THE CARD I MADE FOR MY SON'S BIRTHDAY

This card is from the Wild Card Cricut Cartridge, page 31, cut at 7-1/2 inches
I used the red Couture Cardstock I received from the My Pink Stamper giveaway
and I love, absolutely love how my Cricut cut it
The golden one from where I made the bow from is textured cardstock from Die Cuts with a View and it cut well too but I wanted to cut the "for you" words and it wasn't coming out too well so I decided to use my red marker then for the inside of the card.

This is my son yesterday morning a bit upset from me taking photos for my albums.

THESE ARE THE RULES:
Use a christmas image from any Cricut cartridge and use the cut in a non traditional way? An example would be....

Post a link to your site or message board post in the comment section.

HERE IS MY PROJECT:
I ALMOST DID NOT MAKE IT TO POST ON TIME
IT READS:
"I can not BEAR to b"
and in the inside reads
"without you".
The "BEAR" is from Joys of the Season Cricut Cartridge.

HIDE CONTOUR FEATURE IN CRICUT DESIGN STUDIO

Just Venting
   (*_*,)

I totally love this feature in the Cricut Design Studio and I totally miss it on the Gypsy and I say this again:
I would also love to be able to control the speed on the G and the CDS.

I have been trying something on the G and finally I had to go on CDS to do it cause the darn feature.  I also get very upset when I ruin lots of paper (when using CDS or the G) because I can't control the speed.

It makes me so mad!

PAISLEY JOY CARD

I used my Gypsy again and I cut the card at 4.37"H and the cat from layers 1.
I also cut a piece of cardstock to use as a base to adhere my black cat. This same piece of cardstock was glued to the back of the front side of the card. I inked all my cardstock, stamped the word JOY from one of my G Studio clear stamps, puched it out with my 1" Fiskars circle punch and attached it to the ribbon. I also did some faux stitching in white with my Sakura Gelly Roll pen on the front of the card.
This card will fit on a 5x5 square envelope that you can handmade.

Enjoy and Thanks for stopping by!

LULU'S NEW OUTFIT

I took Lulu today to the Vet to have her stitches removed. I asked the staff to put her on the scale and she gained three pounds already. No more pounds for her :) Now, I will feed her 1/2 cup twice a day.
Lulu loves to eat.
Anyhow, to celebrate the day I went to Ross and I found this gorgeous outfit.
Isn't Lulu adorable?

SWEET TREATS FAVOR BOX

This is a fun cartridge, I can see using it for many occasions.
I used my Gypsy again for this project. I am slowly falling in love with it, lol.

What I did:
I took a 12 x 12 piece of American Crafts cardstock and
cut the box base from page 47 of the Sweet Treats booklet at 4.68"H x 11.23"W.
Then, I cut the same box on designer paper from Die Cuts with a View: Peppermint Twist Collection (from last year) and cut on the scored lines to separate them. I inked the base and the designer paper.
I love inking; I love the definition that it gives to a project.
Then, I glued those pieces of the designer paper onto the box base.
I cut a strip of the same designer paper, at 12"L x 1/2", inked it and used it for the handle. I attached the handle with two small brads.
I cut 2 strips of the same red AC cardstock I used for the box base at 3"L x 3/4"W and,
2 two more at 2-1/4"L x 3/4"W. Then
took my "Sunburst" Fiskars punch and punched and inked those strips. I glued them at the bottom of the box.
I cut a piece of the same red cardstock at 3" x 2-1/4' to give the box bottom a bit more of stability. I used glue to attach it.
I punched two buttons with a Martha Stewart punch and threaded some red twine on the button holes and attached the buttons to the box bow with Glue Dots.
I used two Fiskars punches: a scallop one and a circle one to  make the front embellishment, paper pieced it, inked it and stamped it with a G Studio clear stamp. I did that for the front and the back. The size of the scallop is 2" and the circle is 1-1/2".
Then, I decided it needed a tag, so I cut the tag from the same page 47, at 2.16"H x 1.29" W.  I cut two sets because I wanted to glue the backs together so I would have the texture of the red cardstock on both sides and then I hand-wrote a "To and From" with black ink.
