BITS AND PIECES NOTECARDS

 i am putting to rest bits and pieces with this post. 

not that i have fell out off love but, because i love it so much, lol.

these are 3 of the many notecards with inserts in this bits and pieces cricut cartridge.

 -nice bright colors, huh? hehe.

actually they are not as bright as they look but the sun was out today and shining on them, yay! 

maybe some of the snow and ice starts to melt a bit.

i will start with the first one i made

 the bee one

how cool is that bee, huh?

lovely

the id#'s i will be adding (when i do not forget) are the assigned numbers in the cricut explore design space software. (for those new to the cricut family)

card w/insert: id#M100B18

size: 4-1/8" x 5-1/4" and with the insert comes out 6-1/8"

(but of course , you can cut them at any size you want)

the bee id# is MFB7F1 and was cut at 2-3/4" x 4"

the design on the notecard front are hexagons and that is why i chose the bee as an accent.

the second one i made was 

the congrats one

id#: MFCF16

i added this other bow id# MFB0A7 as a backing for the open dots from the insert bow.

(i think it looks better this way) 

and added the congrats id# M35ED6 on the open window.

the congrats word is from the stamping cartridge.

size: 3" x 4-1/16 tall and with insert goes up to 6-1/16"

and the third one was

a nightmare

 lol.

so pretty but you have to fold it perfectly or the flaps won't match neither the insert and i did not know how to keep it close so i added a band around it to keep it shut.

on this first one i tried it with the flower and a bit of temporary adhesive but it was not working.

so, i added a band around it to keep closed

and, adhered the flower to the band instead to the one flap.

i also altered the insert and just cut a rectangle and added it to the center. this way you still have another color showing through and you still keep your sanity, lol.

oh, and the color is purple not blue as it looks on the prior pic. i can't never get a good purple on any of my pics :(

size: 3" x 5" when closed

the insert (rectangle-use any rectangle) was cut at 2.8" x 4.9".

WARNING TIP: to get the size of 3x5 of the notecard you need to cut it at 5.87" x 10-1/2". (MUCH BIGGER)

the flower id# is MFB230 cut at 2.4" x 2.46"

i won't be adding many sizes from now on because at the end you decide what size you need or want them to be, right? so i won't bored you w/them :)

hope you like them and inspired you to come up with some other color combos and elements to coordinate them.

(and update on the wanted to be tabs: haven't done nothing with those tabs so i might be taking them down until i am ready if i ever will be ready.

these days i just can do less and less.

have all these ideas but can't accomplish them as desire. it is what it is. i think i just should stay with etsy and donate a percentage to charity from the items i sell and try not to take anymore i can handle).

if you make it, make sure to customize it first,

my mailbox is poorly constructed. i just did not have the time and just needed to get it done. apologies to myself because i am too picky.

Valentine's Mail

smaller size will look adorable to hold party favors or candy.

JUST A NOTE

hello all, 

did you have fun last night with our ceo and team?

it was lots of fun trying to keep up. i failed. no way i was keeping up with all of it.

anyway, i am happy for us cricuteers explorer. our future looks so good.

and mr. ashish (cricut ceo) is one of the kind.

i think we all love him. he has been trying so hard to earn our hearts back and they way i see it, he is succeeding. 

anyway, with all the snow and pain here and there...the days just fly and i did not have anything done from the bits and pieces cart

 BUT...

i had found this free svg (they have other freebies) at a new site called digiplayground and i  had made this cute little box for valentines.

oh please, DO NOt type 

digital playground or it will take you to a porn site...it just happened to me, oh my!

the name is 

digiplayground....

(maybe they should think of another name because typing the wrong key can take you on that other site). lol.

i think it turned out really cute. 

i had room for 6 mini cards and their envelopes for the size i chose.

i stamped the wavy postal lines on the envelope using a g-studio clear stamp i had on my stash. the mini heart was punched out.

NOTE: i tried to include all the number id's and where the cuts were from but some i can't remember. that is one thing i want to have on design space: the ability to find/see what cart was used after being added on the virtual mat and then be able to save all that info.

i do not know if they do have that option or not, but i can't find it.

you can make these darling boxes any way you want: any other size, colors, events and use them as desire.

BITS AND PIECES HELLO CARD

hello all.

this card i had made for last wednesday but for lack of good natural light i was not able to upload but i am sharing it with you today.

(i want to apologize because i haven't be able to work on the extra tabs. i really want to start them going. i will get there. god's will).

this is a cute of card. it has an insert you can use as a pocket for pics or journaling or just to keep in whatever you desire.

and again, we can cut it in a smaller size or a larger size.

 that hello got me. i think it is a gorgeous font. 

it was cut at 2-1/4 inches tall and the width is around 4".

i cut the insert a bit shorter because it was sticking out too much for my liking.

 the hello word comes with or should i say "on" a speech bubble? 

i un-grouped them and just cut the word.

i am delighted with all the new cricut carts coming out lately. what a bundle of joy. 

bits and pieces is a must have. 

i am starting a series on this cart and this is just a sneak peek using one of the images.

(i am planning to blog bits and pieces on wednesdays).

Hexagons 

how cute are they, huh?

i cut them at 2 inches, they are adorable.

i used american crafts textured cardstock on these darlings.

they will be on my etsy store plus i will also be adding them to the custom items tab.

(still have to figure out the charities and paypal donation button).

VALENTINE'S DAY DIE CUTS

hello all,

i am trying to post at least once a week until i get things back to normal in my household.

i missed some challenges i wanted to participate in but son just left this past sunday and i did not have the extra time.

hope you are all enjoying the explore. 

i am still getting used to it and i haven't tried any of the new features yet.

these die cuts i made for my etsy shop and thought i would share them here for inspiration. very simple but cute.

i chose the volkswagen because i always wanted to have a real one, :)

Die Cuts 

4-1/4" tall

 i used bazzill cardstock i bought at acm with a 50% off coupon.

you get a variety of textures and colors.
