HELLO 31ST...using raven from glitz designs

hi all
and to those who celebrate halloween
i hope you have a great day/night full of fun spookiness.

the street where we live is dark and we do not get many trick or treaters but this year we had a few new faces of what i guess new kids in the neighborhood.
it was fun to see them costumed to what they wanted to be or what their parents thought to be appropriate.

they all wanted to see lulu but lulu decided to be shy and did not want to come down the steps to greet all the noisy trick or treaters, lol.

anyhow and anyway,
here i am with a project for nani ke ola using the sweet raven collection from glitz designs.
since we are a bit late all is not too bad. soon it will be on sale and you can benefit for the tardiness, hehe

Hello 31st
-so much fun-

i started my card with the grayish patterned paper and used my cricut expression and gypsy to add some spider web edges to my card. actually i used the ribbons and rosettes cartridge border feature for this.
i inked all the edges and then adhered the "hello 31st" sticker, the bat (popped on foam tape) and the "it's creepy time" from the "titles and accents" sticker sheet.

a couple of mini staples and another sticker take care of that top right corner.

i cut a piece of a different patterned paper to add behind the grayish one and then i used a printed cardstock from the bits and pieces for the base. then i got thinking i should cut open some of the black triangles, back them with some of the scrap papers from the same collection and this is what i got. very pleased with the outcome.

on this pic you can see the same but facing the opposite direction.

and here you finally see the entire card. my card does not have to be a card. you can customize it to be an embellishment, a cover for your scrapbooking page or even a journaling spot for your album or project life.

i am very happy with raven and all the little extras it offers.

check the whole RAVEN collection and nani ke ola and while you are stopping by i suggest you also subscribe to our newsletter too if you have not done so. you do not want to miss anything. nani ke ola is growing and it will be bringing you lots of fun goodies and inspiration.

-see you later-

and

thanks for stopping by the hut

WE LOVE FALL...using stamps to make a background

hello fellows,
hope you are all doing great.

i want to start congratulating the new artful delight team.
they all are super talented ladies and i am sure you will enjoy their projects too.

-here is my last card for the team using the october card kit-

We Love Fall
3.75" x 5"
let's start with this sneak peek :D

i have been anxious to use that beautiful fabric flower since i got the kit, but because i hardly plan what i am going to do, at the end it did not fit with what i made...but here it is, Finally!!!

the sentiment is from the webster pages sticker sheet. it has so many beautiful sentiments and some you can use as tags too.

i used decorative scissors for the border, haha. they have been collecting dust for a long time now and before they rust on me, well, i decided to give them a shot again. i am glad i did.

in this kit we received two stamp sets and this one i chose for my background is from "paper smooches": gently seasoned.
i used a chalk ink for a soft effect and i did not worried if i did not press hard enough. to the contrary, i am glad i did not 'cause i am very satisfied with the results.

here is a bit of a closer look.
the orange cardstock i used for the base is a bazzill one and it also came in this month's kit.

and a sad good buy or see you later to artful delight.

after today i am just staying with the nani ke ola dt for a bit longer and i am planning to semi retired from blogging for a short while until i get my attic stuff in order and de-clutter as much as i can. this hobby has taken a hold of my life and you know i suffer from chronic pain and can do just so much. i choose to do what i enjoy and put the pain in the back burner for a bit. oh well, this is life and this is what i have to deal with. no pity here, please.
i will do my best to continue with my etsy shop to make a bit extra cash to help my son with his college expenses. and i will also be de-cluttering my craft room to make room for sewing. hehe----all these are just plans and goals that are not written in stone. hehe. maybe i come back next week and say oh no, what was i thinking when i said i was going into hibernation, lol.

you all have a great week and go and see what the new team has in store for you. remember they offer a monthly challenge and a random winner will receive a kit: scrapbooking or card. the choice will be yours.

take care now and i will see you soon, bear with me for a bit.

and, happy halloween you all who enjoy it.

AUTUMN DAYS...mini trifold book

hello all, happy fall again

the cooler days went away for now and the days have been so nice.
no need to move out of state just yet, lol.

here i have a project i made for the artful delight blog. our term is almost over, one more week (next week) and i am feeling sad, :(
this has been one of the greatest teams i have ever been in and you all know i had a few disappointments lately, hehe.
i will miss this group very much so.

but anyway,
here is the mini trifold book where you can add some journaling or pictures or both and carry it with you or have it displayed at home.

Autumn Days
-mini trifold book-
this is the first peek at it, hehe

i used my cricut gypsy for the welding of some up-side down pennants to make the base of the trifold. i then used one of the bazzill cardstock to cut it out.

-all the supplies used in the making of this project are from the october card kit below with exception of the wooden polaroid frame (from the sept. kit) and the hearts (from a punch i own). of course the sewing was done with my sewing machine and the thread is from my stash, lol.

i cut the individual patterned papers a bit smaller than the base after adding an outline which i turned backwards to show the other side of the paper.

the "arrow" shaped paper clip holds all the sections together.

here is another view of the trifold.

hope you enjoy it and give you some ideas.
any questions, please just ask away, :)

also, if you have time to join our monthly challenge do so now because time is running out. you all know if you win, you will receive a kit of your choice: scrapbooking or card...hoping you join us.

and....
thanks for stopping by and i hope you have a great week too!

-here is the card kit pic and within the link to the challenge-
nice, huh?
:D

AUTUMN MEMORIES...gift box and mini banner

hello all,
hope you are doing fab and enjoying the cooler weather. as for me i think i am getting tired of it, lol, and i am already dreading the snow. but, is nothing i can do about it but enjoy it while is there, right?
anyhow, today i am sharing a gift box with gift: a mini banner.
actually, i am thinking to make more of these cuties to give to my thanksgiving dinner company as a way of gratitude.

Autumn Memories
-hexagon gift  box-
i used my cricut expression and the life is a party cricut cartridge to make the gift box and to cut the side panels with patterned paper. i cut it at 7.75" and used the brown bazzill super sturdy cardstock that came with my card kit from artful delight.
i believe the color name is "candy bar" like a hershey chocolate bar (my fav chocolate in the whole wide world).
actually, all the supplies for the box are from the card kit.

after i cut my box, i cut the panel sides and used that lovely leaves paper from basic grey called peach cobbler  (i do not understand how  they called it peach cobler but hey, that is not for me to ponder over it, hehe)
you can see the wooden elements here. they are such a great accent.

the mini banner is just adorable. it turned out super cute. i used all the lawn fawn sequences and threaded them with that mustard color floss (from my stash).

here is a better look---i couldn't take a pic while hanging. not good light in the house.

and so sorry i have so many pics, (trying to get you a good visual despite the conditions)

hope you enjoyed my project for the artful delight design team today.

i want to remind you and/or invite you to our monthly challenge following this month's sketch. artful delight also carries a scrapbooking kit and therefor they also have a monthly scrapbooking sketch for you to follow. no excuses, hehe
the prize is a kit..nothing to loose about but have fun and hoping you win.
here is the link again:

have a great week!

I'AM SO THANKFUL..new october card kit

this month's card kit from artful delight is full of fall colors and i love it.
we even got two stamp sets in this one, wohoo!
i am showing you the mini mess i made making my card at the end.... hard to choose what paper i wanted to use but i ended up using this floral from little yellow bicycle called fall floral. love the rich colors of it.

I'm Thankful
3" x 4.5"
the base of the card is from bazzill and i also love that mustard color, actual name is "golden coins". the bottom part looks a bit crooked in the pic but i give you my word is not like that in real person. when i shoot in macro mode, even the tiny details get exaggerated, lol

i added some zig zags with my sewing machine, of course. the wooden elements are from this oct kit too. i inked them a bit with brown ink.
the mesh is super cool. it is not a common one. the texture is rough but so neat. i added a piece of it as you can see. :)

with this month's sketch in mind, :D, i added a piece of the same cardstock (i used the back side of it) and stamped one of the sentiments from the lawn fawn stamp set incluced in the kit. the other stamp i was telling you in the beginning it is from paper smooches. i stitched the sides.

hope you give a chance to our monthly challenge. this is the sketch you need to follow and the link to artful delight.

i did not make a video of the contents this month because no one is really watching them and it is not worthy all the time i put into it. but that is ok. here is a pic of it.
if you win the challenge you also win a kit of your choice. you will be really happy with any kit you choose: scrapbooking or card.

THE BEST PART OF ME IS YOU...using the finley collection

i have been so bad with this new dt--

anyway, i said i loooove this finley collection from glitz designs that i am using for and from
"nani ke ola scrapbooking"
if you haven't checked out this new store yet, now is the time. the store is brand new and the owner miss jennifer has a vision for her store and i am happy to help put as much as i can. some of the dt are doing marvelous things with mixed media. i will stick with my specialty (cards) because it is my comfort zone and let them shine in theirs.
:D jennifer is also bringing some international products to the store. and she is having a sale right now with some of the proceeds going to charity. check it out here.

anyway, things at home have been a bit hectic and i did not make more time to make any other projects for nani ke ola until now.
BUT, i am happy to introduce you to a beautiful and colorful card made with finley.

The Best Part of me is You
4" x 4.75"
these patterned papers are gorgeous, the colors are just fabulous :)

a bit of info about what i did here: i cut the base for my card with my old but trusty cricut expression using the fancy frame cartridge. i used the hide contour feature to hide the inside window for the base and then cut another one with the window at 3.75". when you see the striped paper, you are looking at the base and not at a rectangle piece of pp. hehe. hard to tell, i know.

the circle sticker (sentiment) is mounted of foam tape and inked too, of course, i live to ink, :P
this arrow sticker, oh men! this arrow sticker, hehe: i fell in love with it from the beginning and had been trying to incorporate it in my other two finley projects with no success until now that is. isn't it gorgeous? i love it!

here is the entire card for your enjoyment, wink!.

so pretty it can be framed indeed.

see you soon

and

thanks so much for stopping by!
