hope you all had a great 4th of july weekend.
we had a blast and we even had time to go away for the day.
and because of that i am super late with my project for the cutting cafe. i normally post on sunday mornings for the cafe but not today...so sorry
our assignment for this week is the dresser OR the card organizer box but since i saw this dresser i fell in love with it and had to choose it for my project today... this 3 dimensional dresser box is sooo cute. you can use it to save your pretties. i was going to make some tags to put inside, ready for any occasion, but did not have time.
A Pretty Dresser and a Pretty Dress
3.25" x 3.25"
so cute!
i used some mme designer patterned paper i had in my supplies to cover the thick cardstock i used for the base.
i wanted to make sturdy because i am planning to use it as a gift with the tags i did not have time to make today.
the drawers open and close nicely but because i had used the thick cs i had a bit of a problem and i cut them off. now, they open and close smoothly.
the dress is also from a cutting cafe file. i colored it in with markers: a light gray and pink. it reminds me of a dress i once had when growing up.
the hanger is from tim holtz and i thought it added that additional touch to this project.
the pretty knobs were given to me in a rak not to long ago.
i hope this is a good pic.
isn't it adorable?
i think it is...:P
remember you can always click on my pics for a bigger view.
this dresser box template comes with 12 sentiments too. it measures approx 3" x 3.25" not including the trim i used in the rear top (regina used hers on the front) and the file formats are: pdf, wpc, svg and mtc BUT you all know by now i cut these cuties by hand and this file couldn't be easier to cut by hand if you cut by hand like me.
i bet my teammates, including regina, have made outstanding projects with their chosen project.
do you want to see what i am talking about?
the cutting cafe blog has so many projects waiting to be seen, :P
lots of inspiration you do not want to miss.
thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!
