A PUMPKIN SPICE BLOG PROJECT...mini square cards

welcome
The Pumpkin Spice Blog
this is agnes and today is my turn to share with you a card project i made with mother's day in mind, after all Mother's Day is in two weeks.
anyway, i want to wish you all a very
Happy Mother's Day.
(relax and relax and let them take you out for dinner, that is what i do anyway)

i made three 4 inches squared cards for today's inspiration. i was just thinking i better have some handy this year and not rush at the last moment to find or make one.

Most Loved Mom
4" square
for the the floral background and the banner i used a mother's love 6x6 pad from my my mind's eye. the banner i hand cut, the orange diecut behind the chipboard button was cut using a cricut cartridge. the chipboard button is also from my mind's eye (the sweetest thing collection).

my second card,
A Mother's Day
4" square
all the element of my card except the background paper are from the same  a mother's love paper pad from my mind's eye. the sentiment is from a retired clear stamp set from my pink stamper. i think you still can find some of her stamps here. the flower, frame and brackets are from sizzix dies.

and my last card,
Mom
4" square
here i used an assortment of items:
the photo corner and the speech bubble are from traditions from carta bella stickers.
the wreath paper and border are  from a mother's love and the chipboard heart is from  the fourteen collection from crate paper. the white paper was embossed with my cuttlebug and the cloud embossing folder is from darice. the mom word on this card it is also from another my pink stamper set

all the products i used from the pumpkin spice shop have been linked for easy access.

this trio of mother's day cards are going to be handy in anyone's household, :)

i hope you like them and whatever you decide to make, do not forget to have fun with it.

see you next turn around,

take care now and have a beautiful day no matter what!

SCRAPS CARD---using accent essentials

i have been browsing the cricut forum here and there after not been around for almost a year or so. there are so many venues for inspiration i just never made time to be around again.
last night i found a challenge, very easy challenge: use a cricut flower.
 here is what they ask:
"our challenge is called"April Showers Brings Us Flowers" so you are to create a card, layout, or papercraft project that contains at least one Cricut cut flower. This is a very easy challenge and we hope that many of our friends will enter. This challenge will start today and run through Saturday, April 14 till 9 pm eastern time. Please no backlinks. Enter as many times as you like, but link each project separately. Now take a look at what our talented design team created to give you some inspiration."

the blog is called
(click on the name to go to the blog)

My Flower Card
4.25 x 5.5
this card is made totally of scraps. the flower i had in my "cuts for another day" stash and it is from accent essentials. the small flower i really do not remember but i know is from another cricut cart. the papers are from k&co---an old box i purchased a WHILE ago and it has the most beautiful patterned papers ever. I do like k&co a lot but i do not buy much anymore because i have so much of it, lol.

even the ribbon knot is a scrap. hehe

i will add a sentiment when i need to use it

---i have those day where i just want to use scraps---
and enter challenges and i am on one of those stages, lol.
maybe next week i will be doing something else. who knows!

if you want to participate in this challenge go ahead and click on their link. i do not know the ladies who run it but it is an easy and fun challenge.

thanks for stopping by!

BIRTHDAY FUN MPSDT JUNE PROJECT/END OF TERM

as you all might know, this is my last project as a member of the awesome
design team.
the term was for six months and we have come to an end. some girls will stay and some will go. anyway, you look at it, it was my honor and pleasure to design for Robyn alone with her so very creative team.
thanks ROBYN for all you do!

Robyn's instructions for this last project were:
"Just make sure it is BRIGHT and fun!!!"
Birthday Fun
is the name of my card using the
my first "mps stamps set"as her designer on my first term.

 now, onto my card.
using an old stack from DCWV i made this beautiful card. while looking at those papers i really did not like them but went for them anyhow. the only one i really liked was the blue dotted one :P

the card size is a 4 x 5 inch tall. i used cindy loo for the mushrooms, ashlynn's alphabet for the gorgeous butterflies and accent essentials for the sentiment mat. the later was manipulated on the gypsy to the shape you see now to fit the sentiment size. i used for image #31 using shift.
below are a couple more pics.
remember you can always click on the pics, for zooming in.
bright and fun just like robyn wanted it to be.

hope you liked it and give you some inspiration.

THINKING OF YOU

HOLA

i have been sewing patches for the high school play-- a bit here and a bit there-- and after i did a few per day i was good for nothing, lol.

but to take my mind away from them ;p, i started working on this set of cards. i made two sets of 6. you will see just one because they are twins, not identical tough :). i am giving one set to my next door neighbor and the other set is for Etsy.
i really do not mind sewing, i love to sew but because everything hurts is not as much fun as it used to be, ;p

Thinking of You
5.50 inch tall
the card base is from a child's year, image# 15 of the overlay using the card feature.

all the embossing was done using my dear cuttlebug  and a folder called textile from pc too.
(did you know i own the sizzix pink big shot too but still like my cuttlebug much better? wink-wink)

for the base and for the envelope  i used kraft cardstock. i cut the base at 5.5 inch and the patterned papers at .25 inch smaller ---5.25, 5.0. 4.75.

i did not have enough of the patterned paper for the six cards but very similar one from the same collection. this photo shows one design and...
this photo below the other design.
 almost identical--hehe

the yellow strip was made using an older fiskars punch and the flowers are from accent essentials.
the kraft one is image# 46, the greenish one is image#26, and the orange one is image#23.

my son hates those gems i use but i like them, lol.

below is the envelope and it is from wild card cart-- image#2 using shift and it measures on my gypsy
width of 10.57 and a high of 5.85.

hope you like them.

this tuesday we have my pink stamper design team projects and the cuttlebug spot challenge. i will be posting the cuttlebug challenge on wednesday.

thank again for stopping by!
i love you all.

--wink-wink--

here is my project for today
Gracias por tu Amistad
(Thank you for your Friendship)
standard A2 card
(4.25x5.5)
the grid tag is from a child's year cricut cartridge--image #43 using shift and the tag feature, and the heart is from accent essentials--another cricut cart--image #36.

this tag is really pretty and the two mini accents are from my stash--from a package i bought on clearance--gotta love a good deal, :P

the "gracias por tu amistad" (thank you for your friendship) is from the newest release--and well needed in my repertoire--clear stamp set from no other than my pink stamper. you can click HERE, and it will take you to robyn's site and you can see the many more sets she has available.

i used foam tape to raise the tag for dimension and on the above pic you can see that better.

hope you enjoy it!

WELL WISHES

hello

me me, the winner of the blog hop contacted me and soon i will be making a little surprise goodie box for her. i am very happy she did get my email and claimed her prize.
congrats to me me--!!

i made these two cute tags using another set of clear stamps from my pink stamper.
Well Wishes
the tags are from a child's year image #11 using shift and the tag feature.
the flowers are from accent essentials image #46 using the shift key. the leaves are also from the same cart: shift and images # 41 and 42.
i misted the flowers with water, i crunched them, dried them with the heat gun, inked them and glued the layers on top of each other. they were different sizes, varying a few eights of an inch. the leaves were also misted, crunched and inked. really easy to make. the sentiment i used is from the set below in case you want to check it out.
HAPPIEST MOMENTS

thanks for stopping by
and a big hug to all.

"PLAYING WITH SERENADE" by flowerdisco & friends

Hello friends, followers and visitors.

I hope you all are doing well.

I want to take this moment to remind you all that this is a very busy time of the year for me and my family and I might be not be as productive in the blogging world as usual. :(

On the other side,

I am very happy to be doing the series with friends. We all have something to bring to the table with our different styles. If you missed our Serenade premiere last Wednesday, please click here to take a look.

For this week I have image #9...a butterfly on its side,
and this is
the huge card I made with it.

Giggle
8 inches
Isn't pretty?
I wasn't too sure at first, but after adding this and that, I really-really like it.
My friend Helen from long live paper and scissors asked me if I had a plan when I did my clipboard. I am quoting her here:
""wow! i wish when i did my homework last minute, that it turned out this incredible!!! was the idea in your head already? i always love your colour palette, it is so energizing! it;s a winner in my books!!!""
My answer to that is I hardly ever have a plan. I might see something on a magazine or blog and get inspired but it always ends up being totally mine and none from the inspiration. I just sit and and whatever comes to my mind I start with and keep playing with it, adding this and that and sometimes it just doesn't work. But, that  is life too...we don't get everything we want, lol.
Any how, I did not win the ABC challenge.
You can go to
http://live-teach-create.blogspot.com/2010/09/sept-abc-challenge-winner.html
and see who won. It's ok. I know the clipboard came out awesome.

well, back to my
Giggle card
*-*
Did I say it is huge at
8 inches?
 here it is again
Besides the butterfly from Serenade, the rest of the cuts are from Accent Essentials.
The papers are from My Mind's Eye Bloom and Grow collection (the same paper collection I used for my Cookbook) and the red is from American Crafts cardstock.
I added some stickles, some faux stitching, some jewels and a piece of orange ribbon.

This is the inside of it.
The sentiments are from Hampton Art clear stamp set called Giggles.

(when I welded the card base using the Accent essentials image #31 I also used hide contour to hide one of the layers and I also used the mirror image feature to make the images weld proportionally. I also inked everything).
Remember you can click on the images for a larger view.

Now, onto my friends projects.

Hopefully you enjoyed this part 2
and come back
next Wednesday
when we will be showcasing round 3.

Hugs to all!
