HAPPY NEW YEAR IN PINK

hello all,
i hope you all had a great christmas!
mine was relaxed with happiness all around us.
dear son was able to spend 10 days with us and we had many get together's with family and friends.
not every year is this busy, :)

anyway, here i am sharing another handmade card using an svg from the digi playground.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
5.25" x 4" card
super cute!
my inspiration for the color pink on this card was from the pantone 2016 color of the year: rose quartz.

this is the svg i used for my card:
2016 Folded Card
it was designed by miss carina gardner.

i wanted to add a few more elements to it:
banner, branches, circle, stars and happy new year are die cuts NOT included in the file.

i also added some glitter with stickles for some new year's bling.
:D

and with this i am wishing you a great 2016 year.
may god bless you all!

RAISE YOUR GLASS...and a few fun techniques

hello all,
this project is the forgotten one, lol. i had drafted it and forgot about it but...the good thing is it could be used for new year's day inspiration. so here we go...

this is a cool card using stamps from joy clair, watercolors, microbeads and liquid embossing.
wow, what a mouth full of supplies, lol
-warning: big pics today :D-

SALUT
3-1/2" x 5-1/2"
i started with the background. after playing with it for a bit i finally got the look i was looking for: like shooting stars in a galaxy.

i used the martini glass without the olives, yeah i know. i do not drink so i don't know better, lol.  i covered it with clear liquid embossing (you can use glossy accents too) and sprinkled some clear microbeads i had in stash from ms and let it dry overnight.

next morning i distressed all the papers and stamped the sentiment with black ink.

and, i used a thin die for the piercing.

i did not have any sequins on hand but i had this chunky multi color glitter and i think it did the job. i love how it looks. i also added the silver string.

i certainly think it came out beautiful.
it screams new year celebrations to me!

below is the stamp set used and its matching digital dies.
