A PUMPKIN SPICE BLOG CHALLENGE...using a gable box

where we are challenged to use any

Spring Animals or Insects
 (Use your Imagination)
who can resist sweet spring animals and insects.. even bees and caterpillars are cute, right?!

cool challenge this one!

Sweet Friend
bee gable box
the bee will be my insect for this challenge
the bee  is from a cricut cartridge and i used regular cardstock to make it. BUT, i stamped the body and wings for that blotchy look and inked all the edges. i cut her to fit my box at 2.50 inches tall.

a bit closer and you can see how cute she is. i used foam dots to raise her from the background.

take note i cut the gable box at 5.5 inches tall but it really comes out to be approximately 3.75 inches tall.
this gable box is from another cricut cartridge. the cartridge gives you the scoring template.

TIP: since i use my gypsy, i put the die cut in one page and the scoring marks on another page making sure they are both at the same coordinates (x and y- on the top right corner of the gypsy screen) and i do the scoring first with the blade upside down.

here are the supplies used in my project:
gable box patterned paper:     cosmo cricket earth love collection
yellow, mustard color and brown cardstock:   recollection
gold cardstock:     dcwv
cricut cartridges:     tags, bags, boxes and more2 (gable box); kate's abc's (bee)
bee hive:     cutlebug die
tag:    sizzix die
sentiment:     whimsical designs clear stamps

STICKLES TEXTURED WASHI TAPE TECHNIQUE

HELLO everyone,
this is agnes aka flowerdisco in this web of crafters and i am so excited someone invited me to share with you a what i sometimes do with my stickles.

i make patterns with my stickles on a piece of tape (paper tape, masking tape, fabric tape) any of these will work. stickles rock! and they adhere to anything i have tried them on, :)

first, a peek of my project!

when i started experimenting this is what i did:
(turquoise, yellow and candy cane stickles were used on these samples)
you can see the first one is paper tape and i found this roll in the floral department, the second tape is just old and plain regular masking tape from the dollar store and the last is the fabric tape i found in the first aid section of a drugstore/department store.
i also textured them:  the first two were textured using a comb and the last one using a pencil eraser top. i also use the stickles bottle tip sometimes, but my fav texture so far is the one i make with the eraser top.
---i like the mountains and valleys look---

check this orange strip
(orange peel stickles)
cool, huh?

-here is a card i made using my fav texture, hope you like it and try it the technique-
(i used the paper tape)
...you can try anything if you ask me...

Sending You SMILES Across the Miles
5" x 7" card
i also added some stickles (snow frost) to the clouds---kind of zig zagged it and i added some tiny dots to to the patterned paper too (on the brown stars-like).

some more dots (a bit bigger) on this hot balloon die cut.
these dots were done with the candy cane stickles.

other details from my card:
the dots are from a rub-on and a pretty sentiment was stamped. the heart is a punched element and was covered with glossy accent. the small round tag it is also another die cut. some sewing machine stitching and some cotton twine finish the details. the colorful papers are from the echo park scoot collection.
--so pretty!

i hope you try it and, again
thank you so much for visiting "all that stickles"
and thank you to ashley for having me as a guest designer today.
( i have linked some supplies to the store i purchased them in case you are interested)

bye now and take care!

we all hope you enjoy it!

our sponsor this week is no other than becci from becci's place and she has been so good as to let us use some of her images this week so we the dt have fun besides letting this week's winner choose her own three digis from the store.
thank you becci, you are so nice. we appreciate you sponsoring this week's challenge.
however, you do not get lucky this week, there is always next week or if you like the digi i am using....
 (sneak peak here)
so much you can't wait, lol,    you can find it here.

anyhow,
the challenge for this week is:
---"CREATE a card or project using the photo below for inspiration"---

hold your horses now,
here is what you have been waiting for:
the project miss flowerdisco spent almost all day coloring, hehe

Petite Paris
Happy
(home decor project)
---remember you can click on the pics for a bigger view---

take a closer look to the beauty of it all

and imagine yourself in paris,

among all these pretty shops, oh my!

i also used the spectrum noirs, and colored pencils for this image. i added some glossy accents for the windows and heart and made the black frame with my cricut fancy frames cartridge.
i had to take a few more pics than normal so could see the project from different angles. i used the easel sizzix die for the back.
nice, huh?--i took me a while because you know my hands are bad, so i worked on this bits by bits. it is a big 5 x7 frame because i printed the digital image big too. but i think it was worth it.

Please, we would love if join us this week in our weekly challenges.

this is becci's shop--our sweet and darling sponsor this week. click on the image to see all the beauties she has in her shop.

and as always,

A PUMPKIN SPICE BLOG PROJECT...using a card kit

hello everyone,
this is agnes
(today i am a sub for tanya at pumpkin spice blog).

i hope you like the card i made

Some People...
7" x 5"
i am in love with these papers. they are from cosmo cricket . i have the kit and there is so much to choose from in it. the heart was die cut with my cricut expression using the dr. check up cartridge. i also did some sewing machine stitching in the center and i also stitched bordered the card.

---a very quick card but with a long lasting impact---
(imho)
the sentiment is very meaningful for someone you care about, to let them know how you feel about them.
i cut it out from one of the border papers that come in the kit.
the small button flowers on the side are from a sizzix die.

i even finished the inside:

i think it looks so soft with a spring feeling in it.

this is the kit i used:
and this is the link for the individual supplies

thanks so much for stopping by and i certainly hope i inspired you today,

take care!

A PUMPKIN SPICE BLOG PROJECT...handmade tag

hello all

flowerdisco here with another fabulous wednesday project to inspire you, or, to help get your mojo going.

(i was planning a short video for today but that was not possible. i am learning the process and for some reason i am having trouble).

anyway, i just received my goodies from the pumpkin spice shop and....i had ordered the scoot 6x6 paper pad from echo park and i quickly made a cute tag for a boy but you can use these papers for anything you want, not just boys. i combined it with some other elements from the store.

For You
3.5" tall
this tag was easy and so simple to make.

the striped background paper, the red border, the blue circle are all from the scoot paper pad.

i love the bright and sunny colors of this collection and since our  weekly challenge is "rainbow" and,  i think i am entering this cutie.

the jute i used is this one, the banner tag came from here, (on sale right now for a dollar) the sentiment is from my pink stamper: yummylicious retired stamp set and, the main element is from here: a lime twist sticker from my mind's eye.

i used a paper punch for the "You Win" (from one of the scoot papers) and hand cut the tiny banner from the same paper.

here are all the supplies i used:
and

i love this jute and is just 69 cents for over 9 yards---a bargain!

well, my dear..i have to go now. i hope i made your stop worthy enough. :D

remember the challenge this week is "rainbow" and you can link up here,
you will have until midnight friday pacific time.

thanks so much for taking the time,

take care,
agnes

PLAYING ALONG WITH CHALLENGES... a happy easter lamb

hello bloggers,
this lamb digital image is a free digi from shelly's images. shelly was our whimsical designs sponsor a few weeks back. i used this bear on that project.

anyway, shelly has this lamb as a freebie for you to use in this challenge. below is some info..but you must go to her site to get the complete guidelines, i would hate to mislead you in any way. please,

and now, without any further delay...
my take for this challenge, using the pretty lamb shelly let us have for free.

Happy Easter
4.25" tall
i used the shall we dance cricut cartridge for the card shape: medallion 1 feature and image #50 on the overlay. the papers are from pink paislee: spring jubilee.

using the spectrum markers i colored the sweet lamb and its flower garland, i then cut it out (as best as i could since i did not do any fuzzy cutting, my hands were not feeling too good) and mounted it in the front of my card.
the so pretty banner is a stamp from 7 gypsies and the happy easter is from the g studios dollar stamps.
i am so happy how this turned out. i love the eyes on this lamb. they look so real.

this is the link to shelly's images blog in case you decide to participate

SKETCHY FRIDAY CHALLENGE:...using flower bud

HELLO
an another friday has come and it is my turn to invite you to join in the fun.

we have sketch #11 for today. you should know you there is no need of using a SK Digi to participate. any other digi image you already have is ok to use. however, there is a freebie section in the shop that you can use. i would recommend you do the later. they are free, why not use them, right?

i love sonia's sketches so much and with this one i made a long and tall card. i told you i was going to make bigger cards, for a while at least. i have too much paper i need to use. :D

Wishing You a Beautiful Day
trifold card
3.75" x 8.5"
oh my! look how pretty and look who is getting better at coloring with the spectrums, :-P
i am learning how to shade since i was having trouble with it. i changed the cardstock i was using and tried coloring with a georgia pacific one and....much better.
---can click on the photos to zoom in---

this is our beautiful sketch for this week.

i love the papers i used too...so romantic  and  soft  and   yummy.

a look from atop to see the tri-fold.

and this is my beautiful card in all its glory--- wink!
the main element on my card and it is another new release from the sk digi shop. it is called flower bud, so cute!----- sonia is rocking these babies, yay!---and again, i fuzzy cut it all, including the flourishes.
the sentiment is also from sk digis. aren't those fonts georgeous? i think they are.

the birdies and the banner are stickers and the banner where i stamped my sentiment, was hand cut. the left border was done with an older fiskars punch that it embosses as it borders. hard to see for you but it looks really nice...the yellow enamel dots and the patterned paper are both from my mind's eye.
i found the base for my card in my forgotten supplies. i bought a box of it at a local surplus store (a while-while ago) and it is what inspired my tall tri-fold card.----don't you love it when you find forgotten goodies?--oh, i do. :)

i hope you get on our sketchy friday wagon and have fun coloring, then go back to sketchy friday and link your project for a chance to win some nice candy. we would love to see what you make.

A PUMPKIN SPICE BLOG CHALLENGE: time (word or element that implies time)

i am a bit late making my project for this week's challenge at the pumpkin spice blog (it is not mandatory but i like to participate---soon i will post a video from the goodies i won this past february, yay!)

i received this paper pad from the shop. it is from simple stories and is called "snap life" and look what i made. this is just a photo printed on plain copy paper for now, but this project life is a good thing. who know? i might leave it like it is because i like the grainy look on it.

Where did the time go?
3" x 4"
---project life style---
this is a photo of my son when younger. he used to love to go to a place called "chucky cheese" and we would go every weekend for him to play.

the clock is "from the record 2" by echo park. the little chipboard heart is from crate paper (fourteen collection)  and the washi tape is from darice.. i printed the "where did the time go" right on the photo and outlined the clock with a marvy marker.

and this is my sweet project for today showing my sweet and handsome baby who is now 20 years old.
where did the time go?
*-*'
the good news is you still have time to participate and enter a new project for this challenge. i promise you after you see my video with my winnings from these challenges, you won't want to miss a week. wink-wink

thank you for stopping by
and make a note that you are seeing my first scrapbooking project life style project...hooray for me!
i hope i continue. :D

now, for the winner of  last week's sps hop:

snappy scrappy (lee-ann)
i did the picking myself this time because lee ann is always checking out my work and leaving me comments and i want to show her i appreciate it.
thanks lee- ann, contact me if i do not contact you first. i need your addy.
congrats to lee-ann!

SAINT PATRICK'S DAY CARD...using digital images

welcome to another

"Happy St. Patrick's day"

and of course, we are to create a project including something to do with this so popular irish holiday.

first, i want to thank our sponsor for this week's challenge
"MIRIAM'S CRAFTING SUPPLIES"
miriam will be donating TEN sets of pearls to a lucky participant
-----NOT ONE, NOT TWO BUT TEN SETS OF PEARLS--wohoo!---

thanks miriam, thank you so much for your kindness!!!

now, is my take on this week's challenge...this card was such a pleasure to make.
i was inspired by a layout i saw online and being me, i had to twist it to my liking and purposes and, make it a flowerdisco's one, hehe

Be Unique, Be Unforgettable, Be you
You are a Super Star
5" x 7"
i played with a variety of techniques on this card: stamped background, machine stitches, washi tape, mixed inks for "Be Unique, Be Unforgettable, Be you"...a whimsical designs stamps sentiment. and since we do not see the mix of inks often, to me it shows well the meaning of the sentiment i chose.
note: one of the "be" is missing on the pennant sentiment...i know. i had to leave it behind in the stamping  process.

i added a few more cute details to this card to add even more fun. check them out below.
the tiny circles are representing the gold from the legendary irish legend. they are the negatives of a border punch.
i also had fun choosing the brilliant colors. they remind me of the rainbow colors.

the washi tape on the top left and bottom corners, were plain ones but after being stamped with a yellow dye ink, they are not plain anymore :--)...i also added some chevron lines and i had to add a star sticker because "You are a Super Star" (my other used sentiment from whimsical designs).
i used foam dots to raise the diamond patterned paper from its base.

and at last, i show you the entire card.
the piggy with the so pretty clover is a new digital image in my collection. i used paint, a computer program, to add buckets of color to the most pretty hog girl in the whole-wide world.
the purple stamp shaped frame is from a die i own.

so what do you think?
---i think is super cute and it was definitely a delight to make---

why don't you leave me a comment for a chance to win a goodie bag?..
i would love if you become a follower but i do not require it at this time.

this was so much fun  a st. patrick's day challenge and remember, miriam --- our sponsor for this week---, is giving away ten sets of pearls. you can use them in any of your project and maybe even share some with your darling friends.
you will also get some HUGE inspiration, since my team mates are a group of very talented ladies.

Supplies Used
sentiments:     clear stamps (be unforgetable....you are a super...)
solid cardstock:     cardstock warehouse I got this at ross' a while back)
background stamp:     fiskars
patterned paper:     my mind's eye
digital image:     sk digis
chevron stripes, golden dots:     ek paper punches
machine stitches and thread:     singer sewing machine and gutterman thread
washi tape:     darice (washi tape was stamped with a dye ink)
purple frame die cut:     sizzix

if you have any questions about my projects, please contact me or leave a comment with your question. i will get back to you asap.

THOUGHT YOU MIGHT NEED A PICK ME UP

recently, we lost a great friend of the family, he was like a brother to my son.
he will be forever our hearts.     i made this card for his family.

Thought You Might Need a Pick Me Up
9.50" x 3.75"
fits in a # 10 envelope
i decided to play a bit with some of the huge stamps collection i have but for the sentiment i just couldn't use any other but this one:
"thought you might need a pick me up"

this is the entire card and you already know is a long one. i always forget to make any size bigger than the standard a2. i am changing that path with this card. i have so much paper it won't make a dent in my stash, lol, to the opposite, it will help me a great deal.

the bike is a chipboard element i got with my sps stickers order. i thought the bike was a nice change from the regular pick up truck.
i stamped the arrows (so popular now and a trend i like) and the stitches. the little blue flower on one of the pennants (which i cut by hand) is from  a fancy pants  stickers set i had in my stash.
the gorgeous patterned paper is from k&co.

i think my card will really give this family a real "pick me up" in this time of sorrow.

---i also decorated and stamped the inside of the card---

Supplies Used
(in case you want to know)
patterned paper:     k&co (terri conrad "sweet life")
chipboard bike:     crate paper chipboard elements (fourteen collection)
sentiments:     whimsical designs clear stamps (everyday sentiments)
stamps used:     arrows (heidi swapp-memory file); stitches (tim holtz-visual artistry)
ink:     versafine
adhesive:     american carfts tape runner (this to that)
---i really like this tape runner. on this card i used the permanent one---

thanks so much for visiting,
