a few months back one of my nieces gave birth to a beautiful baby girl she named
Isabella.
Isabella's baby shower theme included owls along with other woodland creatures and critters. i had the pleasure to make the invites showcasing an owl.
the family did such a good job decorating the place.
it was so very pretty!
these woodland animals i used for my project today will be perfect for isabella's nursery room decor. yay!
they sure will add some flair.
and, i know they will love they are handmade.
i hope you like them as well.
-a hedgehog, and owl and a fox-
-each frame measures 6 inches-
and if you are into sewing and quilts and great whimsical designs, check shari's blog.
a bit about my project:
the base for the frames is thick chipboard covered with a miss elizabeth's designer paper i found in my enormous paper stash.
and the white outline on the frame was cut on another thick white color chipboard.
(i used my cricut explore and design space for all my die cutting)
the hedgehog measures 4-1/4" tall, the owl 4-3/4" and the fox around 5-1/2".
i individually duplicated and welded each image to make a base for each animal.
i added some pink chalk to their cheeks and also hand punched the bows a few times and stacked them for dimension.
what do you think? i think they turned out so very pretty.
oh...this bundle is called: woodland characters and it comes not just in the cricut design space format i used but it is also compatible with other die cutters and their software.
and... if you do not own a die cutter "no problem", you can always print the designs.
i am making this post short so you can enjoy the pic and remember
you can share/link this project and/or all of our projects on different social media sites so others can enjoy them too.
and again,
thanks a bunch for visiting our blog!
