DAD'S PEGBOARD...

hello all,
father's day is around the corner and i want to share with you
this new pegboard card from the digi playground.
.
The World's Best Dad
4.25" x 5.5"
don't you think it is the perfect father's day card for the handyman dad?

i am making a few for some handy guys in the family.
they are going to love this pegboard...it does not make holes in the wall, lol.
i used some bazzill, core-dinations and recollections cardstock, wink of stella on some of the tools to give it a bit of shimmer and some foam tape for dimension.

you all know i use the cricut design space along with the cricut explore but this svg file is also compatible with the silhouette, make the cut (MTC), sure cuts a lot (SCAL) and the sizzix eclipse.
this font is really pretty too.
NOTE: (the measurement tape piece is NOT included, i had it in my stash)

this is the inside.
the font is from the cricut don juan cartridge.

if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to leave them in the comments area.

once again, thanks for stopping by and i hope you have a great week.

77

hello all.
thanks for stopping by.

today i am sharing a set of cards made with a collection from glitz called
"77" that i received from nanikeola scrapbooking
we have seen that black is coming back and i had seen some of it around blogs.
i chose to use it today since this "77"  has some of it too.

using my trusty cricut expression i cut out the bases from a cart called "just because cards".
-these are most of the colors in this collection: kind of a retro vibe, right?-
i also used my cricut for the "you & me" and "xo".

the 6x6 pad has the smaller versions of the journaling tags:
"i love what you do". the stitching on the side was done with a fiskars punch and
the hearts were done with a martha stewart's one.
love the orange patterned paper with the blue dots at the bottom.

this one was done with another small version of the journaling tags from the 6x6 paper pad. the arrows and the heart are from their stickers sheet. the heart has some gold on it.

and i left my fav for last. i think it turned out so cute. look at the glasses on the bow, so cute.
the sentiment is also from their 12 x12 stickers sheet. the yellow/lime green paper is from glitz too but another collection.

see all of them have some black? i think black gives the projects the "that's it" that makes everything looks complete.

below you will see what i used for this project.

and they are linked for your convenience.
oh...and nanikeola has some pretty crafty stuff for sale.

i have to retire now, hehe....but i will be back.
i always do, wink!

have a great week!

A MOXIE FAB CHALLENGE

i started following miss cath from moxie fab world recently, despite she has been with the paper crafts magazine for a long while now.
this is miss cath's "gingham challenge" and it ends on june 4th, and since i wanted to participate in some challenges i got brave, lol,
and this is my entry.

Hello
3.5" x 4.75"

apparently "gingham" seems to be the new trend.
i already mentioned i am not a trendy person unless i really like the trend and, gingham is to me synonym of sewing (somehow :P) and i like sewing :D so here i am following this trend with this simple card.

i did some sewing as you can see and punched the doilie border from a martha stewart punch. the yellow flowers are from another paper punch and the red centers were made with the crop-a-dile and  dotted with some diamond stickles. the "hello" is from the don juan cricut cart.

i am happy to start stretching my venues a bit.

you can click HERE to participate in this challenge or to juice up your inspiration :)

thanks for stopping by!

MPS MAY DESIGN TEAM PROJECT

time goes fast when having fun!
it is time for another MPS design team project
this coming month is Father's Day and the team has some awesome projects
to get your creativity floating...wink :)...
using some of my pink stamper latest releases.
I am using the "spectacular sayings" set for my card.
Dad, you're one of a kind!
4.25" x 5.5"

i used "pack your bags" cricut cartridge for the family. this image was cut at 4.25 using all its layers.

DAD, is from don juan and "you're one of a kind" from "spectacular sayings", one of my pink stamper's latest releases.

i stamped the eyes, noses and eyebrows with a stamp from my stash. i colored in the cheeks with chalk.

the sun was also stamped.

i think this one turned out so cute and i bet my team mates projects are even better. this is a very talented group my pink stamper has in her design team. so hurry if you haven't been there yet, for tons of inspiration.

love you all!

Daily Life: my son made it to the top 20 of his class with high honors all through his school life. he was elected student of the year and he received various awards. saturday was his prom night and his grad will be the 9th. we are so happy for him and i wanted to tell the world about it. i also would like you to join me in wishing him the best in all his future endeavors. it is a tough journey but with God blessings on his side, he can do it.
my husband diabetes still high: almost 300 but he did go to our family doctor and all his diabetes meds were increased. he needs to go back in three weeks and then in july he will go to an endocrinologist.
i am doing "ok" and keep going--- :)
i also want to take the time to thank God for keeping him safe and praise him in all his glory. Amen!
