IT'S DAPPER MAN!

hope you all had a great weekend!

today i am using patterned paper and stickers from the dapper man collection from glitz designs that came with my artful delight monthly card kit. wow! that was a mouthful of words, lol.

It's Dapper Man
3" x 6"
as i said in my short video here (where i show you the contents of the monthly kit), i fell in love with the colors of this collection. all so earthy and manly at the same time.
the back of the patterned paper is the wood grain brown i used for the die cut (from the suburbia cricut cartridge) and both are swell. (that wood grain is almost real, :D)

i believe using the wood and cork elements gave this card some pizzaz to this manly card.
the wooden ruler is from maya road and the cork arrow is from fancy pants (all included in the monthly kit-     see here).

the stickers (it's dapper man) are from the 12 x 12 alpha and stickers sheet from the dapper man collection (also included in the kit).

i also added a plain stitch to frame and encase it all and here is my project for today:
  "Dapper Man"
-lol-
hope you enjoy your visit here and that you found some inspiration using the contents of this month's card kit.

thank you so much for stopping by!

A PUMPKIN SPICE BLOG CHALLENGE...welcoming 2013

this week's challenge at the pumpkin spice blog is to make something with a new year's theme. it will run from saturday the 5th to friday the 11th.
we invite you to join us!

2013
3D frame
 this is my entry.
the lady is from the cricut cartridge suburbia.
( i have this cartridge since it first came out because i had to have it, lol ).
anyway, i have the suburbia lady welcoming the new year 2013 on her entry doorway. i know you can not see it on the pic but, i used some clear micro beads from martha stewart and i spread them over the door. it does looks awesome in real life.
i also added an easel on the back cut with a tim holtz sizzix die, for display purposes.

don't you love these wood grain papers? they are from mme: miss caroline-dilly dally
the door cut is from "a frightful affair" another cricut cartridge. it is a halloween one but you will be surprise what else you can use it for. the banner is a clear stamp, also from mme: everyday fun embossed with a tim holtz red distressed embossing powder.

do you like that embellishment behind the 2013?
you can find it on the suburbia cart, page 53. it is the base for a retro clock. i love it!
the 2013 cut outs are from a christmas mme paper pad.

i just love how this ensemble turned out. i have it displayed in my living room.

thanks for stopping by!
 i love when you do.
