A BACK TO SCHOOL OWL CARD TAG

hello all,

this is the owl i had in my picture collage in the "previous post" that i couldn't use on my last project. remember i used
the cricut explore PNC (print and cut) feature and an svg's from the digi playground.

Back to School Card Tag
4.25"
i will try my best to explain the "how to" since i had some emails asking about the process.

step #1
-insert your images to the cricut design space-

step #2
-hide the back to school background by closing the eyes on the layer section to the right-

Step #3
-add two circles, change colors if desired, position them to the back of images (owl and back to school) , click "attach all" located at the top of virtual mat or by right clicking your mouse or touchpad, then click on "flatten" (see top right of pic) and
you will see the printer icon next to the layers sections instead the scissors for cut.

step#4
-click go and you will see the markings on your virtual cutting mat indicating it's ready to print-
***make sure you do not exceed the printing area. if you do exceed the printing area, go back and resize to a smaller size, hit go and print. after printing you are ready to cut in the explore.
if you have any questions, please contact me and i will try my best to help you.

here are some more pics of the card/tag:
-all the faux stitching was done with a white gel pen-

-the embellishment was made using a paper punch and a g studio clear stamp-

-the inside-

-cute little owl-
you also can cut the owl's layers individually or just some parts of it to add dimension and texture.

hope you enjoy my post for today.

see you next time,

A TRICK OR TREAT SCALLOPED PURSE TREAT HOLDER

for today's digi playground post i chose to make this cute scalloped purse and treat it as a trick or treat candy box. so easy to put together you do not even need glue because it has some nice tabs that you engage for the need of no glue at all, lol.
cool, huh?

Trick or Treat
(size around 5 inches in diameter and 2 inches in depth)
the main ingredient here is the scalloped purse svg. it was designed by miss samantha walker and you can find it
here.
i know i keep saying this but it is really so easy to put together, it will be perfect for a get together kid parent project for halloween, school, birthdays, weddings and the possibilities are almost endless with these type of treat boxes.

anyway, i have to tell you the pretty cardstock is from an oldie dcwv stack. i do not know if you can find it anymore.
the tag is from a paper punch, the sentiment from a g studio clear stamp and the ink from prima.

this collage of pics i made to show some of the process and i know you are wondering about the "back to school" and "owl" pic. hehe.
well, i tell you that was what i had in mind.
i wanted to add them but i cut them too big. they will be saved for a round card tough because i love how they turned out.
i used my explore and design space to print and cut them and that is why i wanted to include them.
i wanted you to see you can print and cut too.
they are both svg files from the digi playground and i linked them for you if interested.

and...did you notice the tabs for a glueless project?
i think is such a nice feature.

this is it for today.
i thank you again for taking the time to visit and i hope you have a great week.
if you have any questions, please, do not hesitate to contact any of us.
we are here to help.

A SWEET TAG...yes, yes, another tag

the tag maker lady here again, lol

this is my last project from the september card kit from artful delight.
and the beginning of the end of our term with artful delight. that gives me one more card kit for the month of october and 4 more project to share with you. it all has been so sweet, hence the name for my card.

Sweet
4" round

you already know all the supplies for my card are from this september's card kit and i made the circle with the cricut expression. i say circle and not circles because the image i chose has an outline and the patterned paper is double sided so from one cut i got two. like the  BOGO, hehe

the leaves are from a martha stewart punch (i guess not all the supplies are from the kit) but i had to give the beautiful flower some leaves, right? right!
the "sweet" letters are from the 12 x 12 alpha sheet you get from glitz (dapper man collection) and i like them so much because they are skinny (like i used to be- lmbo).

and here you have it....so sweet :)

my sweet neighbor liked this tag so much i am going to be very nice and gift it to her.
i told her the colors of this paper reminds me of fall and her pumpkin pies...that was a hint!!!---maybe i get a freshly baked one soon. hehe, let's see!

hope you have a great week and again,
thank you so much for stopping by my blog.

WELCOME HOME...using my pink stamper stamps

hello all,

welcome to another of my to share projects. this time i am using a retired stamp set from my pink stamper: freedom rocks

i have this beautiful paper from my mind's eye i wanted to use today for my card.

Welcome Home
4" round
the border and flowers are die cuts from the same my mind's eye kit: ooh la la.
the enamel dots are also from my mind's eye: the sweetest thing collection.

and here you can see the my pink stamper's freedom rocks stamp. this is one of the many sentiments that come in the set.
i made the card base with my sweet treats cricut cartridge, the leaves i made with a ms paper punch and i inked all the edges with a brown ink pad. i also used a foam dot to raise one of the die cut flowers.

(the background paper is from the same mme collection)

and this is it for today,
i greatly appreciate your visit and
 "i cannot thank you enough"
(another sentiment from the freedom rocks stamp set)

take care now and i hope your week is going good.

PAPER DOLLS DRESS UP SERIES---episode 9

hello all

welcome again to another episode of the pddu series. today is episode #9 and i was assigned to work with page #65: pioneer girl.
i chose the basket---accesories1 using the shift button.

Sweet
4" round
i used the wild card cart for the base (my fav card shape from this cart) and for the scallop shapes and the circle.

this color combo is one of my favorites.
that pretty cherry patterned paper is from crate: farmhouse collection. it is from a mini pad (6x6). the sweet sentiment on the tag is from a rub-on and the cherries were cut by hand from a sticker. the basket was cut at 1.75" and all edges were inked for more definition.

that strip of ric rac i found in my ribbon stash and as you can see i paper pierced the circle. the rest of the papers are from a k&co collection, maybe discontinued by now. i can't keep up with the latest collections :P but i find so many pretty papers in my stash.

now onto my teammate projects.

PAPER DOLLS DRESS UP SERIES---episode 7

i was really stumped with this assigned page. i wanted to make the super girl but i had made many dolls already and i wanted something different.
here is what i ended up making, :-)
(i will give you a glittery sneak peek first---hehe)

Have a Super Birthday!
3.5" round card
---nice fresh and clean colors---

i looked in my stash of "cuts for another day"
(i keep changing the name because i forget what i called it before, lol)
and found this cut from my world (overlay image #14 using shift) and used it as my base.
i then cut a white circle for the background.
the small stars are from a paper punch and the big yellow one is from pddu pg #50.
the lightning bolt is also from pddu pg #51.
the small circles across the space ship were made with the crop-a-dile :P

and the inside has a stamped sentiment from my pink stamper boy crazy stamp set:
"Have a Super Birthday".
something different from my usual. i like it. :P

let's see what my teammates made for this week with their assigned page.

makes me think of dear potter

and someone had fun at a magic show, cool!

 and another futuristic project.
love this car too and the the background city makes a perfect companion, imo that is. :)

i hope you had some enjoyable time here with these cool projects from the pddu
and....thanks for stopping by the hut, i really enjoy your company!

Daily Life: on monday i went for an upper gi since my gerd has been out of control, and next wednesday i will have gallbladder surgery since i spent the day after mother's day in the emergency room with excruciating pain on my upper abdomen which turned out to be gallstones :(
not feeling too well these days, just that you know.

BOSTON RED SOX CARD

HELLO
this is my third project for the
Design Team

this week we had to work with the
-Life is a Party-
cricut cartridge
and use the baseball from page #37. the baseball is image #17,
you will find this baseball using shift and the layer creative feature.

below is my take on this challenge.

Boston Red Sox Card
3.75"

my husband is a huge Red Sox fan. our family room is his domain and you will find all kind of Red Sox items and in the bathroom a Red Sox toilet seat--hehe-- yeah! you heard right. :)
anyway, i am giving him this card to honor his love for the team.

the letters are from Storybook cricut cartridge and they were cut at .75". the heart is from Beyond Birthdays. the socks are actually stockings from Christmas Cheer, that i manipulated by hand to make them look like socks. the white on them was done by hand too.
the stitches on the ball are the negative because i want them on top of the red.

this is the inside.
i used two of the My Pink Stamper stamps:
Sport-tastic for the "Home Run" and the new Font-abulous one for the dots around it....and..... it is not dirty by accident, i had to make it look as it had been played with, lol. imagine is dirt from Fenway--wink.

if you click on My Pink Stamper it will take you where the stamp sets are.... and if you click the BBTB2 logo, it will take you to the site where you can see where my teammates have made with this image and you can also play along with us and make one of your own and link it to the BBTB2 site.

i am so happy you decided to stop by and i certainly hope you decide to
"have a ball".
;p
Love you

WILD CARD WITH LISA/DOILY

Hello to all!

As some of you know, I love gardening. I like to play with the dirt and
start my flowers/vegetables from seeds.
I am no pro and I do not have a beautiful garden. I just like to garden.
This is my time to start seeding and that is
what I was doing yesterday. Then, I had some volunteering job to do.
I also had my electrician at home because we had the
main circuit box changed and needed
to call the inspector and make an appointment.
Also, my door bell was not working.
The problem was the switch needed to be reset, ooops... lol.
Anyhow, you know what he told me? The hole in the ceiling???
I almost cried when he said he would've done it for $50 :(
From now on I will call him first.
Anyway, I apologize I got distracted here from the main object of this post, which is the

WILD CARD WITH LISA

On this Thursday, March 9, and a beautiful day.
(I believe the temp is supposed to be nearly 50 degrees,
YAY! It is like recharging my battery with the
awesome sunshine after a long winter).
I am presenting the Doily Card
# 21 in our series and from page 52 of the handbook.

WILD CARD WITH LISA/CIRCLE

Welcome in Spanish is
"Bienvenidos"
*-*
Bienvenidos
to my blog.
Today we have the Circle Card.
You can find it on page #48 and this card is the 17th card we have made.
I bought a pack of Kraft cardstock at Hobby Lobby and I am loving the texture, color and how much my Cricut like s it too. It cuts like butter with a blade depth of 3 and the pressure on 4.

My Circle Card
4 inches

and below you have the envelope which I stamped and colored in with my Sakura Gelly Roll pens.
(The souffle ones are not working anymore).
The Gelly Roll ones leave a raised and shiny surface on your image.
You do have to go very slow to achieve the look.
