SCHOOL DAYS MINI ALBUM

hello all,

i have to say i always liked this type of mini. i like the different sizes and the sneak peek of the pages. very easy to make as we all know and you can embellish it any way you want for whatever occasion you need.
just add some pretty pattern paper, die cuts, stickers, pics and you are ready to show it off.

i made it for a nephew who just started kindergarten. my niece can add some pics and notes about that special day. if she needs more pages (sure she will), she will let me know (she will) :D
i just wanted to share it with you all in my today's

the size is approx: 9" long x 2-3/4' tall not counting the inserts.

-the pretty school theme paper is from we are memory keepers-

-a few more pics-
-some of the embellishments are stickers and others die cuts i made-
the mini pockets and inserts come with the svg file as you saw on the screenshot.

no need to say my niece and nephew loved it and i loved making it for them.

it turned out simply adorable!

this is the original file
designed by carina gardner

-and, below is a screenshot of how it looks on my virtual mat is prior to cut-
(as you might know i use the cricut explore and cricut design space for my die cutting including all my digi playground svg's.)
Note: when in design space, do not forget to attach the score lines to the images, in this case the mini album base.

hope you enjoyed it and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask them.

 once again,
thanks for taking the time to stop by.

HAPPY HELLO...a your favorite color combo challenge

this week the challenge is
"use your favorite color combo".
i have many favorite color combos and this is one of them.

Happy Hello
is my first pillow box ever, hehe
did i mention our sweet sponsor this week was so very generous and will be giving away a $15 gift certificate to a lucky participant?
i want to send a big thank to
"the paper parade"
we the dt also received some goodies and
the penguin was included in the goodies. isn't he handsome? he is a kaisercraft one.
as you can see i stamped it on patterned paper.
---all the papers used are from the paper parade authentique lovely collection---
it is the same collection i used for this banner and this card i made a while ago.
the sweet happy hello banner sentiment is from this whimsical designs clear stamp set.

the pillow box is from a cricut cartridge called: Wrap it up and i used a paper punch to make the zig zag border.

don't you love him?
i did some paper piecing on him too: hat, beak and feet. i hand cut the banner after i stamped the sentiment and popped it on foam tape.
i know you love him too.

and thanks a bunch for stopping by.

MORE POINSETTIAS...this time, using wrap it up

i made twelve and put them throughout the living room, kitchen and dining room.

they are not perfectly made because what i first had in mind was to hang them on the front fence but then, we were expecting rain and i changed my mind, lol.

have fun making yours, they do add a beautiful touch to your house holiday decorations.
and once again,
---see you later---

SOMETHING YUMMY FOR YOUR TUMMY

 HELLO FRIENDS
send me a virtual hug so the emptiness from not having my son around does not affect me too much.
we lost power during Irene and encountered closed roads, closed bridges and by the time we got to Boston it was almost time for him to go to a meeting. Our good byes were too short. He started his community services (FYSOP) on Tuesday and he is working with disabled children. he moved a week earlier to participate in this program. we stayed one more day around the city in case we had time to have dinner with him but it was not possible.
in our way home it all hit me, but by the time we got home i was doing better. i had 6 hours to moan, lol.

Something Yummy for your Tummy
5.5" x 4.25"
hehe---i am not pregnant---hehe
it is just a card, lol. i used the Wrap it Up cart for this one.
the stork can be find on page #63 on the handbook and is image #43 on the overlay. it was cut at 4 inches.
the sun was hand-drew and the stork has 4 layers plus the patterned paper one.

the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper. It is in the Yummy-licious stamp set. the two asterisks are from Love-a-licious, also from My Pink Stamper (MPS). the foot border is also from My Pink Stamper--LOL--and is from the Sweet Baby clear stamp set.
i am telling you, you can mix and match her stamps and even make your own sentiments with them--wink! they are so versatile!!!!!

the background paper was purposely made to look wrinkle, :)
and i do not know if you can see the thickness of the stork and clouds on this pic. I am loving the thickness you can acquire with a few more cuts adhered together---awesome look!

this is the inside of the card and the sentiment is also from the Sweet Baby clear stamp set from My Pink Stamper.

Hope you like it and and got to see the versatility of these stamps. this set of YUMMY-LICIOUS is meant to be used mostly with food items, baking the most but you can use them for a totally different occasion as i did here with my card
"Something Yummy for your Tummy"
indeed.

----

here is a pic before the departure.
we had to get more bungee cords to pile up more totes on top :-) since the trunk was already full.

love you all!
soon i will be able to visit you too
i love to browse your blogs and see what you are up to.
wohoo!

STEP CARD CHALLENGE FOR THE CUTTLEBUG SPOT

 hello my friends
today we start another week at
The Cuttlebug Spot
and this month challenge is making different shape cards.
last week was the tri-fold and this week we have to make a step card. i do not think i have ever made a step card and while looking on the internet i realized there are a few variations on the step card. i chose the easiest one or i did think it was the easiest, but because i enjoy every minute still took me almost half a day to complete.

Sweet Dreams
5.5 x 4.25
A2 standard invitation size
you can use a standard A2 envelope for it
if you never made a step card before you know you can google it and to will give you many tutorials but i will try to give you the basics here.

you need:
a 5.5 x 10.5 piece of sturdy cardstock

you will score it at:
1.25, 2.5, 4.25 and 6
 and fold as picture above

then you cut some pretty pretty:
5.5 x 1.25
5.5 x 1.75
5.5 x 2.25

adhere as pictured above and embellish as desired.

the baby bottle is from the cricut wrap it up cartridge, image #13 on the overlay. i did my dry embossing with a small cuttlebug folder i had like forever :). the sentiment is from another new release of my pink stamper called sweet baby and as the tittle implies, it is mostly baby sentiments. i did not take a pic of it and it is not on robyn's product page yet, but i know it does have a lot of nice sentiments on it and i am loving it. keep your eyes open for this one and for another awesome one she just showed HERE today. we are all going to love that one.
the onesies is also from wrap it up, image #33. it was embossed with another small cuttlebug folder and a tiny flower rub-on was added too.

the sweet dreams is from a pack of store bought embellishments i have...you must know i am addicted to them too... wink-wink... and it was popped up with foam tape.

i had to go outside to take a decent picture (thank goodness it was not too cold) but this is a nice side view photo of the card.

i had to make a stand for it because it kept falling backwards. i found this stand on the happy hauntings cartridge and twisted it a bit with the gypsy for almost the perfect size ;p... you can find it on page #68 of the happy hauntings handbook.

hope you like it and inspire you to participate in this week challenge and you even might win some candy.
please, click here to see what my teammates made for this week. i bet you will be delighted to see the different takes on this step card.

---

--the winner of the action wobbles contacted me and i will be sending the tiny package to Norway this week.

--this FRIDAY, feb.11th. we are having our monthly my pink stamper blog hop starting at 8PM central/9PM eastern time. this one will be lots of fun too.

see you tomorrow
and
love you all--!!
