is a  better view of the fibers which can be used to hang the holder on the wall if desired.

and on this one (below)
I am showing the card I submitted to be taken in consideration to be one of her designers. I am sending it to her for keeps.
I hope you enjoyed it and I hope to see it in on her scraproom wall one day :-)

THE EYE

I was on another blog and the owner was explaining something about the design she had on her Gypsy screen and she was apologizing, kind of, about the other layers that show through on the active screen.

Well, I do not know if you know this but if you click on the eye of that layer you do not want to see, this eye closes and the image(s) from that other layer are no there anymore. You can see your Gypsy active layer screen with no distractions from the background.

I did make a comment about it on her blog but got me thinking if any of you knows about
THE EYE
 SEE U later!

You have to start at Julie's and then visit the next blog and so on.
So, Please...I invite you to visit each one's blog to see what we made and for a chance to win
some blog candy.

This is my giveaway and the winner will be chose using Random.org. All I ask is you to leave a comment on Saturday's post and a way to contact you in case you win.
This is the first time I am one of the hostess in a blog hop,
Yay!

Robyn...
we love you !!!
and this blog hop is in your honor you and we thank you for giving us the opportunity to be your designers and to expand our horizons.

Friends, this is for you too.

We hope you have lots of fun hopping around.

MADE WITH SCRAPS

Just a small squared card made with scraps of ribbons.

Isn't she a cutie?
I cut a 4 by 4 square of chipboard, took some leftover pieces of ribbon, using Score-pal double sided tape I wrapped the scraps of ribbon around the chipboard square. I found a piece of cardstock from Debbie Mum and used it as the background. The black chipboard flower is from a dollar store embellishment pack. I used George and Basics shape to cut a silhouette of a square from the same cardstock and a  piece of white cardstock for the sentiment and I adhered it to the inside.
Nice n' Easy
use of your scraps.

TUESDAY TREATS PROJECT

Hello my friends...
this is a copy and paste of my post for the Tuesday Treats.
I was invited to replace one of their designer who couldn't make it for yesterday.
I was sooo happy to be there among so many talented and well known crafters.
Enjoy!

*********
Hello to all!
My name is Agnes
aka
flowerdisco from

I am so very happy to be at Tuesday Treats. I was invited by Pam to fill in for somebody who couldn't make it today. A bit intimidated to be among so many great talented ladies and hoping you like my card.
The cart of the month is Sentimentals and I chose the phone from page 59.  I used my Gypsy to weld both sides of the image and to weld the doorknob from page 34 to use it as a closure and as a stand for the card. It did not come out as I had it in my mind so I had to tweak it a bit and change plans.

Here is my
Hi card
at 4.5 inches high
I used the DCWV Songbird Collection stack for this project.
========
The Hi was cut at 1 inch and you can find this on page 25 of the handbook.
================
A closer view of the dimensional dial.
==============
I am showing here a strip of black paper and that is the doorknob cut that I ended up
welding to the card base.
===========

Here you can see the front of the doorknob.
===========
The back of the card and the other side of the doorknob.
===========
I am showing here a little pouch I made with a scrap of cardstock to insert the one side of the doorknob.
==============

This is the inside.
When I started the card I started it with a white cardstock as the base but then I decided to use black instead and the white insert you see here was from that first try :)
============

This is a photo of my Gypsy screen where I added all my images ready to be duplicate to cut on the next layer. This is how I do most of my trials and errors. After I am satisfied, then I re-arrange everything to be cut, if possible, on one 12 by 12 mat.

I appreciate you stopping by
and
Thanks to Pam
for inviting me over.

Hugs to all!

BLOG AWARDS AND A CARD

Hello friends!

I have received a few awards in the past weeks and wanted to share them with you all.
I always get so excited when I get them. It always feels so good. But, you all know I like to share them with all my followers and I am asking you to feel free to grab the ones you do not have already. It is always hard to choose whom to give them too..

This one is the
Versatile Blogger Award
and it comes from my dear friend
Pam
 and
 from my other dear friend
Sheila aka Sassy Lady

 --------

This one below I didn't have and my dear friend
Brigit
was very thoughtful too, and made me a proud owner of the
Cherry on Top Award.
Thanks so much Pam, Sassy and Brigit for the beautiful awards.
Thanks from the heart!
(Remember that you can click on their names to go their blogs and get inspire for sure).

Now,
I have a card I made the other day, actually I made two with the same cut  from the
Straight from the Nest Cricut Cartridge.

Hey, chicka
You can find this cage on page #35 of the handbook. I cover the bird with the one I punched from one of my Fiskars paper punches.
I can't remember the papers I used but the copper dots that I love so much are from a small bottle of dimensional fabric paint. The brand is Polymark and I got it from a ACM, M's or Walmart. I know it was from one of those places and the color is Light Bronze. You put a small drop on the paper and flick it with your fingers to flatten it a bit and voila...you get these darlings.
-----------
This is the second one.
Chirp Up
The card base I used for both cards is  from A Child's Year,
page #50 I believe
(I better start making notes of what I do and what I use so I do not forget :)
I am so sorry. I promise I will get better).
This card I gave to one of my son's friends to give to his mom who is battling breast cancer.

The sentiments "Hey, chicka" and "chirp up"
are from my
Robyn aka My Pink Stamper
clear stamp sets.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

HAVE A TWEET DAY

Hello friends!

Let me present you to my
Have a Tweet Day card
7 inches high
This card is a fusion of different things :-)
The base is from Just Because Cards and you can find it on page #44.
----------

The birdbath, the leaves, the butterfly, the flowers are from Serenade
----------

The sun and the flourishes are from G-Studio clear stamps.
The bird is from a Fiskars paper punch.
The sentiment is from MPS,  "Have a Tweet Day"
Tweetie Hoo Puns clear stamps set.
---------

The ribbon is from my stash and I can't remember the manufacturer.
It is a sheer ribbon and it has some bling on it. I also used stickles and I inked everything.
---------

I also made the insert to go inside the card from the same cart (JBC) and added an eyelet on the top and inserted a string through the eyelet opening to pull out  the insert with ease. Sorry I forgot to take pics of that.
The envelope was made with a construction paper and lined.
---------
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy this card.
