A VALENTINE'S DAY CANDY BOX...

to keep celebrating the month of love, friendship, hearts and more.

soooo, i hope you went to see the valentine's kit from the pumpkin spice shop I blogged about yesterday.
what a deal!!!
today i am using one of the stamps from the "with love" stamp set that my friend stephanie designed and that my other friend denine used in her valentine's kit (for sale at the pumpkin spice shop)

You Make my Heart Feel Super Happy
a valentine's day candy box
4" tall
this is the sentiment from the kit....so cute! i love it! and i am in cloud 9, hence the clouds.
this candy box is from the tags, bags, boxes and more 2 (TBBM) cricut cartridge. the speech bubble is from create a critter. the white cardstock is from bazzill. the mini white rose if from tim holtz. the mini hearts are from the same stamp set: with love. i stamped the hearts on the back of the papers and cut. the rest of the supplies are from my stash.

and this is it for today.
(these dt's are keeping me feeling productive, :D)

do not forget to check the valentines day kit and see all the goodies that you will get on this kit.
(quantities are limited so hurry up and get yours before they are all gone)

thanks for stopping by!

KISS JAR---altered pantry jar

hello all,
we got some light snow in since yesterday. my backyard looks like like a winter wonderland. i love when is fresh snow on the tree branches.

i  had time to made this jar i had in my pantry waiting for a nice occasion. i bet you already notice i like to alter items and i also like to repurpose.

Kiss Jar

---sorry about these pictures. my computer is sick. (i dropped an iris case on the keyboard and i think it damaged the hard drive. i am using my husband's but it does not have the same photo editing program i have in mine. when i get tim,e i will see if i can download it for free--i like that program better than this one).
---the frog is from create a critter, page #24---image #1 on the overlay.---

the red paper, hearts and one of the borders are from k&co. the scalloped brown border is from crate paper.
this super cute necklace was made with a beautiful ribbon a blogger sister gave me a while ago. the chrome flower is a piece of jewelry. her nails, heart, eyes and lips were accented with glossy accents.
and i draw some eyelashes for winking..lol.
different strands of ribbon for the jar neck with a heart charm attached to them.
i finished my jar with hershey kisses---my favorite chocolate--and i have tried many, hehe.

note:

my husband's b-day was on thursday. i made a special dinner for him. i went to the fish market i got some whole red snapper to bake. i also made mashed potatoes mixed with sauteed onions and a side of grilled asparagus---YUMMY!---what a delicious meal. i also got some clams. we ate those on friday. this jar was for him too---along with his birthday gifts and, of course, we are sharing the candy---wink!

take care for now and have a great weekend!
---still loving you all---

WITCHY--- A BITTEN BY THE BUG CHALLENGE

HELLO
i have a new BLOG BUTTON not made by me this time, lol. i had chris from http://chatterscene-mom.blogspot.com/p/custom-blog-info.html made it for me. hopefully, you pay her a visit and see how beautiful her work is and how beautiful she can make your blog for a super very reasonable price. i did not want a blog makeover because i like to change things around a lot, but i did want a button that i can always use and that you can grab if you want to.

anyhow, this week at the Bitten by the Bug, we are working with a frog from create a critter, page #24.
let's play along!
this is my project using the cute froggie.
since the witches have already getting ready for their day, i wanted to make my frog fit for the occasion.

Witchy
3.5" x 6"
you might ask what kind of envelopes i use for these sizes...well, with the gypsy, i can maneuver the envelopes in some cartridges and customize them for my cards. ;D
purple is always so hard for me to photograph well, :(
the witchy epoxy circle just added the perfect touch for the spot and, gave me a name for the card. on the back, i just hot glued a piece of black dyed bias ribbon.
the spider web on the left is from october 31st, image #8 on the overlay and,
flipped to fit on the left side of my card. some of the web is behind the background paper.

this cardstock i used for the frog it was a plain cardstock which i stamped with purple ink to give it some substance. i am trying to play more with my stamps and this is a pretty example of what you can do with stamping.
the green bat on her necklace is the negative of a paper punch, i covered it with glossy accents for a bit more of bling.

the fancy right edge border is another paper punch from fiskars, and the orange and black beads i purchased on clearance last year after halloween for this halloween...thrifty/frugal/cheap/smart???...
whatever you want to call me, lol

this is the final card. i just love it so much and i hope you do too and give you a push to participate in this week challenge at Bitten by the Bug.

thanks so much for stopping by
and, next week is my turn to choose the image you will be working on the challenge. yay! you do not want to miss it, lol.

------------
NOW...it is my pleasure to announce the winner of last week Bitten by the Bug hop.
below is a reminder of the rules for the giveaway:

"i have a small giveaway and i will use random.org to choose for me.
you will have three days to claim your prize.

***the small print says you must participate in this BBTB challenge to be able to add your name for my giveaway".

ok, i just had three entries and instead of using random i decided i will choose it myself. The winner is Diana L. she is one of my faithful followers.
sometimes it does pays to be a follower uh?, lol.
Thanks Diana for being such a sweet friend.
contact me and let me know your addy. we all have so many supplies but when you email me i will ask if you have this or not :D

a BIG thank you to Katieo and Sue for stopping by and also for participating on the wheelbarrow challenge at the BBTB2. anothe HUGE thank you for my other friends who stopped by to comment on my project even they did not have time to participate in the challenge. know that i always read your comments and they really fuel me to keep blogging. :P
XOXO

love you all!

"OH! SO SOFT" WITH THE WEEKLY CUTTLEBUG SPOT CHALLENGE

and...
we have come to an end. this is our last project for the cuttlebug spot. my term has come to an end and it was a pleasure to work with nilda who comes up with such nice challenges and make you wear your rusted thinking cap...hehe.
i have also got the pleasure to meet  and work and get inspired from some very talented designers through this blog and i am so glad for it.
"a big applause"
to nilda and my team mates for all the hard work and their awesome creations .

these latest  projects have been easy and this week we are to use felt on our projects.

i am working on another mini and even my "felted" embellishment was store bought...still felt, lol

Nature
4.50 x 6.50
mini album cover

that little owl is felted :P
no embossing on this cover but the back of it.

"nature" is from graphically speaking and the heart from create a critter.

easy post here today too.

hope you enjoy it and as soon as i finish with it i will post the pics up.

disclaimer: i am not trying to compete with rhonda here because she is the queen of shaped minis...lol

have a great day!
love you all.

PUSH THE BUTTONS WITH THE CUTTLEBUG SPOT WEEKLY CHALLENGE

yes, i am super late with my project for TheCuttlebug Spot. so late i told nilda she did not have to add it if she did not want to.
the weekly challenge is to use buttons on your project.
i made a big tag.

Enjoy
5.5" tall
(i need to trim that upper left corner a bit--it is bugging me).
anyway, this tag started being a card, of course, lol. but by the time i finished it did not look like a card but a tag. so, i cut the other half and made it into what i guess it was supposed to be...a tag.
the base is from "just because cards", image#34
using shift and adjusting the width with the gypsy to a 3.25.

i cut that shape three different sizes as you can see to add the layers to the tag.. the embossing was done with a sizzix folder called "snowballs" using my cuttlebug. i also used the "divine swirls" cuttlebug folder for the clouds from "paper dolls for everyday", image#15 using the accesories3 creative feature. the butterfly it is from the same cart-- image#3 using shift and accesories3.

here is the so very cute snail and the HUGE BUTTON from my vintage buttons box. the snail is from "creative a critter", image#44 flipped to the right.
as you can see i finally got me some more hemp. i love using that stuff. now i have to get some ms twine.
i tried using the zip dry glue to adhere the button but it did not work at all so i used my trusty glue gun.

the stamp is from a my pink stampers set called "everyday life" you can see more of the sentiments and of her stamps if you click HERE.

well, i hope you join us at the cuttlebug spot weekly challenge and get those nice buttons out and play along. or just stop to see what my very creative team mates worked their butt-ons up to, hehe.

love you all!

GATEFOLD CARD CHALLENGE FOR THE CUTTLEBUG SPOT

hello all
i hope you guys had a great love day yesterday.
it was quite here, but nice.
------------

the cuttlebug spot challenge this week is making a gatefold card and this is my take on it
--i still have no name for it-- :(
for now i will call it

Any Occasion Gatefold Card
6 x 7-3/4
pretty big in size- :)
i took a piece of 12 x 7-3/4 inch cardstock
--scored it at 3 and 9 inch--
and that was my gatefold card base.
i used dcwv songbird cardstock.

the gate and the lamp post are from the heritage cricut cartridge, the birds are from an ek mini punch and the grass is from create a critter.

the butterflies are from a martha stewart paper punch.

the clouds are also from create a critter.

on the above pic you see better the dry embossing on the clouds and if you click on the pic it will zoom for a better view.
i used my cuttlebug, of course, and a sizzix texture plate this time.

i had no idea what i wanted to make at all, but as always, all came together at the end,
and i think it turned out really pretty.
what do you think?

come on, play with us and let us see your take on the gatefold card. remember nilda always have something to give away to a lucky participant. click HERE for more info and for more eye candy from the rest of the design team :P

thanks for stopping by!!
-love you all-

HAPPY BIRD-DAY TO ROBYN---MY PINK STAMPER--

today is Robyn's birthday and we, her designers, made some birthday cards for her and we are showing them on our blogs. i forgot to send mine out with everything going on, but she will "belated" get it, lol.
Happy Bird-day
6.50 x 7.25
the other day robyn made a tall card -click on "tall card" to see it--and it was my inspiration for this one.
this card base is from wild card--image #12 and using the hide contour to hide the oval window in the original.
i tried to use robyn's favorite colors (pink, green and brown) but missed on the brown ;p..i used a yellow ribbon instead to match the bird's beak and legs.

the ribbon slide, image #44 using the decor tag feature, is from from gypsy wanderings---which i tend to forget about it and i just realized it has many basics shapes like george does too--.
the scalloped heart, image#18 is from the same gypsy wanderings, and the other two hearts from gypsy font.

the sentiment is from robyn's stamps, of course--- i wouldn't dare use any other for her birthday :) plus i really like her stamps a lot. you can find it on the tweetie hoo puns set (you can click on the pic or the name if you wish to see more of her stamps/products)

 TWEETIE HOO PUNS

the cute bird---my favorite-- is from create a critter--image #42.

i used some bling robyn had send me with some stamps.

this is the inside---the sentiment is a group of  three "tweetie hoo puns" stamps

if you have time please stop by Robyn aka My Pink Stamper and wish her a happy birthday-- she is an awesome friend and human being and i wish her the best not just on her birthday but everyday.

happy bird-day to you my dear robyn!!!

and thank you my friends for all the support and love you give me...
love you all

BACK TO SCHOOL TEACHER'S GIFT

NOTE
This is a copy and paste of my post at
Sheila's aka SassyLady

*****

Hello fellow bloggers and friends.

Some of you might know me already but for those who doesn't a proper introduction is due.
My name is Agnes aka flowerdisco and I run a blog where I share my creations, mostly cards, for your entertainment. A few months ago I bought a Flip with hopes to make lots of video tutorials but soon realized I was no teacher. My goal and hopes still there, I just need to get there and do it, right? lol
I am also one of Sheila's aka SassyLady new designers and I am super excited to be here and share with you a project I made. Since I was thinking about the videos and teaching, I also realized school starts soon in my area. One of my neighbors is a retired teacher but she still does substitute a lot. I made my project with her in mind and I will be giving it to her before school starts.

I decided to use the one inch bag again from the Cricut cartridge Tags, Bags, Boxes and more because I love how simple and well made always turns out to be.
This bag is the one I made for one of My Pink Stamper Designer Team Projects and I also had a couple of giveaways kits with it too.

This is the project I made and I sure hope you like it.

BACK TO SCHOOL TEACHER'S GIFT
5.50 inch tall

I also made some bookmarks to go with it. I used Create a Critter for all of the Animal Species. There are 6 Animals Groups: amphibians, birds, fish, insects, mammals and reptiles. I am no teacher remember, so please, correct me if I am wrong :p

I made the frog (amphibian) from page 24, the chick (bird) from page 53 and the fish (fish) from page 43. All of them are from the Create a Critter cartridge.
They were all cut at 2.25 inch high but you can see a big difference in the width.

I also made a dog (mammal), a butterfly (insect) and a turtle (reptile). Does it sound like a science class yet? lol. I cut the turtle at 2 inches, the dog at 2.25 inch and the butterfly at 2.50 inches.

I cut some chipboard at 1 by 9" and the patterned paper at 2.50 by 9" to cover the naked chipboard and to make my bookmarks.

Here is a collage of the animals.
(remember you click on all the pics for a bigger view)

After  I was almost done I decided to add to the sides of the bag the word "bookworm" since inside it you will find bookmarks. I always have problems adding a shadow when is none in the cartridge but I didn't want to fuzz too much more and at the end I always like the result anyway. Who said we have to be perfect, right?
Below you will see the "bookmark" word on the sides and another view of the front of the bag.

I hope you enjoyed my humble project and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

You can find me at

Thanks for stopping by
and
a big hug to all.

JUST ANOTHER POST IT HOLDER

I really enjoyed making these small cuts with Create a Critter.
They look so awesome on the cover of these Post-It Holders.
You should make one too.

Sweet Chick!

I left the ribbon long again because it will be easier to open and close and the reason I opted for a ribbon is because I do not want them to open up in their purses if  they carry them in.

The stamp is again from MPS Punnylicious latest release. They coordinate so well with some of the cartridge images and specially with this Create a Critter one.

Thanks for stooping by and
I hope you all have

A terrific Mother's Day weekend!!!

Love and Hugs to all!

The Frog is from the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge and cut at 2.5 inches on American Crafts cardstock.
Added pop dots for dimension and a little jewel for bling.
