My name is Agnes for those of you who are new visiting and I love to making cards and home decor projects. I do to scrapbook but not as much as I make cards. I am married and we have a --soon to be-- 18 years old young man, who we are very proud of. We also have Lulu, our pug fur baby girl.
I am so very delighted to be here and be able to use a hobby to help others in whatever I can.

This Cricut cartridge is my donation for the hop.

----------

This is the card I  made for tonight's hop. I want to say Thank You to all of you who come and support me and to the new bloggers/crafters who will be stopping by tonight.

Thank You card
 4 x 7 inch
The base was made with Birthday Bash and adjusted on the Gypsy to make it a 4 x 7".

The top heart was popped up. The mini dots are done with fabric paint.

The Thank You sentiment is from My Pink Stamper clear stamps sets.

I think the sentiment font matches my card beautifully.

A CHRISTMAS TREE

  Hello

It's me again...I am on a roll here friends.
Another Peachy Keen Stamps challenge. As you might know, most of these challenges are picked randomly so it is a matter of luck :) But, in the meantime, I keep making these "no-name gifts"...meaning they are ready for whoever comes to visit me ;p

This is the challenge: copied and pasted from here.
THE CHALLENGE
Using a lunch sack or a paper grocery bag, create a winter-inspired project. Some ideas can be a set of ornaments (staple two pieces of the lunch sack together), stamp the paper bag & use as wrapping paper, a holiday gift bag (paint both sides of the bag with gesso first if painting it), spray with archival mist to use as an element in a scrapbook page, crinkle and use distress ink to create an aged element, use the brown bag to wrap a frame or pail, or make a craft that a child could help you create (puppets)! The sky's the limit, and the more creative, the better!
  • Design must be new
  • Project must include Peachy Keen Faces
  • Link to Mr. Linky before December 16th

 A CHRISTMAS TREE
 Standard Size Lunch Bag
and in case you want to know where I got the idea...I got it from

and, if you are interested in the steps to make this cutie, you are lucky because
I felt like taking lots of pics today :P

I do not know what I am making to put inside but for now I have the Xyron X in order to take the pics, lol

OK, see you later.
Stay put and play nice.
Love you all!

*****

Onto my project now...

 A SAD LOVE NOTE
using Teddy Bear 2 Sizzix die
card measures 5x5
the colors are so different in real life. i couldn't get a good pic yesterday even if my life depend it on it, lol
so sorry because the colors are vibrant and beautiful.

I used a Peachy Keen stamp for the face called:
Too Much Fun Faces
PK-525

I had most of the cuts in this tote I keep with little things I made that did no work at the moment and, that I know/think  I can use for another project. ;p
frugality...aha!
Example of this: the embossed background is from a project I did for MPS,
the leaves are from a cut that was too long for a card and I had to cut some off. The butterfly, the phrase and the sun were  also in this tote already.

The small flowers and the heart I just punched out. I handmade the little yellow note, isn't cute? The grass was cut with deco scissors, the puffy brown stuff on the belly and hair were made with the puffy fabric paint I have in my stash.

You can appreciate the dimension better on this shot.

The inside of the card.

well, this is it for today and no!!!...I do not know what the note read, lol.  All I know is that it had to be heartbreaking news to make her cry inconsolable. ;p

and....
perhaps you want me to remind you that on  Friday the 17 we will have
THE LIME LIGHT BLOG HOP.
You will have to go there first and YES! there are a lot of prizes. The already have some sneak peaks of them in their blog. CLICK HERE to go and see and......
SPREAD the voice/post... hehe

THE LIME LIGHT BLOG HOP

JUST BECAUSE I DON'T WANT YOU TO FORGET
_*

BLOG HOP
DEC 17
8PM CST

As you can see by the title, the Lime Light Charitable Design Team, of which I am a DT member is having a blog hop this Friday at 8PM.  We want you to get to know us and what we do as a team, so we are having a blog hop so that you can visit the various team members' sites.  We also have a couple of the top Cricut bloggers on the net -- Everyday Cricut and Pink Cricut, that will be stops along the way.

The team came together a few years ago because of our love of Cricut, and we wanted to give you a couple of bonus's as these sites are top notch when it comes to Cricut creative inspiration.

At 8 PM CST on Friday, we'll  be posting the instructions on how you get from blog to blog and what you need to do when you get to each blog (COME TO THE LIME LIGHT BLOG FIRST FOR INSTRUCTIONS).  All simple stuff.
Now, here's the fun part. We'll be giving away some very nifty prizes, including a grand prize stash worth over $150. And because I can't wait, I'm giving you a peek at the prizes. So sit down, take a look at the goodies, and then join us Friday at 8 CST for a fun time!

NO EXCUSES ALLOWED!
wink-wink

Love you All!

WELCOMING 2011

Hello my friends
*-*

The season is getting busier and busier and hardly anytime to craft.
I had to make this project work for two blogs for lack of time. But, this is good in its own way.
Nilda from The Cuttlebug Spot and Sassy from She's a Sassy Lady will have to share the stage today...wink-wink

Because one of my RESOLUTIONS for the New Year is trying to be more FRUGAL...hehe  I am going to start re-purposing what ever I can just because.

The above frame I bought it 5-6 years ago at the Dollar Store. I bought a green one and a blue one. They measure 5 x 5, kind of a shadow box with a plastic flower inside, but like most things from the dollar store, the glue came apart on this one. I took them both down when my husband re-did the half bath in the fr. I never got rid of the frames because I really liked them and thought to fix it but never did :0 until yesterday morning when I had to make a project for Nildas Cutllebug Spot and Sheila's at Sassy Lady. ha! talk about last minute.... hehehe

Happy 2011
it will be a gift with a name already :)
Did you realized that the first date next year will be
1-11-11
:p
I did not use the glass part but the frame only.

The cardstock used for the whole project is DCWV embossed with the cuttlebug using a Tim Holtz embossing folder called Patchwork. I am loving these Holtz' folders. They are really neat and the embossing comes out perfect.

The "happy 2011" were cut using A Child Year's font
and the embellishments are from a K&Co chipboard set.

The alpha's are metal brads from J's brand. I purchased them what it seems years and years ago, lol. I cut off the prongs and adhered them with my glue gun. They spell the last name of the recipient.

This is the side view.

I hope you enjoy it!
It is so very cute.

I am not sure if Nilda has a sponsor for this week or not (we are not told all the details) but even if she just has the challenge, hop over and play along and enjoy the work of my colleagues. I bet they are awesome as always.

Please, do not forget the Blog Hop for The Lime Light
this Friday December 17. Please, try your best to hop along. I know there will be lots of prizes and myself is finally giving away the Cricut Cartridge I mention a few months ago. I guessed I was waiting for the right time and that time has come.

Love you all!
and keep sane during the holidays, lol.

COOKIE MIX JAR

PLAYING ALONG AGAIN...

this time I am entering this no-name gift to the
Challenge #39 Gifts Galore:
Create a handmade gift or gift package.

I used the From the Kitchen Cricut cart to cut the word with its features and Winter Woodland for the poinsettias.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chippers Mix in a Jar
      (Copied and pasted from HERE)

      3/4 cup chopped salted peanuts
      3/4 cup packed brown sugar
      3/4 cup granulated sugar
      3/4 cup semi/sweet chocolate chips
      1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
      1 teaspoon baking soda
      1/4 teaspoon salt

Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a separate bowl.

Layer the ingredients in a one-quart wide-mouth jar in the order given; pressing each layer firmly in place before adding the next ingredient

Attach the following gift tag to the jar:
      Peanut Butter Chocolate Chippers:

Empty cookie mix into a large mixing bowl and stir to combine. Add 1/2 cup softened butter or margarine, 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter, 1 beaten egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix until completely blended. Shape dough into balls and place 2 inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 13 minutes or until edges are slightly brown. Cool 5 minutes on cookie sheet and remove to wire rack to cool completely.

      Makes 3 dozen cookies.

      ENJOY!

      A HOLIDAY CARD

        WOOHOOOOOOOOO!

Nilda from The Cuttlebug Spot asked us to stay 3 more months designing for her blog. We all said yes, of course! It has been so much fun working with this design team. All are so friendly and loving.

This time we were asked to make a:
Christmas card using your favorite embossing technique such as sanding, inking, etc.
Just right down my alley, hohoho

      A Holiday Card
      4 by 5.5"
(remember to click on the image for a bigger view)
The base of the card is American Crafts textured cardstock: distressed and inked.

The green cardstock is from Core-dinations and it has been embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder, distressed and also inked to the max, hohoho! ;)
The reindeer is a chipboard accent from K&CO.

The lace ribbon it is a remnant of what I used last year to make this Holiday Wreath.

      A view from the side.

and this is the inside....a bit distressed.

Don't forget to stop at THE CUTTLEBUG SPOT and enter you project for a chance
      to win
      CANDY-CANDY-CANDY.
Custom Crops are sponsoring the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and for the love left for me
      Ho-Ho-Ho

This is what Minta told me:
"I didn't have any carts with jingle bells on them so I cut out a circle and a bow at 5" from Christmas Cheer. and made my little x on the bottom by drawing it..hopefully if looks like a jingle bell then I used some ribbon that I got at (Michaels) to make it a ornament".
      Isn't wonderful....a handcut one!
      Kuddos to Minta!
      **********

      CRYSTAL
