BOO EASEL CARD FOR MADE BY MOMO TUESDAY CHALLENGE

Thanks to Momo!!!
for the easy to follow directions on the cards she demoed in her first class on the Ustream Monday night.
This is momo's blog below in case you want to visit her:

I made my first Easel Card yesterday to enter it in Momo's Tuesday Challenges. This week theme ""is to use Black and White, and then you can pick 1 other color of your choice"".
I chose red as my complimentary color.

My first Easel Card
4.25 inch

you can also find videos on you tube to make this card and on many other blogs too, just google "easel card'.

My ghost and my Boo! phrase are from Happy Hauntings. The ghost was cut at 3.75 inch and the phrase and its shadow at one inch. I used foam tape for dimension on the ghost. The bats on the red background are stamped. The nice checker board paper is from Me & My Big Ideas. I digged out the R.I.P. from a K&CO die cuts Halloween bag and I traced the letters with a red glitter marker because they were orange in color. I did not need orange but red. :)
I used a Martha Stewart punch for the tombstones border and add a strip of white AC cs behind it to make stand out better. The half moon is a circle altered into a crescent moon. I also adhered one of my eyes next to the phrase to keep watching you, lmbo.

This easel card is not hard at all to make, actually is really easy.
try it and let me see what you come up with.

Thanks for Visiting!

Love you all.

GOING PLACES FANTABULOUS CRICUT CHALLENGE

Fantabulous Cricut
http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/2010/08/challenge-me-monday-25.html
is having their Challenge Me Monday.
These are some of the requirements:
""Challenge #25
Road Trip
Create a card or project incorporating a vacation or travel.

As always there needs to be an image cut using your cricut on your project to be eligible for the prizes"".

This is my entry
Going Places
3.25 inches high by 7.5 inches wide
The card base is from Just Because Cards image #10 and used sideways.

The luggage is from Going Places cut at 2 inch. All images have been inked and outlined.

The bicycle is also from Going Places and cut at 2 inches high.

The papers used are from K&CO. Road trip Collection and the sentiment is one of the collection stickers: WEHVFUN, cute, uh?

These two photos to the left are the inside of the card and the border and die cut are The Road Trip stack.

The blue paper was zig zagged by hand (OH MY!) lol  with the old shaped scissors I had in the very back of my closet :) The map in the background is from Going Places too and I had to stretched it out a bit to cover most of the card front.

Well, this is it for now.

Wish me luck in the
Challenge Me Monday
challenge from Fantabulous Cricut blogspot.

WINTER WONDERLAND MPS CHALLENGE

So, I have been working on this card ALL DAY on and off while doing chores.
By the time I finished the light wasn't the best and some pictures are so-so.
I was determined to upload it today so here it comes.

Winter Wonderland
8 inches tall
I used Joys of the Season to make this card. Since this image does not have separate layers I had to cut the house in sections so I wouldn't waste much paper. I moved the house around on the mat on my Gypsy screen and cut what I just needed in the papers I wanted, using my Expression.
I also used Create a Critter for the string of lights and Christmas Cheer for the "Mrs. Snowmen" hehehe. I had these old Peechy Keen stamps and attempted to make her pretty so I gave her a face and red lips, lol.
(I forgot to stickle the whole scarf but I will do it tomorrow, blame it on Lulu who wants to play every time I go in my studio, grrr!).

Here to the left is the bad photo and
remember you can click on all photos for a better view.

The sentiment Winter Wonderland is from
MPS Winter Punnies Clear Stamps set
and you can find where to order
clicking

I used a snowflakes Cuttlebug die as you can see on your left and I stickled them with the diamond one. I also outlined around the images. I started doing the faux  stitches but it just didn't look too good. I like the outlining better. The door knob is yeap, you guessed it....the old brad. LOL. On the tree trunks I used again the brown Puffy fabric marker.

If you noticed the sentiment here is on a rectangle piece of paper and that is nothing but to cover a mistake. I first stamped the sentiment directly on the cardstock and I messed up. I had to cut this piece of cardstock and stamp it again to cover my boo-boo. I added another snowflake and a small star covered with bling and much-much better.

This is the inside of the card with more of the same snowflakes. You noticed a small strip of paper and that is a stand for the card. The house is 8 inches tall and the regular A2 size card on the back needed some support. I was going to weld it all with the Gypsy but again...that Lulu made me forget. :)
The paper used is from the Peppermint stack from DCWV. The black and white are from American Crafts and the plain red one is from a Hobby Lobby stack.

I hope you like it and thanks for stopping to visit.

and Good Luck.

GRUESOME

Sooooo, I got Happy Hauntings at ACM on Monday!
Oh man...this cart is super! I am loving it. The font is awesome too and all the 3D images absolutely gorgeous.
This is a card I made with it just to try it.

Gruesome
5.5 inch square

The witch's hat on the horse is a dollar clear stamp. I thought I better start using them a bit, lol.
The horse was cut at approximately 4 inches tall and the phrase at 1.50". The layers are very easy to work with and as I said before I love the font too.
The bats border is a Martha Stewart's punch from last year and the cute pumpkin face is another dollar clear stamp.

I think this cart is a must.
I also have the Oct 31st but haven't used it yet :)
Take care and I see you soon.

HARVESTING TAG

This tag is for a challenge at
for a chance to win a Wall Decor Cricut cartridge.
Please, visit Kim and have fun participating.

I have called my tag
Harvesting
(Did I say already Autumn is knocking at my door?, lol).
This tag is from the
Winter Woodland cartridge
you can find it on page 46, cut at
5 and 4.75 inch tall.
(remember you can click on my photos for a bigger view)
Below you will find the requirements for the challenge:
(COPY AND PASTED FROM http://olivejuicestudio.com/

"The Dirty Details:
1.  Your project must include a stamped image – it can be a rubber, clear or digital stamp image OR it may include a clip art image.
2.  It must include at least one Cricut cut.
3.  It must include fiber, a ribbon or fabric somewhere in the project.
4.  It must include at least one piece of bling – such as a bead, pearl, gemstone, glitter, etc.
5.  It needs to include at least one patterned paper.
This challenge can be anything – a card, scrapbook page, tag, altered item, home decor, repurposed/recycled item, etc.  The deadline is 11:59PM, August 31st, 2010.
This contest will be based on a drawing of all participants who enter.  The winner receives a Cricut cartridge courtesy of Memory Miser!"

These are some supplies I used
Let's start from the beginning:

1-The tag was cut with American Crafts textured cardstock; one time in the deep red and then on beige.

2-The beige cardstock was then colored with those paints you are looking at from Yasutomo and I purchased them in a not so local scrapbook store. They have a nice shine to them and I really love them. I do not have any of those nice misters but this set do its job well.

3- I then used my Cuttlebug to emboss it with my Perfectly Paisley embossing folder.

4- I have tons of stamps: cheap ones and not so cheap but not as expensive as SU brand (I do not own any SU yet) but this is the second time I use this sunflower from the dollar clear stamps. Isn't gorgeous?

5- I do not have Copics but Marvy Uchida markers I got at M's once for $5 in clearance. I used the yellow, brown and orange one for the sunflower and then I used the copper Yasutomo paints to give them that deeper and shiny color to them.

6- I took one of my dollar wooden stamps and stamped three leaves with green ink and I used the green Yasutomo on them too.

7-I used another dollar clear stamp for the sentiment and added a small faux jewel from my stash.

8- I added that beautiful button from my button's box.

9- I forgot I had to used patterned paper so I made a button using the Martha Stewart button punch and added some twine and used the same twine for the holder and...
10- Now, that tag hangs on one of my kitchen cabinets. Phew! I do not think I ever explained my projects in so much detail...lol.
Hope you like it and get inspired to make some tags for this coming season. Use them in homemade goodies, hostess gifts, presents, your garden harvest and more.
A couple more pics I forgot to add:

Have fun and I love you all!

ALTERED SKETCHBOOK N CARD

Hello everyone!
We are having Autumn weather in the neighborhood. It has been cloudy and rainy and cool, yeah!
After the heat waves we had this weather is just perfect for me.
Well, my son has many friends and therefore many, many birthdays and graduation parties and get together's.
I have made many, many graduation cards and birthday cards as some of you might know.
He went to New York on Sunday for a musical (for second time in less than a month) to celebrate a friend's birthday.

 My Altered Sketchbook N Card
is my present to her.
T likes to draw and she does a very good job too.
It is mostly non-cricut. I used a K& Co cardstock and embellishments, some faux pearls, stickles, Fiskars Effervescent punch, and rub-ons for.  I also added some doodling with my new white pen from Marvy called Reminisce. I purchased this pen at ACM and I really like it. The clerk said some people returned them because they seem to run out of ink fast but I really don't care because I love the way the ink flows. They are just a $1.49, so what? if I like them , right? LOL. The big scallop and circle was cut with the Expression and I can't remember what cart I used because I did not save it to my G :( but there are so many you really won't care to know anyway :)

I hope you like it and gets to inspired you a bit.
as I got inspired by Tracy from
with her altered notebook.
then I was browsing yesterday and I saw Amy's from
work on another notebook.

Hugs to All!

MY TINY SCRAPROOM

Thought you might like to see it.

HOO'S HAVING A BIRTHDAY

Hello everyone!!!
This summer has been so hot we neglected a lot of yard work because we did not want to deal with the weather. Yesterday, I went around the house checking the grass and plants and our yard is a disaster. Hopefully, the weather gets better as we move into autumn and we can start getting things in order.
Later on I was looking at some photos for my son's marching band book and I saying to myself it is a shame I do not scrapbook more often. So I got all enthusiastic for a moment and made this layout. :)

Hoo's Having a Birthday
12 by 12 inch layout
using the
Hoot 'N Holler Lite
Cricut Cartridge

The base cardstock is The Green Stack from DCWV and the rest is from American Crafts.
The phrase was cut at 5.14" H x 8.96" W  and the party hat was tweaked a bit with the Gypsy. Finally, I decided to cut it at 3.5" high and 1.95" wide. I used the white pen for the doodling, some stickles, popped-up the hat and added a K&CO border to the photo mat.
Having such a beautiful paper as the base it was not much more I needed to do.
I hope you like it too.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
Hugs!

U R The Apple of my Eye

Hello all

ETA: hovering not working :(

On this post I am trying something new I found on the web so please be patient with me while I learn the whole process. I am not computer savvy :( and it does takes me a while to comprehend the instructions and details of it.
If you hover over the photo(s) you are going to find some small white dots and those little white dots will give you some information on my projects. It is a bit time consuming for me so far but, I hope it does get easier with practice :)

U R The Apple of my Eye card
5 by  inch card
(The only photo with the tags is this first one)

How did you like the hovering?
:)
Fun, uh?
hehehe
***

The U R letters are stickers from Making Memories.

The scroll is from Give a Hoot.

All the dots (they are beautiful in real life) were made with a Gelly Roll Sakura pen called Clear Star and it is like glitter...soft  glitter if I can call it that.

On this photo above I want you to notice the texture on the apple stem. It was done with...
this
I believe I bought it at Joann's in a pack of six. It is a fabric marker made by Marvy Uchida. I love this brown color texture but so far that is the only color I have tried. What you do is  you heat the ink/paint with your heat tool and voila.

Also, in the background you might notice two black with red objects hehe. Those are the stamps I bought from Eileen's Ebay Store. You can win one of her stamps if you win the Sweet Pagoda challenge. These ones are self inking and very pretty to look at too, lol.

Well, I hope you enjoyed today's post and the new Tag Tool I played with.
Hugs to All!
