THIS IS WHAT I WOULD LOOK LIKE....if i was a homo floresiensis

which became extinct just  17,000 years ago.

"As a Homo floresiensis, you live just 95,000 to 17,000 years ago on an island in what is now Southeast Asia.  You are very small…with a brain only about a third the size of modern humans. But you make tools, control fire, hunt a variety of animals, and your small size helps you survive on an island with limited resources".
this was taken on our recent visit to washington dc
at the David H. Koch Hall of Human Origins at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.

they had other homo species, but there were lots of people at the museum and we just had time for one photo.

this lady was also a homo floresiensis, :)

and this one below is our closest extinct human relative

  1. Maybe it's just me but they look about as normal as some I've seen. If I saw someone on the street that looked like the homo floresiensis photos you took, I probably wouldn't give them a second glance!

You on the other hand,I would look at, simply because you're beautiful and I would probably feel your kindred soul!

  2. Interesting, I love history, but I don't remember hearing about this(I probably have, but it's been so long lol). I'll have to look into it. It is always neat to learn new things. :) I love all the pictures. Looks like you had a great time. What a great trip. I hope one day I am able to visit DC. Me and my sister always say we want to take a trip there. Hopefully soon we can make that happen. Thanks for sharing :)
