THINKING OF YOU...

hello all,
"thinking of you" is the last card using my sweet august artful delight card kit.
as always it was packed with so many pretty papers, embellishments and a darling stamp set.

i can't wait to have the september one. i bet it will be as fabulous as the rest of them. the ladies who are in charge do a great job putting the kits together. i have love every single one and i have been able to work with different brands i normally do not find locally.

Thinking of You
4.25 x 5.5"
(i haven't make this size of card in a while-:)
for this card i used fancy pants patterned papers and chipboard stars. there is a thin strip of patterned paper that is from crate paper (the 4th one from the top).

the tag is a die cut but it was just a bit short of what i wanted so i added a bit of the same crate paper i used for the thin strip and joined it with the supper pretty washi tape from queen & co. you will see it better in the pic below.
the green banners were stamped using two of the jillibean soup stamps and the "thinking of you" sentiment skinny banner is from pebbles.

on this pic you can see the strip that was added to the bottom of the tag with the washi tape.

i know is a very busy card but all came together so well. i am so happy with the cluster of elements on the tag complimenting the pattern paper with the cameras, the stars and the film strip. we even see a little piece of heaven (first top strip of blue paper)...hehe.

hope you enjoy my card for today.

on another note, if you did not have time to join in our monthly challenge, mark it on your calendar for this coming month of september. the winner receives a kit of their choice: card or scrapbooking.

ENJOY!...with a bit of washi

haha,
a bit of washi tape on the top right corner and above the pretty flower is all this card needed to have my approval, lol
i even sew a double stitch with my sewing machine and at the end..the super cool and trendy film washi tape did the job...in my opinion that it, wink!!!

Enjoy!

using my artful delight super awesome kit.

the base is the most beautiful robin eggs blue from bazzill and the fancy pants memories captured patterned papers give this cool card lots of personality. i am loving the chevron colors and the circles and stars.
the so pretty flower and the chalkboard sticker and the addition of the bit of washi were the perfect embellishments too. i loved making this card too. i love when all comes in together so well without fuzzing much, haha. i wish...this card started in a very different way and after stamping, embossing, stapling... and starting all over again....it turned out to be a whole different story at the end, lol. but then, i do fuzz a lot over everything and it is getting worse as i age, ;p
anyway, if you want to hop over the artful delight blog and join us in our monthly challenge (scrapbooking or cards) you might be the lucky one to win a kit. here is the link to the info you need to participate and link your project.

pretty, pretty card.

once again this is it for today, :p

i hope you have a great week and thank you for stopping by the hut.

we all hope you enjoy it!

our sponsor this week is no other than becci from becci's place and she has been so good as to let us use some of her images this week so we the dt have fun besides letting this week's winner choose her own three digis from the store.
thank you becci, you are so nice. we appreciate you sponsoring this week's challenge.
however, you do not get lucky this week, there is always next week or if you like the digi i am using....
 (sneak peak here)
so much you can't wait, lol,    you can find it here.

anyhow,
the challenge for this week is:
---"CREATE a card or project using the photo below for inspiration"---

hold your horses now,
here is what you have been waiting for:
the project miss flowerdisco spent almost all day coloring, hehe

Petite Paris
Happy
(home decor project)
---remember you can click on the pics for a bigger view---

take a closer look to the beauty of it all

and imagine yourself in paris,

among all these pretty shops, oh my!

i also used the spectrum noirs, and colored pencils for this image. i added some glossy accents for the windows and heart and made the black frame with my cricut fancy frames cartridge.
i had to take a few more pics than normal so could see the project from different angles. i used the easel sizzix die for the back.
nice, huh?--i took me a while because you know my hands are bad, so i worked on this bits by bits. it is a big 5 x7 frame because i printed the digital image big too. but i think it was worth it.

Please, we would love if join us this week in our weekly challenges.

this is becci's shop--our sweet and darling sponsor this week. click on the image to see all the beauties she has in her shop.

PAPER DOLLS DRESS UP SERIES---episode 7

i was really stumped with this assigned page. i wanted to make the super girl but i had made many dolls already and i wanted something different.
here is what i ended up making, :-)
(i will give you a glittery sneak peek first---hehe)

Have a Super Birthday!
3.5" round card
---nice fresh and clean colors---

i looked in my stash of "cuts for another day"
(i keep changing the name because i forget what i called it before, lol)
and found this cut from my world (overlay image #14 using shift) and used it as my base.
i then cut a white circle for the background.
the small stars are from a paper punch and the big yellow one is from pddu pg #50.
the lightning bolt is also from pddu pg #51.
the small circles across the space ship were made with the crop-a-dile :P

and the inside has a stamped sentiment from my pink stamper boy crazy stamp set:
"Have a Super Birthday".
something different from my usual. i like it. :P

let's see what my teammates made for this week with their assigned page.

makes me think of dear potter

and someone had fun at a magic show, cool!

 and another futuristic project.
love this car too and the the background city makes a perfect companion, imo that is. :)

i hope you had some enjoyable time here with these cool projects from the pddu
and....thanks for stopping by the hut, i really enjoy your company!

Daily Life: on monday i went for an upper gi since my gerd has been out of control, and next wednesday i will have gallbladder surgery since i spent the day after mother's day in the emergency room with excruciating pain on my upper abdomen which turned out to be gallstones :(
not feeling too well these days, just that you know.

PAPER DOLLS DRESS UP SERIES---episode 5

hello bloggers and friends

here we are with another mini truckload of projects from the paper dolls dress up cricut cartridge.

i hope you are enjoying it as much as we are making the projects.
they are all for fun and that is what is all about, playing with our toys---our oldie toys that is :P

here is my project for today,
(way ahead for the season-hehe)

Beware October
3.5" x 7" tall
wall hanging/decor
i chose the cat among all the other images i had on the assigned page. i did some wet embossing with a g-studio clear stamp.
anyway, i worked with page #49 and you can find the cat on accesories 1. i made him skinnier with my gypsy and add some stickles for eyes, nose and collar.

the orange banner is a clear stamp from 7gypsies. the greenish banner was cut by hand from a strip of halloween paper which already had the word "beware". the moon and stars are from page #50 accesories 3 shift.

the thick chipboard where i mounted everything is from acm and i purchased these when they were selling thick shaped chipboard albums. i got a bunch of them to alter.

and....i am ready for halloween with this spooky decor :P

---onto my teammates projects now---

thanks you so much for being so nice and taking time of your busy schedules to visit us.
we will be back with episode 6 next wednesday, may 30st.

big hug!

FROM TWINKLE TOES

On Friday my son asked before he left for school if I could make a Thank You card for one of his friends. His friend wrote the play he is in and he wanted to give her a card.

I guess it wasn't my day but one of those days when every little thing goes wrong when crafting.
I had in mind to make an easel card and we all know how easy they are. This one took me over two hours, grrrr!
I kept messing up, dropping things, forgetting this and that....oh my God....I was in such a nasty mood when I finished it was good nobody was around me, lol.

Anyway...I ended up using Twinkle Toes (one of the carts that my son got me on Black Friday) after trying to find another image on the G with no avail.
It is good that I am lucky and I have this many carts but it does get overwhelming trying to remember which cart has this and that and the G search is not the most friendly.
I used other carts for the words.

Thanks so much
an easel card
image #23/stage

I can't believe this card took my patience away.

If I wouldn't have to finish it that day I would have walked away from it, lol

If you notice I wanted embossing and got debossing...the thanks was cut like 5 times until I got the right size, the debossed background was bigger than the layer (had to cut it by hand) and the heaviness of the top kept falling backwards, grr...among many other things....Well, I needed to vent.....thanks for listening :)

Have a great day!
and thanks for stopping by.

WILD CARD WITH LISA/HANUKKAH

I am not in love with this card at all.
I do not like how it came out but for lack of time I didn't make the other version. I wanted to be kind of true to the original colors of blue and silver but for some reason I guess I left my mojo behind today.
This is what I got and please leave me you options
or tips how would you make this one more attractive to the eye.
This is card # 46 from page # 77 of the handbook.

Despite the fiasco I proudly present you

My Hanukkah Card
5 inches
The blue cardstock base is from Debbie Mumm. I believe the silver one is from DCWV.
---
I added Glossy Accent to the star after changing the color a bit with a marker.
I added stickles to the candles and embossed the darker blue paper.
---
This is the inside and I outlined the phrase with my Cri-Kits black pen,
not that you can see it well on the photo.

I know you guys are very sweet and you are going to say it's perfect but I know is not me...not my style.
But...that is what came out today :(

(SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE IT BETTER ARE WELCOME)

UPDATE: My pearls were too big for the star but I found this little rhinestones ones on a pack I have in my stash. They were pumpkins but you can take the tiny jewels apart and that is what I did.
I definitely think it looks much better.
Thanks again for your input ladies.

Here is the new and improved Hanukkah Card
 What do you think?

Hugs to all!

WILD CARD WITH LISA/STAR

Hello everyone
by now you already saw the
announcement and there I am. I wanted a simple photo of me
but among the rest of the DT I looked a little in despair, lol.
But that is ok. That is me, Agnes, aka flowerdisco on the online world. But, I still sent another photo to Robyn to have it changed. So, If you are wondering because you saw the first pic, this is why. I look a bit better on this one, lol.
I first got my online name (flowerdisco) 5-7 years ago. I tried a few different ones on different MB's but I always stocked with flowerdisco and now  it's part of me. It's ok to say is my middle/nickname.

I wanted to make this Star Card in honor of the My Pink Stamper DT
and I hope you like it and they like it too.
This is card #28 and you can find it on page #59 of your cartridge handbook.

My Star Card
5 inches
I used American Crafts cardstock for the pinks and black of it.
The white cardstock was from scraps and is from Wausau, it's a linen cardstcok. The envelope was made using construction paper again and the liner is AC too.
I also used George and Basics shapes for the silhouette frame inside the card since I wanted a black border around it to match the black border of the star. While with George, lol, I picked up some stars too with the silhouette feature and those are the stars you see on each corner of the card. My bow was from some ribbon I got in a package I bought once and I do not think my bow came out too bad either, lol. Of course I had to stickled the moment/card to make the DT ladies and Robyn shine.
