It is not like I forgot I had to post them, it was just plain LAZINESS :) Well, not even that. There are some days I just don't feel like I can move to the pace of others, that makes more sense, right?  and then the time I have, I just want to relax, hehehe. Blogging world is a fast one, very fast venous and I just can't keep up with it some days.

Anyhow, enough of the blabbing here.

I told you guys I SINCERELY enjoyed every single card. So many different styles and to me every card was amazing. I will do the swap again, I just don't know when. The holidays are close and I imagine the blogging world would be at max speed then, lol,  not to say about our lifes. I know mine will be.

CARD SWAP AND CALLING ADRIANA

I went this morning to the P.O. and mailed out all the packages. 

All packages were mailed Priority Mail and with Delivery Confirmation.

Adriana,  I posted on your blog too that I need your address ASAP. The copy from Fedex is very faded and can't make your address and/or full name. As soon I get your address I will be sending your cards next day IF POSSIBLE.

Thanks again to all who participated in this swap. It was my very first experience being the hostess and it was a good one. Remember, to post the received cards on your blogs and name the person who made it.

I wanted to share my Fall-ing Leaves.

 I do not get many big leaves from my trees but from my neighbors,;(

and a pic of my son receiving one of the awards at the Youth of the Month ceremony with the president of the Exchange Club who were the ones who sponsored it.

CARD SWAP UPDATE

Card Swap participants

 This is a short update to tell you where we stand with the swap.

We started with 17 participants and went down to 14 participants. I already took photos of every single card and made a collage of each participants cards. I will be swapping them this coming week of September 20th and hopefully I can send them that same week.

I have to say Thanks again for your participation and also that I am very sad for the ones who couldn't make it.

DAILY LIFE and Card Swap update

Hello dear friends and followers and bloggers!

I haven't disappear from the face of the earth, lol

I was sick with a new pain medicine and having withdrawals from the other. 

Anyhow, I want to update the Card Swap situation here.

One of the participants couldn't make it, you will know who when you receive your cards. I do not want to mention names here. I know you all understand if it was you. Any how,

I still waiting for 3 packages... they also know who they are :) 

Labor Day today was no mail day so I am expecting at least one tomorrow. Let's cross fingers, lol.

As soon as I get them all, I will get them ready and announce IT here when I will be shipping them.

I apologize for the INCONVENIENCE even is not my fault but we all know and understand how life gets in the way and how much we procrastinate and then something happens and we end up rushing around like a chicken with out a head, lmbo, trying to get that thing done. I know we all know and we all have been there one time or another.

These were my babies before Lulu.

They were long hair dachshunds. The dapple one is Mr. Sparkles the Boss and the red one is Hershey the Bear.

Sparkles is waiting for me under the rainbow and I hope wherever Hershey is, he is well taken care of.

It took me a year after Hershey to even think about getting another fur baby. Lulu has filled some of the emptiness they left in my heart but I will miss them forever; until then.

The other day was trouble on Facebook. Apparently someone hacked/phished some accounts and I had some problems with people emailing me and asking what they did wrong and why I wanted them to stop being a friend and they were not even on my list.  :O 

I also got another one about a chain email to pass it to 12 more and so on, whatever. I really dislike those.

Anyhow, I found this joke on the internet about chain mails and I thought to share it with you. It's a bit long, just warned you!

* I also donated all my savings to the Amy Bruce account. A sick girl that was about to die in the hospital about 7,000 times.. (Poor girl! she’s been 7 since 1993)

* Still open to help somebody from Nigeria who wants to use my account to transfer his uncle’s property of $ 100 million, So much trustworthy.

You gotta get a good laugh here. I remember a few of those being sent to me a few years back.

I think I lost 5 followers from this incident at Facebook :(

7/15/10 CARD SWAP PARTICIPANTS UPDATE

Hello To All

I hope everyone is doing well. I know I was MIA again but we were in Boston looking at some other schools for my son. We just came back and my feet are "screaming" from all the walking they did, lol. We also felt in love with downtown Boston. We did not get to see it all but we loved what we saw. I have some pics to share with you but, I will upload them later in the week.

I heard from Sweet Harmony and due to her husband's accident she says she won't be able to participate. The update  is we are back to 16 cards. I just hope her husband has a fast recovery and that Sweet Harmony will be okay taking care of their business. Good Luck to them!

I am going to say Good Night for now.

Oh!!!!.......and as of today I haven't received anything from the Circle. I will be calling Provo Craft tomorrow. I did email them last week and got a reply but nothing has been done about it. I am in not a very good mood with this situation. I paid on the 21st and today is July 15 and nothing yet. Grrrr!

CARD SWAP CONFUSION ANYONE???....PLEASE READ :)

I want to apologize for the lack of skills here and for having you gals all confused with this my first swap. I will learn from this one to better myself explaining things. 

I promise!

We are doing Option #3

 This is the option where each participant will be doing 

one card for each month

and 

one card for

numbers 13, 14, 15 and 16.

Example:

-----if I am making one card for January: I chose New Year's Day for January.

-----Next, if I am making one card for February: I am choosing Valentine's Day for February.

-----if I am making one for the month of March I am doing St. Patrick's Day.

and so on and so on until we get to number 13, 14, 15 and 16.

For these numbers we will be doing:

 Number 13- Any Occasion Card

Number 14- Birthday Card

Number 15- Get well Card

Number 16- Sympathy Card

We should leave the inside blank and the sentiment should be on the front of the card.

What I mean by the sentiment on the front of the card is:

example; the happy Birthday or Happy Valentine's day or Happy Mother's Day 

should be on the front of the card.

Please, read carefully
 In the beginning I was thinking just making one card but maybe that is not that much fun and some of you mentioned more than one. The themes you suggested were All Occasion, B-days, and /or Holidays.

Since we are doing this swap as a team

I need everyone to agree or disagree 

until everyone is comfortable with what we can do.

  

I have 16 participants. There are 12 months and almost in every month we have a holiday. We can add 4 occasions to make it 16 and that is an even Steven, lol. 

***To make this a bit easier each person's number will be the number in the order you signed up.

Example:

#1- Jessica W

#12- Val 

and...

#16- Erin 

***I also found this "safe to visit" website  with funny monthly holidays/special days you can use if you want too, for any out of the box/out of the norm ideas, lol.

Here is 

My First Option/Suggestion: 

making only one card... and each one will have the month of the number in which they signed up for the swap. 

Example: 

Number 1- One New Year's Day Card for January (Jessica W.)

Number 12- One Christmas Card for December (Val)

Number 13- Any Occasion Card

Number 14- Birthday Card

Number 15- Get Well Card

Number 16- Sympathy Card

Here is 

My Second Option/Suggestion:

  making 16 cards...16 cards of your month including

numbers 13, 14, 15 and 16. You do not have to make the same card or the same holiday but it has to be for your month and that is where the website above comes in handy, lol.  The exception to this will be numbers 13, 14, 15 and 16 since we do not have 16 months right? but they still don't have to be the same card but it must be the theme for that number.

and 

My Third Option/Suggestion:

making one card for each month's holiday/special occasion including numbers 13, 14, 15 and 16 for a  total of 16 cards too.

WHAT ABOUT A CARD SWAP?

I never hosted a swap before but I am aware of what they call "flakers" lol.

I am thinking my first swap should be cards because 

that is what my blog is mainly about right now. 

I would like a theme for this swap too... 

Any ideas???

If you are interested I am looking to start this first swap with a max of 20 swappers. This way it will be easy to manage. 

I will start with the first 20 followers to sign up. 

REQUIREMENTS:

You must be a follower and you must have a blog. 

You must post the card you receive on your blog with a link to the person whom you received the card from.

I will be the hostess and all cards have to be sent to me and then I will distribute them and I will pay for this postage. You will have to pay to send them to me tough, fair?

I won't participate but I will send you all a handmade Thank You Card since I have no sponsors but my empty pockets, lol. 

I will also take pics of them, post them individually on my blog and I will add a link to your blog.

This is for fun, no stress about it... but please...make a nice card that the recipient will be very happy with. 

This detail will make this swap a success or a failure.

You will have 2 weeks from the day we start to send them to me and I will have a week to send them to you. Does it sounds good?
