MY MEMORIES....playing with digital

some of you might have noticed my side bar with an ad for a digital software program.
i was contacted and asked to try the program (this was last year and now is when i have time ---shame on me)--- they even provided me with an extra software to give away. AND, you can have your own blinkie too and offer.

 Awesome-Awesomeness!!!

this company is called

and i have been playing with it for a couple of days.
i am very impressed with the "easiness" of this program. i was a bit apprehensive at first since i do not do digital and i am not computer savvy and my son is away...hehe... he was the one who helped me with these issues. :b

if you go to their website they even have a "free trial" where you can see if is something you would like to acquire and then, you can even get a discount when you click on their blinkie on my side bar.
yes!
I recommended this software for all of us who save our photos for "another day", waiting for that "perfect time" to paper scrapbook, lol.
This is going to help me/us tremendously in that problematic area where people like me/us are known for, hehe.
"PROCRASTINATION"

and, -----while waiting for that perfect day, we can share and store our photos, looking mighty good in a digital album. we can even get ideas for when we do have the time for paper. wink! and that is not all,  you also can make cards and much more.

i do not want to tell you everything this program comes with at once, because there is so much, you have to see it for yourself. ---so go ahead and click on their link and try it for yourself.

----i do have to tell you my laptop is very sick with a HUGE black and blue on the hard drive since i dropped an iris case heavy with scrap papers on top of it. i had all my photos there and until my son gets home on march, i have not many photos of us to share. i did take one of miss lulu to practice with---.

Spoiled Rotten

this is an already made template and everything was just too easy to do.
all i did was changed the text orientation, add miss lulu's photo and add the frame.

i wanted to start showing you something easy...for your benefit and mine, lol.

sooooo, what are you waiting for?????--hehe
go ahead, do not be afraid (like me) and click HERE to start playing and falling in love with how easy this program really is.

Disclaimer:
this is the first digital software i play with so i am not familiar with any other but this and is suiting my needs so well.

I do want to give you a tip: when you are adding elements to a page or card, keep in mind that whatever you add first will show first and the second/third/fourth, will go in that order---on top of the previous element. if you need to make changes to any of it, you will have it you to delete and add again. i know it does not sound very clear at this time but when you get there, you will understand.  i am not a good teacher as you might know and i am thinking i might even make some videos for you to see----that is if time/life--- permits and when it does allows it...lol.

take care and let me know if you went to visit My Memories website.

A SILHOUETTE/PORTRAIT--- using the cricut heritage cartridge

i thought to share this cool, trendy, and super easy project with you.
a bit of info: i painted my room a WHILE AGO, lol, and really did not do much with it after all. i had all these big plans but never got to it. i know i am not the only one in this department...hehe

anyway, here it is:
A SILHOUETTE
11.50" high
the story of this frame is i got it on ebay like 6 years ago with an antique drawing. i do not know how old the drawing was but i liked the frame so i paid 99cents for it and free shipping...ha! i
first, i had it hanging in the attic for many years and then off my camera tripod and now it is in one of my bedroom walls showing off this super easy cut from the heritage cart. it is image# 42, flipped on my gypsy and cut at 11 and a half inch high. i think it looks magnificent just like that..so plain and gorgeous at the same time...in my opinion that is.
your opinion might vary...hehe

 another view:
and another view:

thanks for stopping by!...
oh!!!! ----my plans are to find a few more "alike" frames and make the male and a young boy silhouette and, if i find a doggie for lulu, that will be the topping on the ice cream \--- lol.

take care and i will see you soon.

NOTE: i have a digi surprise for one lucky winner of an amazing program you all are going to love.
please, stay tuned and have patience since you know how my days go---one good three bad...hehe

RUFF DAY?---card using the fancy frames stand

i hope you all had a great weekend.

i had time to play a bit in my craft room and i tell you, no matter how much i try to be organized and have a spot for everything, it never works. i dream of one day i will find the perfect layout. :-)

anyway, i had purchased this fancy frames cricut cart a while ago. the reason i chose to buy this cart was because the frame stand. i like to make my cards onto little table frames when possible, and this cart was perfect for my purpose.

Ruff day?
(because the kind of day i was having in the craft room and lulu was not making things easier for me either, lol)
the cute dog is from sweethearts and the pretty paper from a company called gcd.
(i have tons of papers - i know you do too-we all do, lol- and this one has been with me for a long while.
sometimes i do not want to use them because they are so pretty, but i think one day i will make an album for all the good looking papers i own.

see the tear drop on the left?...hehe. it is the tongue cut, but because i was having a ruff day....lol.
the real tongue i cut in red. i used glossy accents to enhance it and a mini square rhinestone was added to the collar for the bling we all like...at least iknow i do. :-)

same glossy accent was added to the paw print and the sentiment is from my pink stamper. she has the best punnies ever. the mini butterfly is from a martha stewart's paper punch.

this is the inside using a 1$ clear stamp.

and finally the "stand".
notice the first piece i cut i adhered it too low and was not standing properly.
i had to cut another and positioned it a bit higher. i added the layers to the inside of the card for support, the front was a bit too heavy, and kept coming forward---something to keep in mind for the future..hehe
the frames in this cart are very nice and i would think they would work even better in scrapbook pages.

well, well....this is the end for now but before i leave i wanted to share with you three photos of a tree i planted last year---you know i like gardening too, lol. love gardening, i better say.---
anyway, i made "THIS CARD", all inspired by when i first saw tree on the internet.
the tree is a local and is called witch hazel. it is medicinal too. the fringes (flowers) are supposed to be yellow but mine came out red. this is why i bought the tree, because of them, because they bloom in winter---yes!!! in winter...awesome!!! the tree will loose it leaves and then these awesome flowers will be the showcase in winter.

here are the photos

see how pretty?
and the tree is a baby yet. i can't wait for it to mature.

now, this is really all for today.
soon i will be starting yard clean up but before i have to start some seeds. i do this every year. some live and some don't but i do not care. it is a pleasure when they do.

take care now and big hug to all.
thanks for stopping by too.

SWEET- a wall decor project

i do not know about you, but i am ready for spring. it does not matter that we hardly had any snow, or cold weather for that matter. i am skipping the gold from the irish for spring...lol.

here i made a wall art decor. i already made some simple ones, but this one took me a bit longer.
my inspiration was seeing my spring flowers already showing the green tops above the ground.
enjoy!

Sweet
3.5 by 7"
pretty, uh?
(wink)

i had/have these pieces of chipboard in my stash,  from albums i never altered---- they are like almost 1/4 of an inch thick and that is the base for my frame.

this awesome tag is from k&co. i distressed it a bit with ink and added a bit if stickles to match the rest of the embellishments.

the sweet word is from paisley (cricut cart)---i wet embossed it with thick clear embossing powder and inked the edges too. i cut it four times, and glued the cuts together for dimension. after you have done this, they look like chipboard, and you get to use some of that cardstock in your stash before it rots, lol.

the square and circle are from the same k&co pack and the yellow pleated ribbon from recollections. the heart is from an old miss elizabeth product.

i made the holes with the pink crop-a-dile and added some eyelets and wire. the crop-a-dile is an awesome tool. it goes through everything--, including tin from pantry cans and new holes on your belt and sneakers if needed. ;p

this is the back.
i added that strip of paper with re-enforcers to add sustainability.

here you can see the thickness of the chipboard.

and these, precious flowers below, are my own-- handmade.
i used ribbon, a needle with thread, made a few stitches until i gathered the 4 inches piece of ribbon and then glued it with my glue gun...ouch!!!. i got burned a few times. (i have to find a better way to make them)
but----i LOVED the final product. you should try to make some.
i also added a tear drop shape faux jewel to serve as a leaf. so cute!

any questions, please do not hesitate to ask...just shoot me an email or write on the comment area.

---thanks for stopping by---
your visits fuel my creativity and keep me crafting.
 thanks again!

KISS JAR---altered pantry jar

hello all,
we got some light snow in since yesterday. my backyard looks like like a winter wonderland. i love when is fresh snow on the tree branches.

i  had time to made this jar i had in my pantry waiting for a nice occasion. i bet you already notice i like to alter items and i also like to repurpose.

Kiss Jar

---sorry about these pictures. my computer is sick. (i dropped an iris case on the keyboard and i think it damaged the hard drive. i am using my husband's but it does not have the same photo editing program i have in mine. when i get tim,e i will see if i can download it for free--i like that program better than this one).
---the frog is from create a critter, page #24---image #1 on the overlay.---

the red paper, hearts and one of the borders are from k&co. the scalloped brown border is from crate paper.
this super cute necklace was made with a beautiful ribbon a blogger sister gave me a while ago. the chrome flower is a piece of jewelry. her nails, heart, eyes and lips were accented with glossy accents.
and i draw some eyelashes for winking..lol.
different strands of ribbon for the jar neck with a heart charm attached to them.
i finished my jar with hershey kisses---my favorite chocolate--and i have tried many, hehe.

note:

my husband's b-day was on thursday. i made a special dinner for him. i went to the fish market i got some whole red snapper to bake. i also made mashed potatoes mixed with sauteed onions and a side of grilled asparagus---YUMMY!---what a delicious meal. i also got some clams. we ate those on friday. this jar was for him too---along with his birthday gifts and, of course, we are sharing the candy---wink!

take care for now and have a great weekend!
---still loving you all---

A VALENTINE’S CARD with a handmade background

hello to all who still visiting my blog.
I have made a background for this my card and since normally I used already patterned paper, I though to practice with something “out of the box”.
My Valentine
VALENTINE CARD 008

VALENTINE CARD 010   the size of this card is the standard A2 or 4.25” by 5.5”.
I used a fiskars clear background stamp called “vintage farmhouse” and a a wooden one for the script called “italian poetry” from hero arts. these stamps have been with me for a long while and I do not know if you can find them in the stores.
anyhow, I used some acrylic ink from pebbles and brushed it on the vintage farmhouse. I then inked my italian poetry with a staz on black ink pad--- and what you see is what I got---not bad at all.
not my usual colors but I like how it turned out.
the border strip, the scalloped circle, and the plain circle are from my fiskars punches. the little heart and tag are from a new k&co die cut assortment I just got at michael’s. the leaves I had them from some cricut cut and the stamped sentiments from g-studio dollar stamps.
I hope you like it and get inspire to make your own background for you project.
thanks for stopping by!
note: I have been feeling better. all my tests came back good and that is including my stress test. when the office called me to let me know I told them because the tests were coming back good it did not mean I magically got better. I then told them if it was not my heart, must be my lungs then. the doctor prescribed an inhaler for asthma and I think is doing the trick. I am hardly out of breath despite today it just has been 4 days since I started it. I had my heart surgery way back on 2007 and since then I have been suffering from this shortness of breath/fast heart beats and until now, after many test in between, I have thought of it must my my lungs/bronchia. I still suffer from the gerd but even that is a bit better with the addition of some tums and minor changes to my diet/portions and eating times. we do have to think out of the box sometimes, just like I did with my card today. the norm do not always work I guess.
thanks to all who pray for my health. I am very grateful and I give the praise to the Lord.
