4TH OF JULY....banner

hello,
today i am sharing with you all a pretty banner i made using my cricut.

USA
very similar to a one section banner i made when designing for my pink stamper.
you can see it here.

i used the stand and salute cricut cartridge for the hat (page #27 of the handbook), the fireworks (page #50 of the handbook) and the usa (page #63 of the handbook).
each section measures approximately 4" wide x 7" tall, decreasing the layers in size by an 1/8 of an inch.

i love the velvety polka dots cardstock. this is the last of it all. sorry i can't remember the manufacturer.

the cute border here was done with a fiskars paper punch and the golden glitter dots were made with a regular office one hole punch.

the usa has been also layered 3 times: black, red and blue; a bit of diamond stickles  was applied here and there.

these are the fireworks: 2 at each end of the banner.

and here we have a pretty 5 sections banner ready to be used on the 4th of july celebrations.

this banner will be for sale on my etsy shop.

(these banners looks so easy to make but they are so time consuming, right?
but i think they are worth it tough).

thanks for stopping by.

LAND OF THE FREE...using a digital stamp

welcome to another challenge.
i am so super late with this project i did not even send it yet.

time has been flying around like a "bee here and bee there" and i have been lacking craft time but however i was able to produce another sign. i love signs and this one i will be using in conjunction with other 4th of july decorations for our get together. i was planning to make a banner but a sign will do for now. i will make the banner later.

our sponsor this week is
eureka stamps.
they will be giving 5 free digi stamps of your choice to the winner.
thanks so much eureka stamps. they were also very nice to provide the dt with another free digi stamp of our choice. i chose the below background stamp and i love it.

now, onto my sign...this will become the center of my banner. it is a big sign/pennant section measuring 8 inches tall because i want to show it off.

Land of the Free
look how gorgeous!
i love that blue color. i used my spectrum noirs markers to color in this huge image.
i went and sat on the deck, with lulu by my side and spend a bit amount of time coloring and relaxing. i think i use the entire ink in the marker, hehe.

did you noticed the design on the letters?
i did that with a hole puncher, the one you have to use a hammer to punch, lmbo....i think it was the first hole puncher i bought before the crop a dile and i still use it a lot. it is a very handy tool indeed. i think it was the perfect touch. i backed the sign with the same yellow paper i made the stars to give the illusion of lights behind...like one of those hollywood like signs you see.

the Land of the Free phrase comes from the cricut cartridge called "stand and salute". i used the craft room because my gypsy was giving me some problems and i have to say i really liked it. i am still in doubts about syncing my gypsy to the craft room...i need some advice on it.

i also punched some stars out and staggered them around the background.

i went outside in the morning and took the picture using the natural light of a beautiful morning.

and this is it for now, :P

thanks so much for stopping by!

---i appreciate your company---

Welcome

the time has come for another
Pink-a-Licious Blog Hop
with all the designer from my pink stamper and our monthly special guest designer
Kristal
from Getting Cricky.
we were supposed to make something "springy" and
you guys know i have been making an album with spring colors in mind and today i will be sharing a page where i used a darling clear stamp "happy everything". this stamp is from the set called "happiest moments". you can click HERE to see more and for more info on how to acquire them. they are my favorite stamps ever. i really like them and is not because they are from robyn's but because i love how they stamp. the sentiments are so cool too. you gotta love them :P

Leave a Legacy
a 6x6 handmade album
2 pages shown here
for lack of time
 this is the album cover

here you can see the 'happy everything" sentiment i used. my plan is to make strips and stamp them with all the sentiments in the set and put them inside the pocket. then we can use whatever sentiment we need to add on any page in the album.

here are both pages again.

i hope it gives you some ideas and if you would like to come back and see the finished album, you are more than welcome. i will be posting all of the pages this coming week. i am almost done with it. i need to make more tags for journaling and a few touches here and there.

i have the cricut cartridge "Stand and Salute" as my giveaway for today. ACM had them on sale and i bought one for me and one for a lucky follower/visitor. leave a comment to be enter in the giveaway. you do not have to be a follower to participate. if you want to follow me i will be super thrilled, but it is totally optional.
