SAINT PATRICK'S DAY CARD...using digital images

welcome to another

"Happy St. Patrick's day"

and of course, we are to create a project including something to do with this so popular irish holiday.

first, i want to thank our sponsor for this week's challenge
"MIRIAM'S CRAFTING SUPPLIES"
miriam will be donating TEN sets of pearls to a lucky participant
-----NOT ONE, NOT TWO BUT TEN SETS OF PEARLS--wohoo!---

thanks miriam, thank you so much for your kindness!!!

now, is my take on this week's challenge...this card was such a pleasure to make.
i was inspired by a layout i saw online and being me, i had to twist it to my liking and purposes and, make it a flowerdisco's one, hehe

Be Unique, Be Unforgettable, Be you
You are a Super Star
5" x 7"
i played with a variety of techniques on this card: stamped background, machine stitches, washi tape, mixed inks for "Be Unique, Be Unforgettable, Be you"...a whimsical designs stamps sentiment. and since we do not see the mix of inks often, to me it shows well the meaning of the sentiment i chose.
note: one of the "be" is missing on the pennant sentiment...i know. i had to leave it behind in the stamping  process.

i added a few more cute details to this card to add even more fun. check them out below.
the tiny circles are representing the gold from the legendary irish legend. they are the negatives of a border punch.
i also had fun choosing the brilliant colors. they remind me of the rainbow colors.

the washi tape on the top left and bottom corners, were plain ones but after being stamped with a yellow dye ink, they are not plain anymore :--)...i also added some chevron lines and i had to add a star sticker because "You are a Super Star" (my other used sentiment from whimsical designs).
i used foam dots to raise the diamond patterned paper from its base.

and at last, i show you the entire card.
the piggy with the so pretty clover is a new digital image in my collection. i used paint, a computer program, to add buckets of color to the most pretty hog girl in the whole-wide world.
the purple stamp shaped frame is from a die i own.

so what do you think?
---i think is super cute and it was definitely a delight to make---

why don't you leave me a comment for a chance to win a goodie bag?..
i would love if you become a follower but i do not require it at this time.

this was so much fun  a st. patrick's day challenge and remember, miriam --- our sponsor for this week---, is giving away ten sets of pearls. you can use them in any of your project and maybe even share some with your darling friends.
you will also get some HUGE inspiration, since my team mates are a group of very talented ladies.

  4. Hi, you left a comment on my blog asking how I get on with using the distress marker pens. I like them because one end to me is just like (and feels to use ) a paint brush and I can get a nice even sweep with it. Hope that helps. hugs Mrs A.
