A CHALLENGE: USE SKETCH

a happy hello to you all

i am there every other wednesday but the challenges are weekly challenges and they run for two weeks. so there is plenty of time for you join us. actually, we would love it if you do...the more the merrier, right?  always have nice sponsors so  the ride is well worthy.
our sponsor for this week is:
http://whimsystamps.com/
5 digi's of winner's choice

May You Find Peace and Comfort
4.25" x 5.5"
since the death of my son's best friend (a 20 yrs. old college student) i realized i do not have any cards for a time of sorrow. i really hope i do not have to use this card any soon, nonetheless, it is a beauty.
don't you agree?
sorry i have to pat myself on the back sometimes :D
---i love the font on this sentiment---

the rose is a sticker and is gorgeous.
i chose it because it has the distressed look i was incorporating onto my card.
the doily is a die cut die and the pink border a border/edge punch.

i also did the sewing machine zig zag that i have been incorporating in my projects lately.
i believe it adds so much to a project.

actually the sentiment can be used for an everyday reminder to self
---"may you find peace and comfort"... in everyday---

we would love you to see what you make. click here for a couple of guidelines and to link your project. you will also want to see what my teammates have made for this challenge: they do pour their souls out while making their projects.
for this challenge, we are supposed to use a sketch but other than that, it is a pretty easy going challenge...
here is the sketch just to give you an idea of what you will be following
see? so pretty but yet so simple. the rest is up to you.

this is the list the
supplies i used
for my card, in case you are interested.

patterned paper and rose sticker:     carta bella (beautiful moments)
doilie:     sizzix die
border:      fiskars border/edge punch
gray enamel dot on the left:     my mind's eye (the sweetest thing-honey collection)

i am always happy to see you around...do not be shy and at least click on the share button, if you like my project. let others see what we paper crafters are all about.
*-*

thanks so much and  maybe the sentiment i used today
"May you Find Peace and Comfort"
will just do that for us today and every other day.
hugs to all!

A SNEAK PEEK...

of a project i will use for my first post on my new design team home
with Regina Easter, yay!
i am a bit intimidated by the awesome work these ladies at the cutting cafe put out there for you all to see. i almost quit even before starting because i was like, "no way i can even think of trying to fill these ladies steps", but regina patted my back and said "you are going to be fine" and i decided to stay. my term will be for 4 months and i will try my best to not let the team down.
let me introduce myself to you as one of the new ladies at

hehe
and this is a sneak peek of my project
i will be posting the rest on may 5th

do not think i am getting to greedy with these dt's, i already thought of it but some of these are for short term and it will keep my mind busy and out off trouble.

thank you for all the good vibes, the negative ones are being rejected---wink!!!

A PUMPKIN SPICE BLOG PROJECT...using different patterned papers

hello fellow crafters,
how are you all doing today?

i have a cute card to share with you. i bet it will brighten your day!
i used one of my stickers from the happy days collection from echo park to make this happy card.

i know this collection is a bit old but i loved the retro looking and i had to have it :D---you know how it is, lol.
but i had to look for some inspiration on the web because nothing was juicing my mojo, hehe
 (i found my inspiration here)

all the patterned papers are from echo park (scoot collection) but the black and white polka dot which is from my mind's eye. the yellow enamel dot is from a package of yummy goodies i  won from participating in this blog challenges. you can see all i received here.

i think it turned out really pretty. the enamel dot looks like a candy itself. i die cut that little tag from a sizzix die and stamped it with the cute sentiment from a set i have at home. i thought it was just perfect for this "any occasion card". i found the twine here...lots of colors for every taste--wink!

so happy you stopped by and i sure hope you enjoyed my project because it was done with you in mind...too help fueling your inspiration.
oh!, talking about inspiration, remember that "EVERYDAY" you will find a new project at the
---every single project it is made for your inspiration---

we also have weekly fun challenges for you have more fun and the chance to win some goodies, like i did. check it out.

thanks again for visiting
and
have a great day!

hello all,

here is my project to link to the pumpkin spice blog

A Money Bag
i thought this will put a smile to some who have to pay back to the government or the ones who will get some green back
5.45 inches tall
hehe
this cutie is from the smiley cards cricut cartridge: image #34 on the overlay

she is such a happy bag!
hehe

note: the shadow feature did not match the die cut..i do not know if all are working like mine. we received this smiley cards digi cart from cricut free of charge. i do not remember when or how.  if  you find out yours do not match either, now you know you are not alone :(

the patterned papers are from my mind's eye: oh la la collection and the glittery one is from dcwv.
i just added a diamond rhinestone and the golden color trim for the bow.

now you see you do not have to make a masterpiece to join in our challenges. a winner is randomly picked and you always have the chance at the end of the month to win some nice prizes.
check it all out

thank you for stopping by
enjoy your sunday!

EMBOSS IT... and coloring

welcome i am happy you are here and we invite you to participate. ---all the details will be at the end of this post---

 this week's challenge is :
 EMBOSSING IT!
Create a project and include any type of embossing
Sponsor: Limited Runs Digital Stamps - 3 digis of winner's choice
http://limitedrunsstamps.blogspot.com/

i chose the pretty june bug from our darling sponsor's shop

Be Unique
here hair is gray but it looks like purple and i wanted it to look like purple because... i would love to die my hair purple but if i do, my husband will have a heart attack, lol. i do not know why :D.
i used the spectrum noirs markers to color this girl. as you can see not much shading/blending again because i am getting a bit frustrated with it, hehe but i still have fun coloring. i will keep practicing as time permits but i am thinking i might have to invest in a few more copics: i just own two---hehe but  for now this is what we get, :D

if you look close you can see on the blue paper i subtle stamped some clouds. i loved how it turned out. another technique that i think it came out really nice was the honey comb embossing. and,  i love the digital  image. i see myself in it, , gray haired, and mesmerized with the lightning bugs, my bell buttons pants from back in the era.... and still amazed by nature...awww! how cool!

the sentimen couldn't be be any more fitting:
"Be Unique, Be Unforgettable, Be You"

well, no more to say but to  remind you we would love if you join us. the sponsor is giving away 3 digis and the winner has the right to pick which ones they like. yay!!!
nikki the owner is a super nice lady and she has been so generous to provide images for us (the design team) to use...not all do that. in case you did not know that little fact, hehe. sooooo...thank you again nikki, thanks you so much, i had fun coloring your image.

FLOWER GANG

you all know we are taking a break at sketchy friday but we do have a sketch up and you can still play along and link your project to win some digi's from sk digis. if you do not have any digis, you can click here and find some you like in the freebie section.

here is what i made

Listen Closely
5" x 7" card
i think i am getting a bit better coloring but it takes me too long---
i have to take so many breaks in between because of my pain but oh well....it is not like i do it for a living, :)
these flowers are called: flower gang and again, they are from sk digis.
spectrum noirs were used for coloring.

---the clouds are also from sk dgis---

i tried to do something different on the grass, but i am not too pleased with the results. btw, i covered it on purpose not because the back one was uglier, lol...
the sentiment is a chipboard or  "thick board "as i call it and the green scalloped border is a sticker. the other two borders were paper punched. i also embossed the purple border.

Here is the sketch and if we have more than 20 links we will select the TOP 3 to win a spot as guest designer.  We will also have our weekly random winner as usual.
cool sketch, right?

one more view of my card
oh...i almost forgot the inside of the card---since i do not do that often any longer: i found the sentiment on the internet and i thought it match the melody rose one (chipboard on the front)

Supplies Used:
patterned papers:     blue polka dot and pink (border) are from mme, orange and yellow from dcwv.
green scalloped border and chipboard sentiment:     melody rose
color alcohol markers:     spectrum noirs
adhesive:     i used scotch's pink atg

well, this is it for now....

thanks so much for stopping by my blog !

see you around...take care in the meantime :)

HELLO ALL and a HUGE welcome to my blog...
we at the pumpkin spice blog want to thank you for joining us in our monthly blog hop.
so happy you decided to hop.

today's challenge is all about eggs, hehe, yeap,  you read it right: eggs and we want you to think out off the box with your eggs, lol... this is too funny, isn't it? hehe...anyhow,  do what ever you want to do with your eggs. my eggs are expired already. i am a pre-menopause women and eggs are extinct under my hood, hehe, but nevertheless i look for eggs and i found some in a cricut cartridge. and here is my project because my eggs are:

Totally Eggs-treme
5 inches tall
noticed the eggs are eggs-treme on my card and not eggs-tinct like in real life, lmbo with this one. i am so silly today.

here are two more pics:
i love that flower, all the flowers are stickers and i added the enamel dots on the center.

i also added some sewing machine zig zag stitching for some added texture.

hope you have fun hopping with us just make sure you do not crack your eggs, lol

PSSSS!----i will randomly choose a follower for a small goodie pack. i will announce the winner when i post the next pumpkin spice challenge. you will have three days to claim your prize.

your next stop is: TANYA

Supplies Used:
patterned designer papers:     cosmo cricket/earth love (orange); echo park/scoot (green, beige and blue)
stickers:     blue flowers/echo park (happy days)
yellow enamel dots:     my mind's eye/the sweetest collection (honey love)
cricut cartridge:     spring holiday cards
---others supplies used are from my forever stash---

HANG IN THERE...

sketchy friday....
will be skipping this week's challenge and it will resume on april 19th due to a
SPRING BREAK!
however we have a new sketch for you to play and link your projects while we do what we need to do.
more info here. the sketch will be at the end of this post.

thank you to all of you who are supporting us in this endeavor,  for your understanding!
--thank you, thank you--

here is a project using moses the monkey, one of the SK DIGIS.

Hang in There
(until we come back)
4 inches
this shaped card is the doilies one from the cricut cart named wild card

i fuzzed cut the monkey, added some glossy accents and some stickles after coloring him with my spectrum noirs. i think he came out pretty handsome, lol.

these papers are almost vintage, hehe...nah! but they are a few years old. they are from k&co and dcwv. the sentiment is from a retired set of my pink stamper. her stamps are coolectibles now and rare to find but i found out you still can find some here.

well, and this is it for now.. i hope you do not forget
 the sketchy friday challenge team,
be sure we will continue bringing your our best. anyway, if you follow me, you will see our come back, :D

until later!

and another big thank you for the visit,
you know how much i appreciate you stopping by.

A PUMPKIN SPICE BLOG PROJECT...scrapbooking using a journaling card

hello all,
this is me Agnes
(aka flowerdisco)

thanks for allowing me to share with you a project i made using the photo freedom kit by echo park. i had mentioned earlier this year (on my blog) that my scrapbooking fun must not be put aside any longer. since i started this hobby,  the card making has consumed my life entirely. BUT, a lot has changed since then (2007)  and i am finding this scrapbooking method (project style) so easy to use i must start putting my memories together already. :P this does not mean AT ALL, i won't make more cards, no-no-no...it means i will have more things to play with, :D

let me show you my project or "section" or  journaling card (as they call it) of what eventually be added to my scrapbooking adventures.

Oh Snap!
4" x 6"
(what is written on my face is my watermark, lol, too late now to make it more transparent).
--sorry, i did not mean to scare you off with a close up of my not so pretty face, lol, but i have to start somewhere--

for this section i used    DISCOVER     (item: PFTS4003)

i know there are lots of scrappers who have more experience than me making this type of scrapbooking (or any type of scrapbooking) but this is my style and all you need is yours (your style) to have fun with it too. it is time we start printing all the photos we have stored in our computer and make them look even prettier with some info (journaling) on the side, :)

let me show you a few more pics of my freckels, did i say freckles? wink-wink...that is what i will be later on, journaling about it.  this photo shows the so many i can't count them. i guess they come from being on the sun all day during my younger years in the island. no regrets, tough.

i used here some of the below stickers from the same kit.

and on this one i also squeezed in...
a tag (the perfect day) from the sweet collection from my mind's eye.

here is the cover of the entire
Today's Story Kit
i have linked what i could to make it easy for you to find at the
shop pumpkin spice
(where all items have been already marked down 30% off for you delight, wink-wink)

and, my fellow crafters, this is it for today. i hope i entertained you for a bit and even put a smile on your day.

do not forget our weekly challenge:
"Spring Animals or Insects (Use your Imagination)
who can resist sweet spring animals and insects.. even bees and caterpillars are cute, right?!"

i have to thank you so very much for joining me here today., i appreciate your visits.

Take care now and go on and have a Beautiful Day!

hey,
do not forget to
