BITTEN BY THE BUG 2 BLOG HOP

WOHOO!

another blog hop to enjoy. this time the hostess blog is

from the Heritage Cartridge we are using image #1---the cute "curly tree"

in any case, just hop to the Bitten by the Bug 2 blog and start from there and follow the instructions.

Autumn
8.5" x 4
long card
A10 size-i believe
the trees were cut at 3.5" and 3" using the shadow feature too.

this is the inside---just a piece of distressed paper to write your sentiment.

the border was made with a MS paper punch called "city escape" and the maple leaves are punched from a tiny punch from my stash.

here you can see how i used the border--

playing with saturation here---it almost look like art :)

have fun with the hop, enjoy it and enjoy the challenge. if you do not have this heritage cart, you can use any other tree.
i hope all of you are safe and no damage from Irene, the hurricane.

hugs to all and wish my boy the best in college.

love you all!

you can also click on the banner below to go to the start of the hop.
I will have a small giveaway for the  "FIRST" follower/visitor who tells me what else i added to this border, besides the leaves and the word autumn, there is something i added to have a bit of fun here.
you can always click on the pics to zoom in.

MY PINK STAMPER DESIGN TEAM MONTHLY PROJECT

today is our monthly design team project for
my pink stamper. we are using a stamp from the latest release. you can see them all HERE. they are worth the click, trust me!

i decided to use the yummy-licious one for my project.

Welcome
it is a tag
(we are getting a new neighbor on our street and this gorgeous tag will go along some yummy cookies)
i keep using some of the papers i found in my stash. they are so beautiful!

the house is from kate's abc's, image #26 on the overlay and cut at 1.96 x 2.92". i had to manipulated a bit to fit on my skinny tag. i cut it multiple times to get that thickness i am trying to get you to try. :P i am liking it a lot.

the tree is from every day pop up cards: image #14 on the overlay and adjusted again to fit my tag. the tree dimensions are: 1.5 x 4".

i inked everything of course, lol and attached that twine with a tiny jewelry finding i smashed a bit to fit ;P

the flowers below the house windows are from the first stamp set  i received from my pink stamper: the awesome "simply sweet occasions".  when i lost the "hi" one from this set and i was devastated, :(
anyway, i stamped the flowers on a mat border i cut from paper doll dress up. the image/mat i used for the  "welcome"
is from gypsy wanderings.

please stop at robyn's blog (My Pink Stamper) to see what my darling team mates have made with their stamps. i bet you you will be having a feast.

thanks you so much for stopping!

BEWARE--- A BITTEN BY THE BUG 2 CHALLENGE

 hello
i hope you all had a great weekend.

this week at the Bitten by the Bug 2 we have a sponsor:
The Stamping Boutique
click here for the link if you want to check them out.

i tried my best with this project and my apologies to those who have mastered the art which i just mutilated with my inexpertise.

Beware
4x6"
(photo heavy)
:(
this was my first try but i decided to add some grass or something
below the fence.

i used a MS punch and border to add these details.

much better here right? :)

i then added a frame, but the wrong one. :( for this challenge i had to use a frame from "happy hauntings", ooops! --sorry heather.

and the beware sentiment is from My Pink Stamper latest release
"spook-alicious".

here is my scarecrow in all its glory, :)

now, if i tried, you can too.
go ahead and participate in the challenge.
you can see now you do not have to be a pro. just have to be brave and try something new. and then publish it for the wide world to see, hehe

notes... i do not own any fancy markers and all i had was a crayola watercolors set and that is what i used to color this image. i also used watercolor paper i had in my stash.

click on this logo above and it will take you to the site so you can participate in the challenge and have fun with us too.
and...if you leave me a link to your project i will then select one for a little surprise from me to you.

thanks for stopping by.

love you all!

JUST ADD WATER...

in my To Do List i have a few Thank You cards i have to make but i haven't have time. my days haven't been too sunny lately but i am trying a new medicine starting today and i am hoping it works better or at least lasts longer.
anyhow, i made one of those thank you cards today, and it is going overseas.
Just Add Water...
4" x 6"
i do not know why i am liking the thickness on the cuts lately, but i cut 4 layers of the white cardstock for this card. it is a 110lbs. cardstock so it is not flimsy at all. i am just liking the look right now, maybe i change my likes next month, lol.
the stamp is from My Pink Stamper latest release and is called: Yummy-licious. well, flowers are yummy-licious too and i decided to use one of those stamps from my image.

the cut is from Everyday Pop Up Cards (cricut cartridge of course), image #3 on the overlay and page #23 on the handbook. i cut all its layers too.

a close-up of the flower. loving the texture on that paper.

this is another sentiment from the yummy-licious set and i stamped it on the inside.

i used the Font-abulous set for the shipping envelope
----the bad stamping was my fault, not the stamps fault, i was in a hurry :(----

well, one card to go....many more to make :P

remember you can click on the pics for zooming and you can click on any of the links to go to My Pink Stamper site---even this one,  :)

Big Hugs to all!

NOTES...A BIND IT ALL PROJECT

this is a BIA (Bind It All) project. a small notebook for a young friend friend of my son. T will be going to Connecticut to study theater/film production. she is very smart and already wrote, directed and produced a small play while in high school. T also assisted on the production of Lil' Abner, where my son played Abner.

Notes
5.25 x 3.25
NOTES were stamped with the Font-abulous clear stamp set from My Pink Stamper. the theater faces (sometimes called (Comedy and Tragedy) are from Locker Talk---image #24 with all its layers.

the ticket border is from K&CO. and the faces were stamped with an inkadinkado stamp set i own.

another view so you noticed the thickness of the notebook and the faces. i used modge podge to adhere the paper to a very thick chipboard.

this is how your BIA wires should look when closed. i still can't get a perfect "O" but i am getting much better. i really do not think you can get a perfect "O" but i keep trying. :P
T school colors are red, black and white.

thanks for stopping by and i hope this project reminds you of the dusty BIA in your closet. hehe
(that is where i found mine--LOL)

love you all and have a fab day!

BOSTON RED SOX CARD

HELLO
this is my third project for the
Design Team

this week we had to work with the
-Life is a Party-
cricut cartridge
and use the baseball from page #37. the baseball is image #17,
you will find this baseball using shift and the layer creative feature.

below is my take on this challenge.

Boston Red Sox Card
3.75"

my husband is a huge Red Sox fan. our family room is his domain and you will find all kind of Red Sox items and in the bathroom a Red Sox toilet seat--hehe-- yeah! you heard right. :)
anyway, i am giving him this card to honor his love for the team.

the letters are from Storybook cricut cartridge and they were cut at .75". the heart is from Beyond Birthdays. the socks are actually stockings from Christmas Cheer, that i manipulated by hand to make them look like socks. the white on them was done by hand too.
the stitches on the ball are the negative because i want them on top of the red.

this is the inside.
i used two of the My Pink Stamper stamps:
Sport-tastic for the "Home Run" and the new Font-abulous one for the dots around it....and..... it is not dirty by accident, i had to make it look as it had been played with, lol. imagine is dirt from Fenway--wink.

if you click on My Pink Stamper it will take you where the stamp sets are.... and if you click the BBTB2 logo, it will take you to the site where you can see where my teammates have made with this image and you can also play along with us and make one of your own and link it to the BBTB2 site.

i am so happy you decided to stop by and i certainly hope you decide to
"have a ball".
;p
Love you

MY PINK STAMPER PINK-A-LICIOUS BLOG HOP

welcome to the hut...the scraphut that is:
i am flowerdisco and i hope i make your stop here worth it.

this hop is to showcase the new clear stamps releases from
aka Robyn aka MPS
and Robyn's challenge for this hop is
"Getting to know to our designers: Show your Style".

anyhow, this is my third term as one of My Pink Stamper designers and i am so very pleased with her and all her products.
in addition
Robyn (My Pink Stamper)
and
Maria(our team leader, from Believe Dream Create with Maria)
are such a delight to work with, and such a good friendship and bond has developed among us all us (designers included). ;p

at the end of the hop you MUST go back to My Pink Stamper and see what else she has in store for you.

NOW i have to warn you: i really do not know what my style is (eclectic, perhaps?) but, i do know i really like to have fun when working on my projects and sometimes i delight on details and sometimes love to be very picky and fuzzy ;p... i do love color and do like distressing....making things look older. then, other days, i like to work on clean and simple projects. i do not scrapbook much but love making cards and working on different paper crafting projects. my project for today is an example of the later,
and in certain way it also reflects some of my style.
i really-really fell in love with this halloween stamp set. it is from this new release.
My Pink Stamper called it:
Spook-alicious
i used it on my project along with the Font-abulous one---which is another new release---you gotta love this font---so cute!!!

this is my project for the challenge

****WICKED****
door hanger/wall art
11.25" by 7"
(photo heavy post)
(i stamped each letter on white cardstock using orange ink and cut each letter by hand).the title frame/mat was cut three times on gray and one time on black for thickness.

the spiders are from "spook-alicious".
some were stickled (glitter gun) and others were glittered with a marker.

the frame/mat for the title and and the spooky tree from the happy hauntings cricut cart.

the "treats" word is also from "spook-alicious".
the purple with the tombs, the ghost and a little frog on the left (not shown on this pic) are from my supplies.

the custom parade is from my latest acquisition
"Autumn Celebrations".
this cricut cart is another must have.
i am very pleased with all the variety of images that we celebrate in the fall.

well, this project showed you the kind of what i do best with my "style":
I try my best to have fun.
i hope you enjoy it as much as i did making it.

MY BUTTERFLY BUSH

flowerdisco's butterfly bush
the butterflies weren't around when i took these pics---i really wanted to get a pic of at least one.
maybe next time i get luckier and have my camera with me.

in these pictures you can see--- 1- the flowers, ---2- how big it is right now, ---3- the flowers do not last long but they are always more blooming, ---4- new bloom, ---5- dried bloom, ---6- baby bloom and ---
7- the base (trunk).

i  prune it in early spring and i do cut it down pretty much. you can see the shooters by the base---where the tiny leaves are, but i am always cutting them off to keep the branches high.

enjoy!
