JINGER ADAMS DESIGN TEAM CALL... and what i have been up to

you all know that misses jinger adams (spokesperson for provo craft and the "we all want to be like her" kind of gal, lol) has a new blog, and is looking for a design team
you all know by now, i was the first one applying, hehe. i always loved jinger's work, even when i was not a scrapbooker of sorts, hehe, since i  mostly make cards and play with paper but, i wanted to show you the "why".
i have been collecting these since i first found jinger's work. i believe she used to have a company named "just jinger"
any how, here is what i have from her old days as a entrepreneur....would that be the right word to describe her beginners in the industry?
I do not know but i do know i love her work, her style and she is just beautiful--inside and out.
and i am not trying to earn any browny points here, hehe,
but to let you know why i had to apply for her new design team.
wish me well, but be aware that negative thoughts will be discarded, lol
i have here 4 file folder cards and,
 three photo albums.

*****************
the "design team call" ends on march 31st and you still have plenty of time to add your project.
click HERE, if you haven't been there yet. or,
to go to "the scrapboking queen blog" who is taking care of business for misses jinger adams.
*****************

and on the other side of my business...hehe,
the "what i have been up to" is below
hehe..that is my living room packed with all i had in the attic. we had some insulation work done up there and had to empty its content. now, this will be my job for many long days, since i want to get rid of tons of stuff i can't be hoarding any longer, lol. oh, and i have some more in the garage and in the shed. this is going to kill me with pain but someone has to do it and guess who that is--ME :(
"maybe i should have an online attic sale"

take care now and thanks for stopping by my humble blog.

FILE FOLDER using graphically speaking

for a challenge at
The Scrapbooking Queen
---Wobble Wednesday's---
 using an action wobble

Off the Record
11.30" by 9.5"
file folder
the hand image you will find it on page 65 of the handbook; image #38 using the icon feature of the overlay or when using the gypsy. we are talking about graphically speaking- a cricut cartridge.

the "off the record" you will find on page 59 of the handbook; image #32 on the overlay using the phrase feature.

the file folder is also from page 59, and image #32 using the icon feature this time.
---i used american crafts as the base for my folder. k&co and me and my big ideas for the patterned papers.---

the tickets are from my mind's eyes "savy never enough" collection.

the ephemera embellishments are also from k&co
and the mini paper clips, from tim holtz.
if you can see the border made of stamps and envelopes: also from k&co.
the stamped phrase "dreamer" below the  "the" is from a g-studio clear stamp.

below you will see the action wobble that was required for this challenge

i distressed everything with a one blade razor, pretty cool tip from me...hehe....i could not find my timmy's distresser, lol. so i improvised. loved how it worked too. wink!!!
and again, this is my finished project: front and back and,
a few more embellishments are explained as well.
the twine was distressed with inks, the tab is from graceful sisters, and i believe is from mme too. it was stamped with some 7 gypsies stamps and that epoxy stop sign is as old as i can remember: maybe from a dollar/clearance spot at a craft store....see why you should never get rid of you toys, lol.
i hid the twine on the back for now, but i might show it after all.
 i haven't decided yet.

thanks for stopping by
and remember,
this project is for a challenge at
The Scrapbooking Queen--- "Wobble Wednesday's".
you can join in too.

EPHEMERA POUCHES---with graphic 45 and knco patterned papers

i forgot i had bought this boardwalk patterned paper from graphic 45, lol. i found it hid it
in the pile of 8 x8"s. lol.
i wanted to make some st. patrick's day treat pouches but somehow ended up like this.
WARNING: photo heavy

Ephemera Treat/Favor Pouches
2.75 by 4.25
2.75 by 4.50
2.75 by 5.25
all started with empty paper towel rolls.

the images are from graphic 45---on the boardwalk
the patterned paper is from k&co---portabello road
--some of the embellishments like the star, happy days, measure twice..., old stamp have been with me for a long while.
the measuring tape is a border from k&co too, the staples are from tim holtz so is the ink i used to distress.
some glitter glue from g-studio, wire from my supplies and the adhesive you use is very important. you need something like red tape or the scor tape i used on these.
i also stitched the bottom of the pouches using a decorative stitch.

oh!... and i used the all night media liquid embossing on the star and the  measure twice embellishment and..... i made the accordion flower 3/4 of an inch and it gave me a bit of hard time...grr! :P and..that tape you see is from my first aid kit---i distressed it very well if you ask me, hehe

i think i like them a lot.

LOVE WELLIES...using "freshly picked" and "paper doll dress up"

i was watching two peas in a bucket you tube video: personal shopper and maya road came out with a chipboard album in a shape of rain boots.
it was the inspiration for my card.
and....i do too have a pair of wellies for my yard work. :)
Love Wellies
4 x 9.5
this is a tall card
i used freshly picked for the rain boots, wellies word and the umbrella is from pddu.
the heart and umbrella base were stamped with g-studio clear stamps.
a few more pics...
the clouds were made using a fiskars paper punch and the wet embossing is from all night media.

the boots patterned paper is from my mind's eye: fine and dandy
the yellow and the blue backgorund ones are from my stash, and at the time, i did not keep brands, sorry :(
see the rain drops??? made from the liquid embossing.
so cool!
the maya road mini album could be easily replicated with these boots from "freshly picked", if you want to, that is.
well, this is my inspiration for you today.
hope it does the job!
hehe
-love u all-

A SHAMROCK--an oldie that still going good

i wanted to share this hanging i made last year for my front door.
my house faces west and i get the afternoon sun and this shamrock survived last year and is up this year again.  i do not remember what adhesive i used but it does holds its worthiness in gold. the rhinestones are fom dollar packs and all but one was good as new too.
yay!!!
below is the post from last year in case you want to make one.

---------

What do you think?
I absolutely love it.

I used the shamrock from the Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge and cut the base on chipboard at 11.25"
Then I cut a MS cardstock the same size to have a sturdier base.
The second layer was cut at 10.25"
and the third was cut at 9.25"
The patterned papers are from MME the Bohemia Collection.
The font is from Ashlyn's Alphabet Cricut Cartridge at 2.5" with a shadow. The upper layer was embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and everything was inked and 2 shamrocks were popped-up.
The ribbon is a wired ribbon I purchased at Walmart.
I hung it on my front door.
Enjoy! Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

HANDMADE---super easy to make pet collar/necklace

every month a make for miss lulu an accent pet collar, beaded necklace or a flower.

all i used here was a piece of ribbon-----measure your pet's neck and add a few more inches for the knot and because you do not want to strangle your pet, lol, but you do not want it too loose it can get stuck on things----
disclaimer: use your common sense and of course i am not responsible for any damage to your ribbons, flowers and/or pet-:-)

i have these prima old flowers i normally use on her necklaces and i attach them with a craft glue dot. on this case i even added a brad after cutting the prongs, i do not want miss lulu to get a sore if the brad rubs against her skin--;p and voila! you have make a trendy collar/necklace for your pet.

miss lulu loves them, she loves to be stylish--hehe

i just wanted to share this with you all. :P
