A PUMPKIN SPICE BLOG PROJECT...a square card

Hello, this is me agnes
aka
i am a new addition to this already awesome design team. today is my first post and i am so happy you came to visit.
i love making cards and love playing with pretty paper and, if you are like me, then you are in the right place. the pumpkin spice store is the place you need to get your "fix", i mean scrap supplies, hehe, you also will find many other addictive goodies. personally, i think denine has the best prices in her shop. if you "gotta see to believe", click here to see for yourself---(wink  wink).

anyway, i got this awesome paper at the shop called beautiful moments, from the new brand carta bella. oh my! you are going to love it. nice thickness and gorgeous patterns and colors, yummy! along with these papers i also got my first unity stamp called jars of love x 3.
these jars are all the rave now and the hearts make them perfect for valentine's day. the hearts come separate from the jars, in the same package. this is great because if you want to use the jars for any other occasion, you can, yay!
well, enough of chat-chat and let me show what i made with my shop pumpkin spice goodies.

Love
4x4 square card
the jars were stamped using a versafine onyx ink (my new favorite). i then stamped the hearts on the jars with versamark, sprinkled them with red brick distressed embossing powder from tim holtz and added this softer than most  jute. the rest came from my forever stash, :D what a cute and easy card if you asked me...shhh! it really took me a while, hehe. i wasn't pleased with the first one i made. wink-wink.
oh, i almost forgot the "so happy" sentiment comes from a my mind's eye clear stamp set i also got from the shop.

a few more pics (for more details, click on the pics)

and...this is it for now.

thank you again for stopping  by to see my first project for this blog.

i hope you liked my project and i invite you to subscribe, bookmark or follow us. this way you won't miss anything that denine has in store for all of us----and, that includes you too.

have a great day!

MEMORIES ARE MADE OF THIS...a handmade non-cricut card

hello you all!
i am praying we all be safe with hurricane sandy...i guess we should call her miss sandy and she is something. what a diva! getting everyone bending at her desires and making everyone so scare of her.
lol
i am just kidding of course, but please be safe and buy some non-perishable items, water and if you have a grill bring it in your garage to cook. that is what i am planning. I went to sam's club this morning and got myself a generator and after reading the instructions online (cause i did not want to open the box just yet) i got intimidated by it and i know my husband who is "mr not handy at all" :- P) will be more intimidated than i am. i will have to return it :(

today is sunday and i did all my wash and house ready for sandy (minus the generator) and i had time to make this pretty card for my shop but as most of the time i like to share these projects here too because, i am not extra crafting much these days.

Memories are Made of This
is a sentiment from one of theresa collin's clear stamps set
4.25" x 5.5 inches tall
look how pretty, oh my! :D
the flower is a petaloo one dusted with diamond dust and inked and distressed the for the look i like so much. you can also see the theresa collins sentiment "memories are made of this" so cute!
---(remember you are at flowerdisco's blog) wink wink wink---are you? hehe

the birds are from a glitz clear stamped set and inked with vintage ink from tim holtz.
awesome image!

here is the whole card.

and a close up of the flower and the diamond dust bling.

hope you like it as much as i do.

hopefully sandy does not do much damage and her fury turns into a mild tantrum and maybe we do not have to scrap a page where "memories are made of this".

and please-please!!!!---do not take me wrong...i am not taking things lightly with this hurricane. i come from an island and know how much damage hurricanes can do but i am trying to put a smile on your face and maybe take your mind off of it, the same way i am trying to take my mind off it too. my husband works in nj and if he gets stuck in work i am here all by myself, with lulu and going crazy about my son who is in boston. so you see, i can't be taking things lightly :(

take care now and a big hug to you all!

BEAUTIFUL GRANDMA... a non- cricut card

just to share
the card base is a beautiful pink cardstock from recollections.
---i am really liking this brand---

the sticker is from crate paper, the ribbon from martha stewart and the patterened paper from k&co. the pink button from webster pages and the stick pins from tim holtz. the grandma was stamped with a g-studio clear stamp.

as you can see, i just don't do cricut, lol.

beautiful indeed.
---especially for grandma's mother's day---

take care fellows,
see you tomorrow with the pddu series.

HAPPY EVERYTHING

and an mps blog hop and health update.
---
i went yesterday to the reuma doctor for the first time and she was very nice. she will be examining some tests i have had done, but all it seems to point out to a bad flare up of my condition. i am back on one of my old medicine. i thought that medicine was not really working, but she says none of them will take completely my pain away--mo magic wand here either. :(  it is not the first time i hear that.
this is a condition i have to live with for the rest of my life and it will flare up for the rest on my life too. i have to go for a blood test for lupus. i never had that test done tough, let's see.  i have had every other therapy, massages, injections, rx that has shred my stomach and more... and nothing really works. oh well...put my
"big girl smile on again", and keep forward. that is all i can do :)
i feel much better and last night i was able to sleep the whole night. i still have my son's cold and now my lower back pain has moved to my middle back, but i should be back to "normal" soon.
---
my mps blog hop winner will be announced sometime tomorrow th, jan. 20.

---
now onto a card i made the other day with a new set of clears stamp from my pink stamper, robyn.

Happy Everything
5 x 4
I needed to think happy these days and this sent
image got my mind in gear.:P
made with kraft cardstock and K&Co embellishments.
i really liked how clean the sentiment came out. i used a colorbox ink for it, very nice.
if you would like to see more of this Happiest Moments set,
where she has lots more to choose from too:)

i think it came out very pretty.

----

I also wanted to show you a pic of the ice storm we just had. if look a bit closer you can see the ice shining on top of the snow that we already had.
  this is it for now,
i will be back tomorrow with a winner for the blog hop.
hugs to all and thanks again for being there to hear me vent ;p

THE LIME LIGHT JANUARY PROJECT

hello my friends

as you know i have been sick with "whatever" and i feel better on that "whatever" but not 100% better yet :(.
now i have terrible lower back pain that shoots down to both legs and i think i am getting my son's cold too. i can't win but, whatever right? put my big girl "smile" on and move forward, lol.
this tuesday i am going to see a rheumatologist for my chronic pain and see if she can help me a bit with some new medicines. i will keep you updated. i have bee suffering with this for over 15 years and i tell you it is not getting any better :( every day seems to get worse.

anyhow, since i belong to that awesome charity blog "The Lime Light", where we make crafts to help fund others with their needs, i want to show you what i have been working on.
some of these cards are non-cricut but we have to think "out of the cricut box" sometimes, right?;p  and since i have all these store bought embellishments that i am in love with, -big grin here-- and can't just leave them on their store shelves...i decided to use some of them for a good purpose and make some cards.
i made 12 cards for january and i will be making 12 bookmarks for february. i might make something else but i can commit for too many right now because i need to get "my situation" under control here.

here are my cards

you might recognize some of the cards background ;p
they are from a store bought set too. i do not know if the photos give them justice but i know they are really pretty in real life. all i did was add some touches with glitter, white gel pen, stamps from MPS, punches, and the mixed die cuts...see how pretty?
