MASON JAR...trendy mini album

hello to all,
again, i want to start thanking you all who still visit my blog and those who have the time to comment.
i know i have been neglecting this blog for a while now and even i thought i would have more time now that my son went back to college, i have not.
i have also neglected so many things in my household and bit by bits i am getting to them. i know you all understand we must have our priorities in order.
BUT,
in the bits of time i have for my lovely hobby, i like to share what i make with you all.
this is an album i have been working on. you all know i am not too trendy, but i like these jars and they seem to be popping all over. i chose this die cut from the doodlecharms cartridge (the same die cut i used HERE) to make the base for my album.

i do not have a title yet for my album cover but i am leaning towards
"Sweet Jar"
hehe
7 inches tall
the patterned papers are from dcwv berry street farmer's market. i like this paper texture very much. it resembles fabric and even when you touch it you get a different feel than regular cardstock. i thought it was ideal for the album's style of a mason jar.
the cherries are from lyrical letters, image#47 of the overlay, and it was cut at 3.25" high.

the cherries are mounted on thick chipboard, the brown stems were covered with puffy paint and heated up. the leaves were wet embossed with clear thick embossing powder.
the pocket was traced and cut by hand, and if you take a closer look, you will see i have machine stitched on all the paper edges. a bit of diamond stickle was added to the cherries.

those tags are from a jolee's collection called french general and they too have the look and feel of fabric. actually, i think they have a fabric lining on them.
the album was bounded using the bind it all.
the album has 4 pages you can use front and back what makes it 8 pages PLUS the back of the cover and the front of the back cover  makes it a 10 pages in total. Plenty of room for pictures, journaling and memorabilia.
i am happy how is turning out and i will post more pics when finished.

in the meantime,

this is how my craft room looks while in the process of making a project. :P
but at the end, i organize everything and start all over. lol.
can't leave it a mess.
my curtains at this time are two gray t-shirts, lol. they filter the light just right until i get something else or make them into real curtains and not "wanna be's".
(this window faces west and i get so much sunlight, it hurts my eyes).
i know i can change the furniture around but i am really happy so far, with this layout.

well, this is it for now.
i hope you get some ideas from this album and maybe make some and share the love.

take care!
and thank you for stopping by the hut.
