WATCH ME GO

Not too good here :( husband is sick and we all know how that goes. I have to chaperon tonight for him and I really hope he feels better tomorrow because we have a competition on Saturday and another one on Sunday. I can't do the competitions because they are too long and my health does not allow it.

Anyhow,
I got at ACM the other day 3 new carts, each one for 35$. I couldn't let that sale just go by me, lol.
I had to borrow money from my son....now...isn't that bad? lol.

Watch me Go
is the card I made with
Boys will be Boys.
The truck was cut at 3 inches high and so was the inside phrase too.

This cartridge is really nice. Easy to layer and the images are very cool.
As boys will say..."Cool Mom, Cool" not cute :)
The truck was popped on foam squares and I used all the layers from the image.
The "Watch me Go" is from a stamp set I own from Recollections,

Enjoy!

NON-CRICUT CARDS

I made these cards just because I have so many supplies from other companies I need to use. Of course, I will be listing them on Etsy not that I have been having a great response there. There are so many new sellers, the listings get buried among others super fast. If you have an Etsy shop, you know what I am talking about. I have been blogging for a year now and I did not listed anything on Etsy during that time. It is like starting new again.
It is nice making cards the old fashion way, when I did not have my cricut and I had fun with them.

ETA: I should clarify I love my cricut and I love using it but I do love making NON-CRICUT cards too and I just made this cards, they are new.............but just made the old-fashion way........when I did not have my cricut yet, lol
Anyhow,
These are the cards I just made.

and these are some pics of my neighborhood so you can see some of the beautiful and rich colors of the leaves at this time of the year. They were taken today.

Enjoy!
and Thanks for all the sweet comments on "Playing with Serenade" finale.
It will take me a few days to go back and see who commented the most here on my blog. I am sorry but I can not take in account the comments you left to my friends on their blogs.
We will do something together again but it will be after the holidays.
Love you all!

"PLAYING WITH SERENADE" by flowerdisco & friends FINALE

HERE WE ARE
on our last round of
"PLAYING WITH SERENADE"
This is our
"GRAND FINALE"

Thanks so much for the support received
It is what kept/keep us going.
I hope you guys found some inspiration with our projects. We kept the series "short and sweet" and we are very happy of how well we managed to have the posts ready for Wednesday's without any delays. This was a very busy time for all of us with our own blogs, design teams and life itself.
A big applause and a big bravo to
Abby, Gaby, Helen, Jessica, Melissa and Sally
for helping me make this series a success.
Thanks to you again for being there for us.
Your lovely comments and encouraging words warmed our hearts.
(remember that all who commented on my series more than two times, will be given a number as an ID and I will use that # on  Random.org to select a winner for a little surprise in appreciation).
This is the "POST" where I mentioned something about it (wink-wink)

I now will present my card for today.
I had images #44 and 50
and both were used in the making of this project.

SERENADE FINALE
5.75"high by 6.5" wide
(I still have to make a customized envelope for this one:))
The cage is image #44 and the flourishes is image #50.

The papers/cardstocks are absolutely adorable. They are from "Mi Casa" a DCWV collection. Gorgeous colors and textures in this stack.

Just beautiful!

The birdcage was cut at 3.5 inches high. It has its shadow but I did not use it for this card.

I embellished the birdcage with some bling I have in my supplies and the little golden dots were done with a metallic fabric paint.

This is just another view of the card front and if you want to see it closer, remember you can click on the photos themselves for a bigger view.

This is the inside of the card. I normally don't do the inside left side but when I did the card swap, I liked how Melissa covers both panels and it really adds a nice touch to the inside. The black cardstock is from my stash and not from the Mi Casa collection.

You already know this is the back :) and my customized stamp from Eileen's store.
You can find Eileen's store link on my blog side bar.

Now we move on to the last Serenade projects that my friends made to share with you.

ANYTHING FALL

Hello to all my friends, followers and visitors.

As we all know: TIME FLIES. This is already my fourth week with
as one of Nilda's designers. Go ahead and click on the above link and have fun participating in the challenge. Nilda has some sponsors and you know that means giveaways :)

This week the challenge is
"Anything Fall"

This is my take on it.
A Shoe-House Fall Card
5.5 inches tall
This shoe-house is from  the
My Community
Cricut Cartridge.
Don't you love it already???? :)
You can find it on page #22.
I flipped it on my Gypsy so it will be looking to the right.

I used the Tiny Mosaics cuttlebug folder (one of my favorites) for the roof and the chimney. The chimney was added because I felt it needed something else in the top. As you can see it was a good addition, nothing fancy but it did make a difference. ;)

The beautiful papers are from Prima. The orange cardstock from American Crafts.

Remember you can click on the photos for a bigger view.

The leaves to the left are from the Cindy Loo cartridge and the flower I made with a paper punch.

Everything has been inked and blinged ;).
I added some glossy accents to the windows for a "glass like" shine.

The wheel barrel is from the Freshly Picked cartridge and the pumpkin from A Child's Year. I used the hide contour feature on the pumpkins.

This is how the back of the card looks.

 and this is the inside.

I added another pumpkin and more punched oak leaves to the inside.

and here is that beautiful shoe house card again.

Awesome!

(many hours were invested in the making on this card)
lol...for real....I guess you gotta love what you do to really enjoy the process.

 On another note,

I want to acknowledge a person I met through Etsy. Her name is Krista and she used to be my customer when I first opened my shop. You all know I neglected my shop while taking care of blogging and I just started listing  again. When Krista saw my name on Etsy, she quickly contacted me to welcome me back. She now has her own shop and she just became my follower here. Krista was always a darling to me and as you can see a good friend too.
This is one of the reasons I love the internet. I have made so many nice friends.
You guys are a great example of it.
I am very happy knowing Krista was real to me too.
Thanks Krista for the nice Welcome, you really warmed my heart.

Now, really quick........click HERE to go to "The Cuttlebug Spot" and see what the other designers have made for your enjoyment this week. Get inspired and have fun participating on this week's challenge
"Anything Fall".

Love You!

and I see you again on Wednesday when I will be presenting the
finale of Playing with Serenade.

"PLAYING WITH SERENADE" by flowerdisco & friends

hello dear friends

a big welcome to my new followers
don't be shy and let me know how you like the projects :)

another Wednesday is rolling by and this is round #6 of Playing with Serenade.
Today  I am showcasing image #37: a pretty bird.
(I think most of us have birds this week)
this is my project for this round.

Fun  Fall
4.5" square card
I was going to glue the bird in the inside but I did not measure right and it was to big.

The bird is leaving for a while to Welcome Fall.
I know I should have put the bird on the left door. But he was already flipped and cut :(
The inside is embossed with the Cuttlebug using the Allegro embossing folder.
The small leaves were punched out.

The bow is from Ashlyn's Alphabet and you find it on page 56.
The front door was made just cutting (I did this part manually) half a circle and a slit in the middle, leaving space to score half an inch on the sides.

 this is the inside.

The idea of the door opening like it I took it from the magazine below :)
