THE CUTTING CAFE'S BLOG HOP (end of term)

welcome all to a sad but happy blog hop. our term at the cutting cafe has come to an end. we all were invited to stay for another term but i couldn't commit. my household is very hectic in november and december and i just couldn't stay. but i have to give miss regina a huge thank you for giving me the opportunity to be in her team. i have been a fan of her since the beginning of my paper crafting adventures, way back in the days when she had started the original "bitten by the bug" blog. anyway, i believe some of the girls are staying for another term but we still wanted to celebrate how much fun we have/had at the cutting cafe. i personally had a blast, learned new things and techniques, made some new friends...over all a great experience. i remember how excited i was when i was accepted to the team and how nervous i was to mess up because i do not own the digital cutter and my projects were going to be cut by hand. hehe. i think i did pretty good, as i went along i gained more confidence.

now, back to the hop...

generous miss regina has offer to give away to a lucky "blog hopper" (new term in my vocabulary, hehe) the file we are using today for our projects. thanks again miss regina.

HANDMADE WITH LOVE
this is the file i chose for a lucky winner:
JAR SHAPED CARDS
and as all files from the cutting cafe, it is made with love :P

all was cut by hand using the pdf document file included among the svg and wpc.
it also comes with a bundle of sentiments and different images to fill in the jar. i chose the plain jar for my project.
-the top part and hearts were hand-stamped-

the mini hearts were punched out and layered.
the sentiment was printed and i hand cut around it a banner shape.

hope you really like my card and my chosen file because...
all you have to do is leave a comment and i will choose a winner on friday. you have to contact me and i will forward your email to miss regina, owner of the cutting cafe and one of the sweetest ladies out there :) you have 5 days to claim your prize.

thanks again for stopping by and have fun hopping with us
all of us are giving away the file we worked on, the chances of winning different ones is great....good luck!

your next stop will be dear barbara from and if you want to start from the beginning (you won't miss anyone this way).
 here is the line up.

THINKING OF YOU...

hello all,
"thinking of you" is the last card using my sweet august artful delight card kit.
as always it was packed with so many pretty papers, embellishments and a darling stamp set.

i can't wait to have the september one. i bet it will be as fabulous as the rest of them. the ladies who are in charge do a great job putting the kits together. i have love every single one and i have been able to work with different brands i normally do not find locally.

Thinking of You
4.25 x 5.5"
(i haven't make this size of card in a while-:)
for this card i used fancy pants patterned papers and chipboard stars. there is a thin strip of patterned paper that is from crate paper (the 4th one from the top).

the tag is a die cut but it was just a bit short of what i wanted so i added a bit of the same crate paper i used for the thin strip and joined it with the supper pretty washi tape from queen & co. you will see it better in the pic below.
the green banners were stamped using two of the jillibean soup stamps and the "thinking of you" sentiment skinny banner is from pebbles.

on this pic you can see the strip that was added to the bottom of the tag with the washi tape.

i know is a very busy card but all came together so well. i am so happy with the cluster of elements on the tag complimenting the pattern paper with the cameras, the stars and the film strip. we even see a little piece of heaven (first top strip of blue paper)...hehe.

hope you enjoy my card for today.

on another note, if you did not have time to join in our monthly challenge, mark it on your calendar for this coming month of september. the winner receives a kit of their choice: card or scrapbooking.

-thank you so much for stopping by the hut-

A THANK YOU...using a chipboard as the main element

i made this Thank You card for today.
4" x 5"
it is a meaningful card to me because i am saying "good bye" to pumpkin spice today.
it was so much fun!

anyhow,
let me tell you a bit about the supplies i used for my card: the pretty papers are from cosmo cricket, the sweet girl is a chipboard from crate paper and the thank you sticker is from carta bella. i machine stitched a bit and popped the sticker on a foam dot. i love how the colors came together so well despite the fact i am using three different collections. all products come from the pumpkin spice shop. remember shop pumpkin spice has an ebay store. it is down as of today but it will be back after the 26th.

thank you so much for stopping by!
xx

JUST SHARING...

a new scrapbooking online store where i will be helping out to share its birth and spread the  good news, :P

check it out and wish me the best.

(Life is Beautiful)

ENJOY!...with a bit of washi

haha,
a bit of washi tape on the top right corner and above the pretty flower is all this card needed to have my approval, lol
i even sew a double stitch with my sewing machine and at the end..the super cool and trendy film washi tape did the job...in my opinion that it, wink!!!

Enjoy!

using my artful delight super awesome kit.

the base is the most beautiful robin eggs blue from bazzill and the fancy pants memories captured patterned papers give this cool card lots of personality. i am loving the chevron colors and the circles and stars.
the so pretty flower and the chalkboard sticker and the addition of the bit of washi were the perfect embellishments too. i loved making this card too. i love when all comes in together so well without fuzzing much, haha. i wish...this card started in a very different way and after stamping, embossing, stapling... and starting all over again....it turned out to be a whole different story at the end, lol. but then, i do fuzz a lot over everything and it is getting worse as i age, ;p
anyway, if you want to hop over the artful delight blog and join us in our monthly challenge (scrapbooking or cards) you might be the lucky one to win a kit. here is the link to the info you need to participate and link your project.

pretty, pretty card.

once again this is it for today, :p

i hope you have a great week and thank you for stopping by the hut.

DESTINATION UNKNOWN...just let me grab my purse

i couldn't help it with the silly tittle for my cute little purse from the cutting cafe, hehe

(you get 5 different styles of purses in this file)

Destination Unknown
(treat box)
they are all so pretty but i chose this one to work with.

once again, i used the pdf document, super easy to cut by hand. i did all the faux stitching with a white gel pen.
i had the metal tag and heart in my stash and i thought it went perfect with my purse.

 -a side view-

and here you have one of the cutest and prettiest treat box purse you can have, :P

i bet my teammates projects are even better. these ladies are so creative and so talented.

any questions about it, please i will be happy to help you.

btw, the patterned paper is from dcwv and the black solid cs is from recollections (same dcwv brand i believe).

here is all the file info from the shop, if interested.

thank you so much for stopping by the hut, i sure appreciate it.

HALLOWEEN TREAT CONTAINERS

hello all...
just that you know (wink)
i have been doing bits of "this n' that" around the house after been very limited.
my lower back has been giving me a lot of grief for a while now, finally went for an mri that showed a very bad slipped disk and it is the
reason for not posting much lately. i still hurt but better after some steroid injection.
now, i am playing catch up with blogger, etsy and household chores.

in the meantime i wanted to share these small pouches that will hold any small goody for gifts or treats.

they are so very easy to make but a bit of time consuming since i made all from scratch. i did not even used my cricut.

i cut a 5" wide x 3" tall piece of designer paper, folded it in half and opened it again. i used a one inch circle paper punch to cut off a half circle you see on the front top (but you do not have to) to make it easy to access the content, glue the sides with your fav adhesive (i used my adhesive tape runner)
and, there is the base for your treat. i had made the mini tags a while ago so i just proceeded to stamp on them with some of my g-studio clear stamps. i used jute to attach the mini tag and go around the pouch.

(i made them for my etsy shop (hence all the info on them) but if i do not sell them i will use them for the few "trick or treaters" on our street).

hope these mini bags give you some ideas for your own. if you do not celebrate halloween, they are also perfect for any other yummy treats, small gifts and mini trinkets.

i hope you have a great weekend and thank you so much for stopping by.

HALLOWEEN VINTAGE BOOT...using a pdf file

this is so cute and since i won't be around by the cafe when october comes, i did not want to loose the opportunity to make this vintage boot image into a witch's boot for halloween.
hehe

The Witch's Boot
5.75" x 4.75"
this time what i did was i printed out all the parts in plain copy paper. (i normally print it straight on patterned paper). i cut each piece separately (just a rough cut-leaving around 1/2 inch from the outline) and used a dot of glue on that 1/2 inch to secure it safely to the cardstock i used. i then cut all the parts by hand again, hehe and assembled. actually what i made was a template, wink!

i stamped the stars on the green recollections cardstock (love that cs) and embossed the black recollection cs lightly (did not use the cuttlebug for this step but a bone folder) using a darice embossing folder my sweet friend sheena sent me. the embossing name is crackle, hehe.

maybe you can see it here a bit better. i also inked parts of the outline with a silver ink, just another subtle touch, as you can see.

the bow was made with a glitter nylon tulle i got at m's the other day on clearance and i added a light purple rhinestone that i still love, lol.

the green and black buttons were made with punches, glued on and stickled.

 enjoy!

now for all the file info and or to see what my darling teammates made, please click here to go regina's  the cutting cafe shop and or blog.

thanks a bunch for stopping by.

SNAPSHOT...using some chipboard from the artful delight card kit

hello all

these days i am onto making this type of smaller but long card. i think they look so cute and different from the squared ones or a2 size ones.

this one i called
snapshot and i also added a thanks.

if you read the lyrics on the song paper from pebbles: camp song, you will understand why i added the thanks and the snapshot is for the view of life.

i normally have some kind of meaning of what i do and why i do it but i do not write about it. this time i wanted to get your attention to it. it is my way of thinking and is all in my creative process, hehe. we are not all alike and can't pleased anyone but nature is something so beautiful and i thank you our creator and do lift my hands for it and bow my head too and bend knee also. lol.

Thanks for the Snapshot
3" x 5"
there is not all of the song but get the idea what i am talking about.
if you want to read the whole hymn, you can click here (yes, i looked it up, lol)

this is the other side of my card and you can see all the added dimension these pretty chipboard from fancy pants add to my card. (i cut off the top (charm part) of the snapshot in case you are wondering, :P)

the floral paper is also from pebbles and is called wildflowers.

and finally the entire card and the awesome size i am loving so much lately.

all my supplies are from the august card kit from artful delight (except the thread and black border which i made using a fiskars punch). they also have scrapbooking kits.

hope you liked the meaning of my card and the beauty within.

as always,
thank you so much for stopping by.

HAPPY HAPPY...stamped background

hello all and welcome to flowerdisco's scrap hut!

my name is agnes and i am here to bring you some inspiration using
"the sweetest thing collection" by my mind's eye. you all know i love making cards and this pretty thing is all that, wink!!!

Happy Happy
5" wide by 4" tall
i am in love with this collection patterned paper: the colors and designs are more than adorable.

i cut my card base using a bazzill cardstock in walnut cream which i stamped using this jars of love x 3 unity red rubber stamp from unity.

i used my cricut to make the rectangle flower window shape, backed the window opening with another patterned paper, and did some machine stitching to keep all cuts together. i added my other love: enamel dots. I also added some chipboard, including the one with the "happy happy" sentiment on top of two hand cut banners i found on the one patterned paper to layered the three cute banners you see . i also found the chipboard medallion and added it to the flower center. i had to ink all edges because i love inking for more definition on my projects. it all came together very easy using this fab (bit older) collection from my mind's eye.

hope i performed well for today's daily sps inspiration, hope i gave you some ideas, some inspiration with my handmade card.
we all thank you for taking the time to visit us. we appreciate you so very much!

SMILE, is a picture perfect card

using the fab card kit for the month of august from

plus a short video (below) showing you the contents of this card kit.

Picture Perfect
4" x 5"
-(all paper and embellishments used on my card are from the kit)-
from the pier collection (crate paper) i used the "poolside" patterned paper and pinwheel. the "picture perfect" flair badge and the decorative bag  are from the "memories captured" collection from fancy pants.

for the beige border (made using a fiskars punch) i used the other side of the "poolside" paper.
the so super cute "film strip" is a washi tape from queen & co and the sentiment is one of the "chalkboard stickers" from pebbles "lake side" collection.
i also added my so loved sewing touch to the card.

this is what i am thinking of when i look at this card:
"a summer vacation"
(the poolside paper reminds me of the ocean, the border reminds me of the sand, the film strip of all the pictures taken at the beach, the pinwheel swirling with the ocean breeze, the bag holding the pretty sea shells and the "smile" sticker is for my big imagination here, lol).

i had a blast making this fun card.

this is a pic of the kit

this is our monthly sketch to participate in our monthly challenge

we would love if you do.

and, here is the short video showing a closer look at the contents of this another awesome kit. artful delight also carries a scrapbooking kit.

MY LITTLE PRINCESS for the cutting cafe

hello all
hope you had a great weekend. we had some wet weather and even got a cool spell overnight.

i made this cute card using a cutting cafe file called
i chose to work with the crown.

My Little Princess
4" x 5"
(i just have one photo today)
as you can see i printed the crown directly on patterned paper and i used a plain white cardstock to print out the sentiment.

i used some sizzix dies for the frame and some carta bella patterned paper for my card.
i cut out the banner by hand, added some rhinestones to the crown because what is a crown without some bling, right? hehe

another fun file from the cuttin cafe...so happy to have worked with regina's files and awesome design team. this is my last month with them and i was asked to stay for another term but the last two months of the year are very hectic in my house and with a big heartache i had to decline the offer.

please, click here to see what my team mates used for this week's assignment. you won't regret it and just for commenting you might win some of these fab files.

this "all about girls" file has so many other images:

"ALL ABOUT GIRLS PRINTABLE STAMP SET

This ALL ABOUT GIRLS printable stamp set features 60 images.
You can purchase this set in black and white or in color.
You can also purchase both the black and white version and colored version at a discounted price.
This set comes in both PDF and JPEG format".

i have to say so long now but i will see you tomorrow with another fun card.

thanks so much for stopping by!

our hop theme is "sunshine" and a reminder that is a challenge too and we have some goodies to giveaway, yay!

You Are the Best
matchbox card
3-7/8" x 4-1/8
my main embellishment is the "sunshine" part of the challenge. to me it looks just like that: a sunshine.

all the patterned papers, main embellishment and enamel dots used are from the
my mind's eye "the sweetest thing" collection.

the stars were punched out with a paper punch and all elements were lightly inked for more definition.

here is the top of the matchbox and i handmade the two mini banners. the "sunshine" is all one layered embellishment from the collection.

the tab was done using a hand tool i have in my stash.
