TOY SOLDIER FOR THE HOLIDAYS!!

Hello you!!!

These Toy Soldiers I made with a Tim Holtz Sizzix die.
So cute!

The pictures show the first out of 12 soldiers but couldn't resist to share them in case you want to make your own.

Toy Soldiers
-Set of 12-
The glittered cardstock is from Core-dinations and the boots are made of these glossy black cardstock I had for a while. I am sorry I can't remember who is the manufacturer.

This die does not come with the yellow dot for the hat but I thought it looks better if I added it, so I punched some with a paper punch and that is what I got. :)

I know you can't see it but I covered the plume and gloves with some shimmer. I used a shimmer pen, similar to the Wink of Stella, from the brand Art. They also have different colors but I bought the clear one to compare. I have to say I think I like it a bit more than the Wink of Stella. In case you want to try them, I purchased mine at ACM and of course, I used a coupon.

Hope you like the soldiers!!

Have a great day!

A BACK TO SCHOOL OWL CARD TAG

hello all,

this is the owl i had in my picture collage in the "previous post" that i couldn't use on my last project. remember i used
the cricut explore PNC (print and cut) feature and an svg's from the digi playground.

Back to School Card Tag
4.25"
i will try my best to explain the "how to" since i had some emails asking about the process.

step #1
-insert your images to the cricut design space-

step #2
-hide the back to school background by closing the eyes on the layer section to the right-

Step #3
-add two circles, change colors if desired, position them to the back of images (owl and back to school) , click "attach all" located at the top of virtual mat or by right clicking your mouse or touchpad, then click on "flatten" (see top right of pic) and
you will see the printer icon next to the layers sections instead the scissors for cut.

step#4
-click go and you will see the markings on your virtual cutting mat indicating it's ready to print-
***make sure you do not exceed the printing area. if you do exceed the printing area, go back and resize to a smaller size, hit go and print. after printing you are ready to cut in the explore.
if you have any questions, please contact me and i will try my best to help you.

here are some more pics of the card/tag:
-all the faux stitching was done with a white gel pen-

-the embellishment was made using a paper punch and a g studio clear stamp-

-the inside-

-cute little owl-
you also can cut the owl's layers individually or just some parts of it to add dimension and texture.

hope you enjoy my post for today.

see you next time,

A TRICK OR TREAT SCALLOPED PURSE TREAT HOLDER

for today's digi playground post i chose to make this cute scalloped purse and treat it as a trick or treat candy box. so easy to put together you do not even need glue because it has some nice tabs that you engage for the need of no glue at all, lol.
cool, huh?

Trick or Treat
(size around 5 inches in diameter and 2 inches in depth)
the main ingredient here is the scalloped purse svg. it was designed by miss samantha walker and you can find it
here.
i know i keep saying this but it is really so easy to put together, it will be perfect for a get together kid parent project for halloween, school, birthdays, weddings and the possibilities are almost endless with these type of treat boxes.

anyway, i have to tell you the pretty cardstock is from an oldie dcwv stack. i do not know if you can find it anymore.
the tag is from a paper punch, the sentiment from a g studio clear stamp and the ink from prima.

this collage of pics i made to show some of the process and i know you are wondering about the "back to school" and "owl" pic. hehe.
well, i tell you that was what i had in mind.
i wanted to add them but i cut them too big. they will be saved for a round card tough because i love how they turned out.
i used my explore and design space to print and cut them and that is why i wanted to include them.
i wanted you to see you can print and cut too.
they are both svg files from the digi playground and i linked them for you if interested.

and...did you notice the tabs for a glueless project?
i think is such a nice feature.

this is it for today.
i thank you again for taking the time to visit and i hope you have a great week.
if you have any questions, please, do not hesitate to contact any of us.
we are here to help.

BIRTHDAY BALLOONS BIRTHDAY TAG

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
to you all.

anyway here i am sharing some findings and a b-day tag.

i have been purging items from my craft room and it has been an overwhelming joy, lol

i made this tag with some findings.

remember the time when most of us went to the dollar store to get

'miss elizabeth" embellishments stickers? lol.
we couldn't get enough, hehe

well, the gorgeous balloons are from her.

it was hubby's b-day and i had bought him a jar of twizzlers.
-he loves them-

and i needed a card, well i had made a card which turn into a tag, this tag.

happy, happy, happy birthday
-the papers are from basic grey-

 -hand-stamped the sentiment-
the cupcake was fuzzy cut from a cardstock sheet.

-the hearts were punched out and the pretty ribbon was an upcycle from regina's cutting cafe dt exchange-
i had saved it because i loved the color.

 and
-this is the back,
a mini pouch to insert my personal greeting-

-hubby loved his twizzlers and the tag, of course. he is my #1 fan.
 (wink-wink)

happy birthday to him!!!

see you later!

BITS AND PIECES SPEECH BUBBLES

i do not know about you but i am getting a bit overwhelmed with all the bits and pieces in this cart, lol
(i can feel this is going to be a short series)

0h! and did i tell you i got the monthly cricut subscription? i love it. just looking at all those images in color opens a new world of possibilities and dreams. ha! i can also feel mine are dreams, just dreams, hehe,  because i am so busy these days with nothing. when i say nothing is the days just go by and there i am, stuck doing nothing, lol. oh well, pain is insane. gotta make the best out of it all.
the weather has also been insane, it feels we are in the ice age, brrr!
(have been training lulu to use her "needs" pads since summer, in anticipation of bad weather and also for when we go out and she has to stay behind. she does pretty good. i am proud of her. she is a smart cookie that lulu is.)

onto the bnp series: they were working on the design space software yesterday and i was having many difficulties. so i stopped, did some chores and took care of lulu's nails. by the time i was able to do any crafting i was already done for the day but i had done another cut for etsy so i will share that with you today.

the green one for st patrick's day :)

and another love day one in red
hoping i will be in better shape and on time next wednesday,
until then,

take care.

XOX BANNER

hello bloggers, family and friends.
hope you are ok.
we skipped the blizzard and got just a few inches of snow. i will put pics at the end of the post.
up north of us were the worse.
hopefully, all are well and no one lost nothing.

today i want to start the series using bits and pieces
they will be scheduled to go up on wednesdays.

i was late with my first, :(
i started making this banner yesterday, then it got too late to take pics.
i took the pics this morning in a hurry so excuse me if they are not the best.
i have many things to do today and wanted to post asap in case i do not have a chance later on.

here we go.

XOX
a valentine's banner

if you will be following this series i think it is important to explain this:
the images in design space are not in the same order of the handbook, as you might already know.
i will be identifying any images used in these projects by the number they were assigned in design space.

---polka dot tag is #M100103
---hearts #MFB1D2
---font is from cake basics

the tags were cut at 4.25"
but you can cut them smaller or bigger, it is your preference.

---hope you like it---
i do not think i will be able to do every single image but i will do the ones i like the most.

now here are some pics from the snow:

have a great week fellows,
and thanks or taking a peek.

NO WINGS...

hello all,

not too long ago i was the lucky winner of a beautiful cling stamp set from the
Paper Wings Production.

i finally had time to play with the stamp, here is my project:

No Wings...
-this is the sentiment i used-
(hence the name of my sign/project)

a bit about this project:
the wood patterned paper is from 7 dots studio. it is from the same
nature walk collection i used for my mini.

i covered some shaped chipboard with this "musical blooms" paper and inked and roughed the edges of it. i also used some walnut ink from tsukineko to make the blotches you see near the bird.

i stamped the bird using some colorbox mix'd media black ink because i wanted a soft look.

for the sentiment i used ranger archival ink because for this i wanted a crisp look.

these birds on a branch are also from the the same stamp set i won: Bird Beauty.
i embossed them with lindseys embossing powders: midnight copper and tannerbaum green gold.

the dripping you see covered with the midnight copper embossing powder was stamped using a recollection stamp set called: splat.
some jute and some black wire makes my project a mini hanging sign.

this is the stamp set i chose.
the sentiments are so encouraging and the images so pretty.

well, and this is it for today.

hope you enjoyed my project.
i wanted to share with you the pretty stamp.

i am adding it to the aviary for this month's challenge. it ends tomorrow the 27th at 11pm cst...i am running late. :D

have a great week and a better 4th of july.

thanks for stopping by flowerdisco's scrap hut.

SPECIAL DAY....a handmade tag

hello and welcome all!
this is flowerdisco.

today is my turn to post on nani ke ola's blog and my project for today is the cutest tag of them all.
(just kidding-just kidding).

Special Day
a handmade tag
the tag's base was cut at 2.25" x 4" out of this "dreamy"cardstock from "chic tags" (very thick cs). the design has different saying on the diagonal yellow lines.
some of the phrases are: celebrate us, happiness defined, i've got sunshine and so on.
also "perfectly handy" to cut out the strips and add them to your projects.
i chose today to use it as my tag's background.
here it shows you both sides and i think both sides are adorable. i even cut out one of the clouds to add to my project.

and what do you think about the sequins?
and you know what??? they are rub ons...don't they look real?
oh my...absolutely crazy about them.
(the sequins also come in wood veneer)
i love rub ons....don't you?

the pink polka dot paper is also from chic tags and it has been named:
"lovely"... and lovely indeed.
and the wood veneers. they have been so very popular for a long while. this one is a banner and it is beautiful. look at it again. it looks like it folds. super pretty. the package comes with 18 pieces: 3 of each one.

the blueish banner i handmade using cardstock from color hills and using one of their stamps with that font i love.

my first time using any inks from prima (ingvild bolme ones). i used the old road (grayish in color) chalk ink: wow...how smooth.  i am so very impressed.

on the pic below you see pretty flowers on a grid paper: they are mini (2x2) squared embellishments. super cute. the package comes with 24 pretty-pretty squares.  i do not own a wink of stella glitter pen but i do have something similar so i went ahead and trace all the lines that made out the flowers. i also added a dot of glitter in the center of the sequins. hard to see, i know but such a nice detail.
and...
see the peek a boo white border at the end? done with a martha stewart paper punch. i also used another ms to edge the pink mixed media paper i made and used here.

did you notice the background papers above? they have small banners with words as a bonus. what a nice addition.

anyway...this is the entire tag and i really hope it inspires you to make some.

as always, all supplies have been linked for your convenience.

thank you so much for stopping by.
have a great week.

A PAPER WINGS PRODUCTION CHALLENGE ENTRY

ANYTHING GOES
challenge

it has been a long time since i have participated in a challenge.

Hop-Hop
tag
the base for my tag comes from a cricut cartridge called cricut everyday and the bunny is from kate's abc's (another cricut cart).

the pretty patterned paper is from Glitz/Finley and so are the letters (hop-hop).

the velvety green tail was done using a mini glue dot covered with velvet powder from doodlebug. i think is so cute. the grass was done with a martha stewart paper punch.

the ribbon is from a roll i had ordered a while back and never used. it was white and i sprayed it with some green moss color i have in my stash.

this challenge ends tonight...i know i am late but if you still want to participate, here is the link to:

-thanks for stopping by-

have a great day!

A SWEET TAG...yes, yes, another tag

the tag maker lady here again, lol

this is my last project from the september card kit from artful delight.
and the beginning of the end of our term with artful delight. that gives me one more card kit for the month of october and 4 more project to share with you. it all has been so sweet, hence the name for my card.

Sweet
4" round

you already know all the supplies for my card are from this september's card kit and i made the circle with the cricut expression. i say circle and not circles because the image i chose has an outline and the patterned paper is double sided so from one cut i got two. like the  BOGO, hehe

the leaves are from a martha stewart punch (i guess not all the supplies are from the kit) but i had to give the beautiful flower some leaves, right? right!
the "sweet" letters are from the 12 x 12 alpha sheet you get from glitz (dapper man collection) and i like them so much because they are skinny (like i used to be- lmbo).

and here you have it....so sweet :)

my sweet neighbor liked this tag so much i am going to be very nice and gift it to her.
i told her the colors of this paper reminds me of fall and her pumpkin pies...that was a hint!!!---maybe i get a freshly baked one soon. hehe, let's see!

hope you have a great week and again,
thank you so much for stopping by my blog.

ENDLESS GRATITUDE...a tag for a friend

hello fellow bloggers,

this tag is for a friend, it will be on top of a small present so maybe we can call it a gift wrap topper instead a tag. we make these pretty projects, we give them names and titles. we label them but the truth is, most of them can be used in any way we want to use them, am i right or what? lol.
sooo, if it inspires you today,  make it and use it as it fits your needs. :D

Endless Gratitude
2.75" x 4.75"
cute, isn't it? not my everyday colors but they still a pretty color combo.

if you receive the artful delight kit you already know most of my supplies for the tag are from this september kit.
the base patterned paper is from the authentique "strong collection".

i die cut the doily with a quickcutz (antique doily) die i purchased at j's and cut it in half. the paper i used for the doily is from the same authentique collection "strong".
the pretty and unique sentiment is from paper smooches "many thanks" stamp set. the flower is from prima and i distressed it a bit with brown dye ink.

i embossed the white cardstock from bazzill (this one came in with another kit) using a cuttlebug embossing folder.

the burlap is the remnant of the mini pocket from maya road i used in this card. the jute is also from maya road.
i used the glue gun to attach the burlap and the flower and the mini bows (just for the fun of it), hehe.

and another "this is it" for today.
i hope you like it too, i know my friend will. she always makes me feel so good and now is  my turn to make her feel good too.

thanks for stopping by flowerdisco and know that i still value you so very much.

have a great week!
