A PUMPKIN SPICE BLOG PROJECT...mini square cards

welcome
The Pumpkin Spice Blog
this is agnes and today is my turn to share with you a card project i made with mother's day in mind, after all Mother's Day is in two weeks.
anyway, i want to wish you all a very
Happy Mother's Day.
(relax and relax and let them take you out for dinner, that is what i do anyway)

i made three 4 inches squared cards for today's inspiration. i was just thinking i better have some handy this year and not rush at the last moment to find or make one.

Most Loved Mom
4" square
for the the floral background and the banner i used a mother's love 6x6 pad from my my mind's eye. the banner i hand cut, the orange diecut behind the chipboard button was cut using a cricut cartridge. the chipboard button is also from my mind's eye (the sweetest thing collection).

my second card,
A Mother's Day
4" square
all the element of my card except the background paper are from the same  a mother's love paper pad from my mind's eye. the sentiment is from a retired clear stamp set from my pink stamper. i think you still can find some of her stamps here. the flower, frame and brackets are from sizzix dies.

and my last card,
Mom
4" square
here i used an assortment of items:
the photo corner and the speech bubble are from traditions from carta bella stickers.
the wreath paper and border are  from a mother's love and the chipboard heart is from  the fourteen collection from crate paper. the white paper was embossed with my cuttlebug and the cloud embossing folder is from darice. the mom word on this card it is also from another my pink stamper set

all the products i used from the pumpkin spice shop have been linked for easy access.

this trio of mother's day cards are going to be handy in anyone's household, :)

i hope you like them and whatever you decide to make, do not forget to have fun with it.

see you next turn around,

take care now and have a beautiful day no matter what!
xx

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Hello my friends!
this absenteeism has become a norm--lol. it is like being on vacations--hehe

i hope all of you are doing well and no disasters have been around you. yesterday we had thunderstorms and a tornado watch :(

remember LIL ABNER????? i do not remember if i mentioned the freddy awards but they are like the tony awards in my area. if you click on the names it will take you to wikipedia. But, all i want to tell you is our school won "the best overall production of a musical" with LIL ABNER. we got nominated for 7 different awards and after 3 plus hours of not winning any of them....yay!!!! we won the last and most important of them all....you know my son was LIL ABNER, right? i am so excited for them. here is the link.
these kids work so hard and are so very talented. you do not feel you are watching high school kids but professionals, and i am referring to all of them, not just our school. we the parents were so loud when we won...hehe. watch some of the videos and you will see i am not exaggerating. :P :P :P

well, onto my card.

Happy Father's Day
5" x 4"
did blogger changed the font setting---????? i have to keep changing it and it is frustrating---  i do like AR BONNIE for my watermark but i do not like it for my blog :( ---oh well!

well, i used one of my pink stampers clear stamps for the sentiment. it is called "Happiest Moments" and i used the "Happy Father's Day" one.

i chose "a child's year"  for the image. you can find it on page #43, using the shift key. i cut it at 3 inches tall. a bit of embellishments and voila. hope you like it and if you are pressed for time, this card is so very easy to make.

---------------

NOTES: things are slowing down here at home for now. but still so much to do. i am enjoying working on the yard but not the pain that comes with it/after it :(. last night i had so much pain and when i finally fell asleep i dreamed of my doctors giving me more pain killers so i could sleep---imagine that!!!

well, not boring you with my dilemmas.

-------------------

i love you all
and can't wait to be here on blogging land again.

AND, i have been reading all your comments and i have been feeling all your love too. THANKS SO-SO-SO MUCH---
IT REALLY MEANS THE WORLD TO ME HAVING YOU GUYS NEXT TO ME.

--- MANY, MANY HUGS AND LOVE BACK TO YOU---

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

it has been a while since i posted something but i still around. in my country there is this saying: weeds never die, hehe. that's me!

Happy Mother's Day
5.5" by 3.75"
anyway, i had no idea of what i was doing here, lol, but i knew i wanted to use at least once, the kate's abcs cart.
the mushrooms you will find on page 57----cut them at 3.25".
the butterfly is from the same page and was cut at one inch.

this frame is from sizzix and the awesome greeting is from mps
i love this font.

oh! the dry embossing was done with the script texture folder from cuttlebug.

a bit of inking, a bit of bling.
something a bit different but not bad at all :P.

I hope you guys are doing well.
-----
remember, this saturday is national scrapbooking day (NSD) and robyn will be celebrating with ideas, challenges, giveaways and new stamp releases. mark your calendars so you do not miss all the fun.
i really enjoy participating in the different challenges and  hope you do too.

ALL TIED UP-THE CUTTLEBUG SPOT WEEKLY CHALLENGE

hello there...hope you all are doing wonderful.
we started receiving school acceptances from my son and i can't wait to see where he decides to go. so far we have received 2 out of 6. one of them already told about how much aid he will be getting. i do not want to jinx anything so i will wait to tell until we have a final decision.
BUT, i do have to add my son was awarded with the "Student of the Year" and he got another award for "Altruism". remember he was awarded with the student of the month and we went for a dinner on his honor? we have another dinner to go, i just do not have the date yet. :)
anyhow, Congrats to my son who well deserves it. he works very hard at what he does. he puts his life and soul into it everything he does. we are so very happy and proud of him.
let's wish him well on all his endevours.
thanks-!!

well, today is tuesday, march 15 and our term with the cuttlebug spot is coming to an end at the end of the month. But in the meantime, let's continue enjoying the process.
this week we have:
twine or string... any kind like cotton or hemp to work with.
i did not have any twine or hemp avail so i used some bits of raffia i had left over and tried to incorporate it onto my design. talking about my design...my design was a scraplift this time. i saw it at paper crafts magazine and decided to use it.
below is the photo of my inspiration
and i wish i did a better job, but i guess i was still in a rut even when inspired by a beautiful card like this one.

Happy Easter
4.25" tall by 3.25" wide
i used "a child's year" for the card base: image#19 (using the hide contour for the star).
the card base is a teal color from bazzill and the patterned papers are from making memories vintage findings collection--bought at michael's for $1.39 (48/8x8 sheets) excellent buy. that was a while-while ago :(

you can see the raffia here. it is supposed to represent an egg nest.:( the eggs are from the same cart (acy) image#6 using shift and the icon feature. they were cut at one inch. the spots you see on them were done with a versamark watermark ink using one of my pink stamper stamps first releases called
"simply sweet occasions". the eggs were also embossed using my the cuttlebug "swiss dots" embossing folder. the "happy easter" greeting is also from my pink stamper . this one is from the "happiest moments" collection.
the golden dots were made using a dimensional fabric paint in a light bronze color.

and this is the inside of the card.

i do not know if you have been playing along with us at the cuttlebug spot but if you haven't...stretch yourself out and join us in the weekly challenge.:P
we will have two more challenges and we will be done at the end of march, and most of the time nilda has some kind of giveaway for a lucky participant.

click here to see what my other team mates have made for this challenge, get inspired and have some fun with us. good luck on your entry.

remember this is for fun...

love you all--!!

WELL WISHES

hello

me me, the winner of the blog hop contacted me and soon i will be making a little surprise goodie box for her. i am very happy she did get my email and claimed her prize.
congrats to me me--!!

i made these two cute tags using another set of clear stamps from my pink stamper.
Well Wishes
the tags are from a child's year image #11 using shift and the tag feature.
the flowers are from accent essentials image #46 using the shift key. the leaves are also from the same cart: shift and images # 41 and 42.
i misted the flowers with water, i crunched them, dried them with the heat gun, inked them and glued the layers on top of each other. they were different sizes, varying a few eights of an inch. the leaves were also misted, crunched and inked. really easy to make. the sentiment i used is from the set below in case you want to check it out.
HAPPIEST MOMENTS

thanks for stopping by
and a big hug to all.

HAPPY EVERYTHING

and an mps blog hop and health update.
---
i went yesterday to the reuma doctor for the first time and she was very nice. she will be examining some tests i have had done, but all it seems to point out to a bad flare up of my condition. i am back on one of my old medicine. i thought that medicine was not really working, but she says none of them will take completely my pain away--mo magic wand here either. :(  it is not the first time i hear that.
this is a condition i have to live with for the rest of my life and it will flare up for the rest on my life too. i have to go for a blood test for lupus. i never had that test done tough, let's see.  i have had every other therapy, massages, injections, rx that has shred my stomach and more... and nothing really works. oh well...put my
"big girl smile on again", and keep forward. that is all i can do :)
i feel much better and last night i was able to sleep the whole night. i still have my son's cold and now my lower back pain has moved to my middle back, but i should be back to "normal" soon.
---
my mps blog hop winner will be announced sometime tomorrow th, jan. 20.

---
now onto a card i made the other day with a new set of clears stamp from my pink stamper, robyn.

Happy Everything
5 x 4
I needed to think happy these days and this sent
image got my mind in gear.:P
made with kraft cardstock and K&Co embellishments.
i really liked how clean the sentiment came out. i used a colorbox ink for it, very nice.
if you would like to see more of this Happiest Moments set,
where she has lots more to choose from too:)

i think it came out very pretty.

----

I also wanted to show you a pic of the ice storm we just had. if look a bit closer you can see the ice shining on top of the snow that we already had.
  this is it for now,
i will be back tomorrow with a winner for the blog hop.
hugs to all and thanks again for being there to hear me vent ;p
