A SNOWMAN GIFT TAG...using clear stamps

my goodness, is almost christmas and even i am happy to celebrate the season, i am still very sad for all the tragedy around us. why can't we live in peace and love each other and care for each other?
my heart can't stop aching.

anyway, i had to come and take my mind off things so i made this gift tag to share and for my son's b-day gift on saturday.

this stamp set i used  is from my mind's eye and is called:

"winter wonderland"
---i will call my tag the same---
you all know i love my cricut but that i love to try new things too and here i stepped out to join the millions who are using stamps as die cuts and coloring them. yes, i know i am super behind the scenes but that is me, lol.. not trendy at all but when i like something then, i will join too.

the "vintage christmas" patterned papers are also from my mind's eye.

for the snowman i used versafine onyx black ink, i then embossed it with clear embossing powder and proceeded to color the tiny details with some markers from american crafts i had in my stash. all went well until i got to the nose since it was already embossed, lol. (blushing here)--- i popped him up with foam tape.

i also used the clear embossing powder with a snowflake stamp (from the same collection) on some of the snowflakes that were already on the patterned paper.
i topped them with tiny dots of diamond stickles.

the border punches are from martha stewart (doilies and traditional scallops). the bluish snowflakes cuts are from a small ek success christmas punch set. the "to" is from the same mme stamp collection.

now, the top corners were done with an old fiskars punch i have. i thought it was quite the perfect touch to add the white organza ribbon, and here you have a pic of that too.
hope you like my "stepping out of the box" project here.
if i say it myself i would say:
"not bad at all, agnes, not bad at all! ---hehe
 it is very pretty.

PSSS!!!---you can find that awesome clear stamp at my new design team home: the pumpkin spice shop. here is the direct link to it: http://www.shoppumpkinspice.com/winter-wonderland-stamps.html

if i do not come back before christmas :
"i am wishing you all the joy peace can bring to our sore hearts and souls!"
keep safe.

Love you all

Guess Who Made it to the New 2013 Design Team...

for the fabulous crafty shop
Pumpkin Spice
---even the name sounds delicious, doesn't it?---

in case you do not know the pumpkin spice blog or the pumpkin spice shop i tell you right now i am very happy to be able to introduce you to both. i know when i do online shopping i rather  do it with someone who i have been referred to. somewhere where i know i will be treated nice, somewhere i can have fun with, play with challenges, hop some blogs, be with a bunch of friends. that is what you will find with us. a nice place to play, to shop, to share and more.

anyhow, i will be working next to a group of  super creative and above all, friendly ladies. i am very happy to be able to learn from them and with them while challenging myself to new ventures. i am hoping while entertaining you  i will also  be polishing my skills.

here is the link to the Pumpkin Spice Blog and from there you can check the shop. the pumpkin spice shop deal with many, many retailers and if you do not see what you are looking for right there you can always email denine and she will do whatever she can to find it for you.

now, wish me well and as i always say: "just good vibes are welcome, the rest will be rejected", lol.

thank you again for all your comments and love and visits and the well wishes.

happy holidays from my hut to yours!

DAILY LIFE: I can't wait for my son to come home for christmas and as i say this my heart also fills up with pain and sadness for those families whom have lost their kids, moms, dads and family in the latest catastrophe in newtown, connecticut. may god be with them and give them strength and hope they need at this time of sorrow. did you read one of the 6 years old, emily parker, was a card maker?

MORE POINSETTIAS...this time, using wrap it up

i made twelve and put them throughout the living room, kitchen and dining room.

they are not perfectly made because what i first had in mind was to hang them on the front fence but then, we were expecting rain and i changed my mind, lol.

have fun making yours, they do add a beautiful touch to your house holiday decorations.
and once again,
---see you later---

A CHRISTMAS DECORATION TABLE TOP...using winter frolic

hello and welcome to flowerdisco's scrap hut.
i am hoping you are well. not much around here but that last night we started decorating the house for the holidays. we bought a new artificial tree (due to allergies, we haven't have a real tree in years), new led lights for it (which i like but not as much as the warm glow of the traditional ones) and a few new ornaments. we decorated the bushes outdoors and had trouble with the old lights (that is the bad thing about them: they do not last too long) but managed to cover some bushes. we still have to put lights on this awesome evergreen i have by the front door, but we will get to it before we go to pick up our son on the 20th.

anyway, this i made a few months back when i was submitting for the cricut magazine but i really can't remember if i ever submitted it or not, lol.

Joy to the World
this was made re-purposing one of two small frames i had. i had reclaimed the other one and had made THIS last year.

you can find these cuts on:
carolers: page #45/overlay #18
christmas tree: page #55/overlay #28
phrase: page #70/overlay #43
i do not remember what holly i used but there is one on page #60---  :-)

and for the backing i used one of the fancy frames cartridge stands/easels.
i love this feature on this fancy frames cartridge. your work---especially your cards---become a piece of decoration on your table tops, bookcases, curios, shelves and more.
 cool!

YOU HAVE A GOOD DAY NOW AND THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!
