LULU, GARLAND AND FIRST SNOW

I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Super Deals on Black Friday. I do not go out on Black Fridays...can't stand the crowd...but my son went late on the day and got a few deals.

Things will be slow around here with my holiday preparations. BUT, I am already done with a good house cleaning, laundry is up to date. I will start decorating for Christmas on Sunday and on Monday I will go shopping for groceries. I still have to plan my son's 18th birthday but that is easy.

I finished my neighbors small garland and she loved it. We are getting together to make some snowflakes for her to hang around the house. That will be fun since I always work alone.

Here are some pics I wanted to share with you guys.
At the end of this month it will be a year since we adopted Lulu. We will celebrate that too. It is like her birthday because who knows what kind of life she had before.
She is our princess now and she knows it too.

 Love you all!

NOTE:

Nobody has participated on the making of the Jingle Bell but TR who already sent me her pic. The giveaway is my last scrabble pendant.

THANK YOU CARDS---THE CUTTLEBUG SPOT CHALLENGE---

Hello to All

Today we have another challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot
the information below was copied and pasted from Nilda's, owner of The Cuttlebug Spot blog.

Today marks the end of our dinner themed challenges.  Of course we have to end it with thank you notes that can be sent to your dinner host. I hope you enjoy all your dinner events during the upcoming holidays. Here in the USA we will be celebrating Thanksgiving next week so The Cuttlebug Spot will be on vacation for the next two weeks to allow our design team some well deserved time with their loved ones.  Now please help me welcome our new blog sponsor.

This week we are so very proud to introduce you to  Letraset as one of our new sponsors.  They have kindly offered PromMarker Rubber Stamping sets 1 and 2 as a prize this week.  Imagine the fun you will have coloring all those stamped images with these markers.  This week there is no project required to enter our giveaway.  Just follow these rules:

1.
Be a follower of our blog
2.  leave us a comment under this post

Deadline for entries is Sunday November 21st 9:00pm (PST) only one entry per person

Easy right?......... so tell all your friends to enter and best of luck to everyone.

SOOOOOOOOO! what that means it you do not have to make a project to participate in this awesome giveaway but you do have to be a FOLLOWER, ok?

Now, let's move to my take on the challenge.
I already mentioned on a previous post I wanted to continue my theme with almost all the same elements and colors and I was able to do it. This is the last of the scarecrows, I promise, lol.
Thank You card

ETA: after reading your lovely comments about my so very simple and very easy to make flower, I have to add they are three flowers here, almost on top of each other, but three flowers: burgundy, purple and the one with the same patterned paper I used throughout the mini series. ;)
The Cuttlebug embossing folder used is the "Thank You" one, of course :)

The flowers and the leaves that the scarecrow is holding were cut using Cuttlebug dies too, WOW!
I went all the way here my friends, lol.

I had fun doing this small series and I hope you had fun looking at them too.
I am going to be honest on one thing: I personally believe the placemat was the ugliest one from the whole bunch of projects yet, lmbo. Be honest, you got to admit it too....wink-wink.

Now, just for pleasure.........

Thanks for stopping by and I love you all.

See you tomorrow!

JINGLE BELL-JINGLE BELL

Hello crafters friends, followers and visitors.
My name is Agnes and you know me as flowerdisco from

Come and visit anytime. I am always making "this n' that" but mostly cards I like to share with you since nobody else here at home cares, lol.

I am one of Pam's Gyptian's designer and today is my turn to share a project with you.

I am in the "easy tag making stage" right now, :)
We all know the holidays are very close and WE, the ones that procrastinate a lot, HEHEHE, don't have a lot of time to be making very detailed cards/projects these days. At least not me, ;)

BUT, In my efforts to be ahead of the game this year, I decided to start making my holiday tags for some special friends and family. I am also thinking to make two small garlands from this cut and use them for the two doorways that lead to my kitchen and dining room.
I used the Christmas Noel Solutions cartridge for this project and I believe this cartridge is retired but I am not 100% sure of it.

I introduce to you  now my beautiful

Jingle Bells Tag
cut at 3.5 inches high
This cut is number 12 in the cartridge.
You can click on the photo for a bigger view.

I used all the features, including shadows, blackouts, shift and non-shift ones but only two different papers.

The red patterned designer paper is from My Mind's Eye and its thickness is more like cardstock and it already has all the bling you need for this tag.

The cardstock I used for the blackout and shadow features is a thicker cardstock from the Martha Stewart brand I bought a while ago on sale.

I inked both sides: front and back.

I used foam tape on most of the layers for the dimensional effect I always try to incorporate in my projects.

The button is a vintage button I inherited.

As you can see, it was a really fun cut that became in a pretty and easy tag, and it will beautifully compliment some of those special gifts for some special family and friends.
I made another tag for my Thanksgiving hostess and you can see it here. I hope you enjoyed them both and maybe they help you with your handmade holiday projects.

Happy Thanksgiving to all and I do not know if I will be back here at Pam aka The Bug Bytes before next year so I wish you a very Happy and Merry Christmas!!! too.
Love you and my best wishes to you all.

Thanks Pami for having me over once more. I sincerely appreciate your kindness.

NOTE: No Gypsy screen photos since all I did was cut and nothing really fancy. I know you will be glad I did not add more photos to this post, lol.

CELEBRATE
11/24/2010
AN 8x8 LAYOUT

Isn't beautiful?
You know I do not make too many layouts ;)
On another note I have to say this: It is always hard for me to stick to a sketch. I know I did not have too but I wanted to follow the sketch as much as I could. This part is always a challenge for me. I tend to change things around, :) BUT, you can see I really tried and pretty much followed the sketch, yay!

Three buttons above

 New butterfly location from sketch

Added a little cupcake for the Celebration attached with an
Action Wobble.
(click on the link to learn more about them)

Aren't they fun! I am in love with them.
They will be a MUST HAVE in my stash of have to have supplies. That is for sure :)
 The Lace.

 The embossing and the inking
(I painted the centers of the lace flowers and I used ink to doodle the faux stitches:
double duty here, lol)
Here you can see the whole completed project again with everything I needed to pick-up/add from the blog hop to make the recipe challenge a success.
 Nilda at http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/

will be randomly selecting a winner for some giveaway, YAY!!!
AND...please,...have fun hopping and getting some new ideas from these blogs above and don't forget to let me know what you think of my layout........

This was a very nice project to work with.

Thanks to Nilda for giving me the opportunity to participate in this blog hop.

and Thanks to you for stopping by, for your support and for your love.

Hugs!

DAILY LIFE UPDATE

My MRI's came back good. My brain aneurysm has not moved or grown.
PRAISE THE LORD
I couldn't see the doctor because he was called for an emergency surgery of a burst aneurysm. I did not want to wait but I saw the nurse practitioner and she doesn't think the Blindness is coming from it . His assistants were going to have a consultation about my case and they will call me next week. I might have to see another neurologist.
Thanks for your prayers.
I leave you with a not so good picture of my son conducting the band last Friday during senior night.

Love!

CRICUT CIRCLE BLOG WEEKLY CHALLENGE

Hello my friends!

Thanks for your kind thoughts and for keeping me in your prayers.
I sincerely appreciate it. I will see my neuro-surgeon this Friday for the results. I will let you know.

***

I made today this card for the weekly challenge at the Cricut Circle Blog. These were the requirements:
"Weekly Challenge #6: Feathered Friends Challenge...
The birds are flying south for the winter and we’re heading inside to “feather” our own nests in preparation for the cooler months ahead. This challenge is in honor of the birds! Create a project of your choice using a minimum of 2 different Cricut Cuts. Your project must also include a bird of some kind and stitching (machine stitching, hand stitching, or both)."
This is my card
The pine tree is from Camp Out cut at 4.5 inches tall.

The birds are from A Child's Year. The star from a mini punch I have in my supplies.

The tags/mats are also from A Child's Year and the sentiment from the Christmas Solutions cartridge.

I used my black ink cri-kits to write the sentiment. I then filled the inside with my silver glitter pen. The stitching was done with a paper piercer first and then faux stitched with a red pen.

This is the inside.

The designer patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye, the blue from one of the tags is from Martha Stewart and the red one from American Crafts.

It was very easy to make, perfect for an assembly line and to get your Christmas cards in a blink ;)
(wink-wink)

I have a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT to make about the Action Wobbles we were working with. Yes, the same ones some of you guys will receive samples of :)......... but we can't tell much yet. Stay TUNED! because we are going to have lots of fun.

Love you All!

A THANKSGIVING TAG

Mid November already,

What can I say but Happy Thanksgiving to you all
There are so much we have to be grateful for, not just on thanksgiving but everyday you are alive and have a roof over your head and bread on your table and no terminal illnesses around.
Yes, everyday I get up and I say
"Thank You God for another day in our lives here on earth",
actually, Lulu and I say it every morning before we get off the bed. I am so blessed I have no words that can explain the joy in me.

Anyhow,

another term here at my dear Sassy Lady has come and since time is getting very valuable for all of us, after Thanksgiving we have Black Friday and then Christmas, I needed a project that would be easy and fast to make.

Let's count together.......

One, Two and Three
and I made a

Thanksgiving Tag
5 inches high
Psss!  don't believe me, it did not take me a second to make, lol.

I will be using this tag for my hostess gift.
The tag I found in the A Child's Year cartridge (first one showing up in my Gypsy, lol) and you will find it too on page #11. I used another tag for the sentiment also from the A Child's Year from page #9 and cut it at 1.35"H and 2.73"W.

I embossed the tag with a cuttlebug folder named Textile and distressed the tag edges.

I used my Cri-Kits to write Happy Thanksgiving inside my smaller tag using Lyrical Letters. I then used my Sharpie markers to fill in the letters and I used my glitter pen for some bling on it.

The cardstock is from Debbie Mumm 2008 Harvest and Holiday collection.
The gorgeous button is a vintage button that belonged to my 80 something years old neighbor who RIP with the lord and I got to inherit a lot of buttons.

I hope you enjoyed your short visit today at Sassy's.

Love you All!

Note:
The "s" in Thanksgiving is my handwriting cause I forgot the s when on the Gypsy. I bet you couldn't tell, lol.

A THANKSGIVING PLACEMAT

Hello my friends
Today is Tuesday and that means another cuttlebug challenge at
Here is the challenge for this week:
as posted by Nilda

At the dinner table

"Good morning. Well last week we invited you to dinner, so this week we will sit at the table. We have some great project from the Design Team for  place settings, napkin holders, and center pieces that  have been given that special touch with embossing.  I'm sure you will find something to use at your table.  Share your ideas with us and enter to win  a gift certificate to The Craft Barn."
***

My take for the challenge was a placemat and a napkin holder.
I had many ideas for this placemat but due to my worries about my test I couldn't bring them to the table ;) in a better setting. I could.'t even get the purple on the placemat purple but it kept coming out blue. So when I came back home from the tests, I decided give it another shot at the photos and on these ones at least you can see purple a bit more. hehehe

My Thanksgiving Placemat
I used the same scarecrow from the invites, the same punched leaves and the same patterned paper I used for the prior project. I wanted the placemat be an extension of my invites.

If you click on the photo you get a bigger view and can see I embossed the leaves with my TEXTILE cuttlebug folder I am in love with.

These leaves and the napkin holder were embossed as well.

 I hope you enjoy it!

It is much decent in real life, lol

On another note, I have to see my neurosurgeon on friday and I am hoping by then he has the results of my brain MRI's.
You see? they discovered I have a brain aneurysm like 8-10 years ago and now I am having blindness episodes for about two years now. I check my aneurysm every two years because it has not moved or grown as of 2008 and these blindness episodes are not from my eyes or my heart. I had already an ultrasound on my neck to make sure they were not blockages despite the fact that my arteries and veins are very open. When I had my open heart surgery three years ago it was because my mitral valve was regurgitating and needed to be repaired or replaced and, Thank to God they were able to repair it and to this day it continues to function well.
Anyhow, I always get a bit scared about the tests and I have been a bit of a mess, lol. I was in that MRI tunnel yesterday for over an hour,   :( but,  NO PITY please,.......I AM ALIVE AND SO FAR NO TERMINAL ILLNESSES, but thank you for reading because I needed to vent. :)
Now, have fun submitting your project to
for a chance to win a gift certificate to get some goodies.

See you tomorrow!

and we have a winner for the Dia de los Muertos, yay!!!
Congratulations to
"scrappingfrog"

I have another pendant to give away, so stay tuned :)

Love you all
