A PUMPKIN SPICE PROJECT...mini gift cards

i was thinking about graduation parties and chose to make some gift tags, not just for the graduate but for any occasion. i made three of them.

Congratulations, Let's Celebrate and Sweet Friend
3.5" x 2.5" when folded
i used my cricut expression to die cut the gift cards using a cartridge called cindy loo
(image #50 on the overlay)
i also used some patterned paper from my mind's eye, some chipboard from crate company and a sticker from dcwv.
the sentiments were stamped using clear stamps.

this is an olive green color, so sorry i couldn't captured it well but even in that color it looks awesome.
they turned super cute and i know i will be making more of them.

i will be submitting the one that says "CONGRATULATIONS" for this week's challenge at the pumpkin spice.

thanks you so much for stopping by!

A PUMPKIN SPICE PROJECT...using a die cut negative

hello all,
today is my turn to post at the
pumpkin spice
and
you all know i love making cards and while in need of another sympathy card, here is what  made.

Comfort
5" square card
looking what papers would look nice on my sympathy card i found the stella rose 6 x 6 pad from my mind's eye and i had forgotten how beautiful they are. i chose a few of them for my card and they are all here for your to enjoy!

some machine stitching and some pretty flowers along with a paper border complete this easy and pretty to make handmade card.
i used the cricut cartridge cindy loo for the word comfort and i used the negative of it in my card.
i hope you like it!

Have a Beautiful Day!

EEEEK!- A BITTEN BY THE BUG CHALLENGE

i just came back from boston last night. we went to see our son. he is loving it and he proudly showed us the neighborhood what he is calling home now :(
this post is late because i did not have the energy to work on it last night.
my apologies to the BBTB2 team for my delay and to you too for my tardiness.
this week we are working with hello kitty greetings and we are using image #43 on the overlay and page #70 on the handbook.

---this is my take on the challenge---

EEEEK!
5.75"
sweet kitty....she is always so cute.
this is a great cart!

the orange background was cut using cindy loo
it turned out gorgeous!
kitty was cut at 2.25 and the only cuts i used were the base and layer one for the face--no shift.

the bats are the negatives of a paper punch by martha stewart.
i layered them 4 times and then stickled them---(stickles=glitter glue)

the EEEEK! is from a my pink stamper set called spooky puns---a last year's release.
you can find it here---it has so many cute sentiments :) and where i stamped is the paper punch where i got the bats from, :D

and this is my kitty...she is too cute to spook. :P another sentiment from the spooky puns set but i already had cut the border and did not fit :(

join us in this challenge picked by my dear theresa---BBTB DT sister!
a great image to work with. if you do not have Hello Kitty Greetings, you can always use any other similar image for the challenge....NO EXCUSES! ------LOL.

NOTE: a reminder that if you want to be enter in my vulture (last weeks challenge) you have to let me know. i haven't received any entries.
you still have one more week to join the vulture challenge at BBTB2.

a HUGE thank you for stopping by,
love you all.

DETAILS....

hello sweet friends. hope each one of you is doing FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

graduation party is getting closer and so are preparations. my husband will be cooking and i will be his assistant along with some other helpers. hehe...that will be some FUN! for a change ;p

anyhow, for de-stressing and taking my mind off things i worked on this card on and off like for two days, lol

Details
4.25 x 5.5"
i used a few cartridges and welded a few images using my gypsy.

the card base is from "just because cards" page #63 image #40. the banner is from "christmas" image #29 and the mat for the sentiment is from is from "cindy loo" and is image #10 manipulated for my purposes--hehe. the font for the word "details" is from "graphically speaking" image #25 using the type feature and welding the letters.
i had to cut things a few times and tweak them here and there but i am happy with the results.
the butterfly is a chipboard accent from k&co.
those little epoxy flowers i believe they are from some dollar bin or maybe from sticko brand, they are really cute.  -----------TIP: when i use cheap products i do not rely on their adhesive so i always use my adhesives and in this case i used "zip dry".

the patterned paper is from dcwv: the cafe mediterranean matstack.
absolutely stunning colors.

a bit of messing up trying to add the small pieces to the negative of the word--  :(

i was very pleased to find the butterfly. the colors matched so very nice!
i love when you find a perfect match in different brands.

a side view.

and the inside sentiment compliments the one on the front very well
"DETAILS"
LIFE IS TOO SHORT...LAUGH WHEN YOU CAN!
also................. it is my best piece of advice to you.
the sentiment is from one of "my pink stamper" clear stamps set called:
"everyday sentiments".

i sure hope you enjoy it and it serves as some kind of inspiration.

love you all!

BIRTHDAY FUN MPSDT JUNE PROJECT/END OF TERM

as you all might know, this is my last project as a member of the awesome
design team.
the term was for six months and we have come to an end. some girls will stay and some will go. anyway, you look at it, it was my honor and pleasure to design for Robyn alone with her so very creative team.
thanks ROBYN for all you do!

Robyn's instructions for this last project were:
"Just make sure it is BRIGHT and fun!!!"
Birthday Fun
is the name of my card using the
my first "mps stamps set"as her designer on my first term.

 now, onto my card.
using an old stack from DCWV i made this beautiful card. while looking at those papers i really did not like them but went for them anyhow. the only one i really liked was the blue dotted one :P

the card size is a 4 x 5 inch tall. i used cindy loo for the mushrooms, ashlynn's alphabet for the gorgeous butterflies and accent essentials for the sentiment mat. the later was manipulated on the gypsy to the shape you see now to fit the sentiment size. i used for image #31 using shift.
below are a couple more pics.
remember you can always click on the pics, for zooming in.
bright and fun just like robyn wanted it to be.

hope you liked it and give you some inspiration.

a bit of DAILY LIFE:

---husband ended up on insulin :( still has to see the specialist.
---son's graduation was a blast!!!
---visit to boston university for 4 days was excellent!!!!

---lulu is very sick and needs your prayers: collapsed trachea, heart failure and pneumonia. we are devastated. we have no more tears. we are numbed with pain and heartache.

WITH SYMPATHY CARD

hello to all
:)
i am back but still not settled yet. i do apologize for not being around but you must know family will always come first, especially here at my household. plus, i have been in so much pain from trying to do the extra bit--  :(

anyhow, i had to work on something before i go nuts, lol and i made this sympathy card and i also made a super easy and pretty (i believe) gift card holder i needed.
i then had to buy one because i forgot it at home--grr!

first,
With Sympathy
 4.25" x 5.5"
purple is a very hard color to photograph especially if you do not have good lighting. a friend told me she photographs hers with low lighting but it did not work for me. i googled it and it says to use the "white balance" in your camera. this is what i used to avoid the bluish color i always get. it is not perfect but is better. i still have to work on it. i have a cannon ps s2. it is an old camera but it has been very good to me except with the "color purple", lol.

the image is from cindy loo cut at 4.25" high and all its layers.

the sentiment is from one of the latest releases of my pink stamper clear stamp set called spectacular sayings. i heat embossed it. i still have to work on my heat embossing too :P--- but this font is so pretty tough. ;p

i made this yellow crinkled ribbon out of a strip of yellow cardstock. it looks like fabric, right? :) and it does in real life too--hehe. loving it!!!!!
i did not have any yellow ribbon left so i decided to improvise. i wet it and crunched it and dried it with the heat tool, then i glue-gunned it on the back to keep the pleats. so easy a cave woman (me) can do it, lol.

the mini butterfly is a sticker from my stash.

---remember you can click on the pics for a larger view---

now, this is the gift card/money holder card. the other "super easy" project that i forgot at home. :) i told the bride i will mail it but do not expect more money--hehe--because the money went in the other one already, lol.

the inside is just the holder that i paper punched it.
the envelope i made from a 12x12 sheet of vellum using one of the envelopes from the wild card cart--for the adhesive i used a 1/8th wide scor-tape i have. it worked good. you still can see it through but it does not look bad.

well, hope you get some ideas with these projects.

and i hope to come back soon....in the meantime, know i still love you all and please forgive me for not visiting your blogs lately. i am hoping all will settle/come down after graduation and the move to college.

i am also dealing with my husband diabetes being totally out of control: 400+

no more pity party---i really hate it!!!!--but i feel you guys need to know why i am not around---i have a lot on my plate and because this stupid pain never goes away--it is really hard for me to even try to balance it all. i just can't.

see you later and

BIG HUGS to all----!!!!!!!

LOVE IS SPOKEN HERE

i had to take food over the musical rehearsal last night and decided to stay for a while to watch them practice and oh my lord...this show is coming out AWESOME!. no bragging here but my son is so so so talented he is really a natural, and doing a super great job with Lil Abner...and his voice...oh my oh my. they will get a dvd and when my son gets his, i will upload a bit of it so you see i am not exaggerating :)
we are busting with pride here..hehe
thanks for the good vibes!!!!

anyhow...i had time to make a card.
Love is Spoken Here
5.35"

using my gypsy and cindy loo image# 25, i welded the two scalloped circles together. i then cut four more scallops in different sizes. one was cut for the inside and the rest you can see on the front.

the family silhouette you can find it on going places image#3.
the sentiment "love is spoken here" from dear my pink stamper clear stamp set is more faithful sayings and you can find the whole set here.
as you can see,  i messed up while stamping, tried to fix it and while it might not look too good on the pics it does look better in person. ;p or so i think, lol
 have a great wednesday
and remember the blog hop on friday night starting 8PM central and 9PM eastern time (where I am)

love you all!

HAVE A HAPPY BIRTHDAY

this th is my mil's b-day. she has 7 kids, my husband being one of them. at the end of november she had a surgery, things got out of whack and she still in rehab. that is where we are meeting th night to celebrate.

i made this card for her.

Have a Happy Birthday
5.5" tall
cindy loo was used for the flower and k&co for the colorful papers.

after i took the pic i added some stickles to some areas.

the sentiment is from my pink stamper clear stamp set called "everyday life". and the faux gems my son absolutely hates, lol. i love them...hehe

after i finished the card i decided to make her a set to have handy.

all the sentiments are from my pink stamper stamps.

----
on another note...i haven't have time to work on the album as of today. hopefully i can finish it this week to post the pics of all the pages.

GET CHARMED

this week we have to use charms on our projects.
and of course, my project is a card--wink.

Birdhouse
7" tall x 4-3/8" wide
i couldn't capture the colors very well on some photos :(
i used cindy loo for the birdhouse: image# 40 and i used all its layers. the size is 4.75 inch tall.

it is hard to see but there is a butterfly charm by the spanish moss.

i paper pierced around the birdhouse and stickles was added to the heart and to the yellow ornament below.

the birds were punched from a fiskars punch--- three times on different papers--- and layered with adhesive foam for dimension.

the "grass" was done with another fiskars punch and embossed with a new tim holtz sizzix embossing folder called "cracked" using my cuttlebug.

the pretty patterned paper is from k&co. i also used kraft cardstock for the card base and american crafts on the solid colors.

come and play with us this week and
"get charmed"
at the cuttlebug spot. have some fun with us. it is nice to participate in challenges plus you never know if you will win some candy. ;)

--------
remember, this friday we will have our monthly
and i have some candy for a lucky participant.
--------

love you all
