A BANNER... using my old george and basic shapes

my son was home 2 weeks ago for a spring break and since he was so exhausted from classes i wanted to remind him every moment he needed to relax. it worked a bit but with so many friends looking for him, he just had a one or two day to  do nothing, lol.
i made this banner and hung it on one of his bedroom windows as a reminder...hehe

i used george and basics shapes because i was too lazy to look what other cartridge i have had a banner like this one. i lost all my files with the last gypsy update, so i do not have a pic of the welding that was done to recreate it. i do remember was the rectangle and a triangle.
i made the rosettes myself and can't remember what font i used.. i used twine to hang it and it looks so darn pretty in his room.

this one pic is on my entrance to the kitchen so i could get good light for the photograph.

i thought to share it with you. they sell them on etsy for over $25 and i have seen them for even more. they are worth the money, you can embellish them as much as your heart desire. this one was for a male so not much bling but just some. hehe

DAILY LIFE: we decided to put all the stuff that was already toted in the attic and the rest that was in cardboard boxes we put in the garage. we couldn't deal with the chaos we had. hehe. now, another 7 years before i deal with it again. rotfl.

back to normal
just a few small totes by the big couch, i will remove soon, lol.
Phew!

 thanks for stopping by,
you are all very welcome anytime.

EPHEMERA POUCHES---with graphic 45 and knco patterned papers

i forgot i had bought this boardwalk patterned paper from graphic 45, lol. i found it hid it
in the pile of 8 x8"s. lol.
i wanted to make some st. patrick's day treat pouches but somehow ended up like this.
WARNING: photo heavy

Ephemera Treat/Favor Pouches
2.75 by 4.25
2.75 by 4.50
2.75 by 5.25
all started with empty paper towel rolls.

the images are from graphic 45---on the boardwalk
the patterned paper is from k&co---portabello road
--some of the embellishments like the star, happy days, measure twice..., old stamp have been with me for a long while.
the measuring tape is a border from k&co too, the staples are from tim holtz so is the ink i used to distress.
some glitter glue from g-studio, wire from my supplies and the adhesive you use is very important. you need something like red tape or the scor tape i used on these.
i also stitched the bottom of the pouches using a decorative stitch.

oh!... and i used the all night media liquid embossing on the star and the  measure twice embellishment and..... i made the accordion flower 3/4 of an inch and it gave me a bit of hard time...grr! :P and..that tape you see is from my first aid kit---i distressed it very well if you ask me, hehe

i think i like them a lot.

FREEDOM ROCKS

thanks to the rain i had another chance to make use of my supplies, lol

Freedom Rocks
8 inches tall
the above phrase is from my pink stamper new release called
"freedom rocks" hehe-- i am hooked on this one lately.
i made a banner single. i saw something similar on a blog or etsy--i can't remember, but i know it was much better than this one i just made :P

the uncle sam's hat is from stand and salute.
the white border is a ms paper punch. the bird is a fiskars one and the scalloped accordion flower i made.

enjoy!
