A SAILBOAT FOR MY DAD

i made another card for father's day because we are even closer to their special day and any other project would have been looked out of place, don't you think so too?

this one is from designer nic squirrell and it fits with all the rave for a nautical theme and of course for father's day.
if you miss the pegboard card from last week, you can still check it out here.

-this is my take on the sailboat-

Happy Father's Day
5" x 7"
i did some dry embossing with my cuttlebug and an old fiskars embossing plate i have in my stash.
i embossed the yatch (sailboat) and the blue background cardstock.

the clouds are from some die cuts i normally have at hand and i believe they are from a cricut cartridge, so is the sun which i popped a bit.

i have been adding some wink of stella shimmer to some projects but is hard to see. in this case i added it to the sun, clouds and the happy father's day words.

a bit of a rustic twine for a bit of masculine touch.

i love when i open the card, the left side looks awesome: just like a silhouette.
(sorry about my geraniums but we are having rainy and cloudy days and i get better lightning sometimes in this front window facing west)

this super pretty Thank You word are from designer jamie cripps and i think it looks  adorable. the font is so pretty.
the lines behind it are just some scraps from the front of the card. i think they look nice and they carry some of the design to the inside.

supplies used:
yatch card: digiplayground item# 19078
thank you word: digiplayground item# 19204

cardstock: recollections
embossing folders:  fiskars
embossing machine: cuttlebug

bling: wink of stella (clear)

die cutter: cricut explore
software: cricut design space

adhesive: martha stewart

hope you get you mojo going and you like this card as much as i did.

and once more, thank you so much for stopping by and if you like what you see, please share to any of your fav social media sites.

and here I am so very honored to do so.
Thanks Joy!

Anyhow....This is great news!!!!
WHY?????

with her very own clear stamp set called
"Joy's Life Lots of Pun"

Joy also has a new DVD called
You can take a look at her products

I am super thrilled.

To enter for this give-a-away you must tell me which sentiment on this stamp set is your favorite and of course a way to contact you if you are the lucky person to win the Lots of Pun giveaway.
It is not required to subscribe/follow my blog, but it would be nice if you did, just don't feel obligated.

I love all of the sentiments, but I chose...
G'Day Mate!
for my 5 by 7 inch card.
I used the B is for boys Lite Cricut cartridge for the pirate and his outfit. The ship is also from the same cartridge. The red polka dot frame is from Live Simply, another Lite Cricut cartridge.
The chest, crab, sea shell and sun are from the Life is a Beach cartridge. The card base is a kraft cardstock.

I made his tiny earrings from some jewelry findings I have in my supplies. It came out so very cute. I also used some stickles for the bling.
The "gold" in the treasure chest is from some jewelry charms I also have and I purchased those for 50 cents at Joann's.
I knew I would find somewhere to use them, :)

The sand paper is from DCWV. Click on the pics for a better view.

And...I used the G'Day Mate!
clear stamp from Joy's Lots of Pun set.
Doesn't look great  on my card?

This is the same set you might be able to win
if you leave me a comment telling me which stamp from this set is your favorite.

Below you can see the inside of the card and if you are wondering where the blue beautiful paper comes from, it is from K&Co Day Dreams Collection.

BIRTHDAY FUN WITH GYPSY WANDERINGS

Hello my friends

I just came back from the gym...yeah! I still going...you thought I was going to quit, uh? LOL
I haven't lost a pound yet and this week is my fourth week. Of course I am not following any specific diet,
just watching what I eat but I still have trouble with that
sweet tooth I have in my mouth.
I think I am going to pull it out, lmbo.

Anyway...I am here because I made a card last night. Since I purchased the G, I haven't hardly used any of the carts that came with it. I really like the images on Gypsy Wanderings and that is what I used last night.
I looked and saw this adorable boat and since one of the new
Lite Cartridges is called B is for Boys it came to my mind that B is for boats too, lol (what a goof, uh?)

I set the size at 5 inches and used  the hide contour on my G for first time (much easier to use than on DS), then I flipped the image on the left and did the welding.

I cut the welded images on white Wausau Linen cardstock. Then I added three more boats on my G screen/mat  at 4.75. I used three 5 by 5 squares of cardstock (red, blue and kraft) and cut. I then cut those boats in different pieces to assemble my boat. I did some texture to the mastil with my cuttlebug and faux-stitched around everything.

These are some rub-on's I added to the inside and more faux-stitch.

These are the inside sides.

and this is a close-up with the MPS Birthday Fun clear stamp.

I am so surprised about this beautiful image right there in the Gypsy and I did not see it before.

Hope you like it and find this post useful.

Psss! nobody has guessed yet what I did with the money.
I will wait until Friday and then I will tell.

Thanks for stopping by!

I will have Wild Card #48 tomorrow.
I can't believe I am almost done with them.
YAY!!!!

Have a great day!

Hugs!
