A HOPE CARD...and tearing some paper

hello all,

this card i made for a friend who is having a bit of a rough time:
i chose this torn paper technique, because this is how she feels right now: torn apart :(

Hope
5.5" x 3.5"
disclaimer: this card is heavy, very heavy.
it has been made with tons of love. :)
the card base is from a pack i bought from gartner studios a while back. these are the standard size of an A2 but i cut some of it off to fit my needs.

all the pretty patterned papers are from 7 dots studio (including the sentiment-hope). i have the 6x6 pad and i love the texture of it and that is perfect for the distressing techniques i am "in" lately :D.

i used a sakura gelly roll pen (clear star) to outline the word hope and give it a subtle shine. i also did some sewing machine stitching.
i like the thick gutterman thread for this kind of stitching. i buy it at j's.

i had ordered these cute stamps from color hills. since i saw that font, i fell in love with it. i had made this project using some patterned paper from that same company and i was enchanted by the font...hehe.
it reminds me of the all mixed up font from one of the cricut cartridges.
so i had to use them here
because behind all the mix up, there is indeed a story to tell. wink!

---old good times (when all was simpler) lol---.

thanks so much for continuing to visit me, :D
i appreciate you.

ALWAYS N' FOREVER....a framed card

hello fellow crafters,
hope you all are doing well.
i am fighting a cold that hubby gave me, grrr!
but before i got sick i had made this cute framed card i will be placing in my family room along with some other goodies i make and like to display.

i am still using the 'love you more' collection from elle's studio. i am in love with the bits and pieces and labels and tags and wanted to play some more.

Always n' Forever
3.75" x 4.75"

the background patterned paper is called 'hugs' from the same love you more collection i have been using.

got enough distressing yet?
hehe
it seems that stitching and distressing are my 'to go' techniques lately :D

-the labels/tags here are from the bits and pieces pack-
and the 'my favorite' yellow one is from the journal tags below

----

i cut a small easel from a tim holtz metal die cut for the back. this way i can display it and if i want to send it to someone i can easily fold the back.

here is the entire card/frame.

hope it inspires you somehow.

the 'love you more' elle's studio collection can be found at nani ke ola's scrapbooking.

thanks for stopping by.

YOU ARE MY ONE AND ONLY....using more love you more

hello again,
i am writing this post the day after an ice storm and despite i said i would get motivated and come out of hibernation...tsk-tsk.... that has not been possible. this is not my type of weather ladies. especially with ice and freezing temperatures.

anyway, here i am sharing another project i made for nani ke ola scrapbooking design team.

i am still using the elle's studio collection 'love you more' since i ordered a few goodies.

today's polaroid style card is called
'you are my one and only'

-here are some pics for your inspiration-
i made it the same size as the polaroid frame and using some american crafts textured cardstock for the base. i used some vellum since i have seen vellum coming back and i like the softness that adds to some papers.

the rest of the supplies are from the same 'love you more' collection.

the colorful hearts background paper is called 'kisses' and is the same one i used for the file folder card/journaling card embellishment (whatever you want to call it-:D) in the previous post.
here i used the pink tag to cover the sentiments written on the frame since it was not appropriate for my card. it is really so much fun to play with these labels and/or tags, it really is.

here is the entire card.
 i hope you like it.

i have linked the supplies to nanikeola scrapbooking store for your convenience.
remember we are a baby store yet but we have some manufacturers worth the time to checkout.

:D---

thanks for stopping by and i really hope you all are doing well.

KISS ME...a mini file folder card

hello all,
i think is time for me to get out of hibernation despite we still have so much ice and snow and  in the ground and expecting more. we have been hammered: storm after storm.
i will try my best to have more projects for inspiration.
if you like my style, please subscribe so you do not miss a post.

today i will be using some products from the 'love you more' collection from elle's studio that i received in an order from nani ke ola scrapbooking supplies. all the little pieces and labels and journaling tags are adorable and so much fun to play with. i also ordered some 12x12 patterned papers from the same collection so i have a few projects in mind to share in the next few days.

Kiss Me
3.5" x 4.75"
mini file folder
i used a cricut cartridge for the file folder cut.  i popped with foam adhesive the 'kiss me' round tag and i also added some glossy accent to the mini heart.
i attached the hearts patterned paper with some straight stitch using my sewing machine and went over it a few times to make it stand out. you already know how much i am enjoying this sewing on my projects lately. hehe.

more sewing here attaching these two tags together that also came in the 'bits and pieces' pack.

i love how all the tags with their phrases make it so easy to work to layered together.
(the background white patterned paper is from american crafts).

hope you like my mini file folder card. you can add a love note of your own and afterwards use in any scrapbooking page as an embellishment or journaling tag.

all the supplies have been linked to nani ke ola for your convenience, if interested. the store is running a special right now of a 20% off on this collection right now and they are going fast. i am happy i had pre-ordered mine.

thank you for stopping by and if you have time you can also check our blog. my team mates are into mixed media and they show lots of beautiful techniques that you can use as an inspiration for any of your paper crafting projects.

Have a great day!
