WE LOVE FALL...using stamps to make a background

hello fellows,
hope you are all doing great.

i want to start congratulating the new artful delight team.
they all are super talented ladies and i am sure you will enjoy their projects too.

-here is my last card for the team using the october card kit-

We Love Fall
3.75" x 5"
let's start with this sneak peek :D

i have been anxious to use that beautiful fabric flower since i got the kit, but because i hardly plan what i am going to do, at the end it did not fit with what i made...but here it is, Finally!!!

the sentiment is from the webster pages sticker sheet. it has so many beautiful sentiments and some you can use as tags too.

i used decorative scissors for the border, haha. they have been collecting dust for a long time now and before they rust on me, well, i decided to give them a shot again. i am glad i did.

in this kit we received two stamp sets and this one i chose for my background is from "paper smooches": gently seasoned.
i used a chalk ink for a soft effect and i did not worried if i did not press hard enough. to the contrary, i am glad i did not 'cause i am very satisfied with the results.

here is a bit of a closer look.
the orange cardstock i used for the base is a bazzill one and it also came in this month's kit.

and a sad good buy or see you later to artful delight.

after today i am just staying with the nani ke ola dt for a bit longer and i am planning to semi retired from blogging for a short while until i get my attic stuff in order and de-clutter as much as i can. this hobby has taken a hold of my life and you know i suffer from chronic pain and can do just so much. i choose to do what i enjoy and put the pain in the back burner for a bit. oh well, this is life and this is what i have to deal with. no pity here, please.
i will do my best to continue with my etsy shop to make a bit extra cash to help my son with his college expenses. and i will also be de-cluttering my craft room to make room for sewing. hehe----all these are just plans and goals that are not written in stone. hehe. maybe i come back next week and say oh no, what was i thinking when i said i was going into hibernation, lol.

you all have a great week and go and see what the new team has in store for you. remember they offer a monthly challenge and a random winner will receive a kit: scrapbooking or card. the choice will be yours.

take care now and i will see you soon, bear with me for a bit.

and, happy halloween you all who enjoy it.

AUTUMN DAYS...mini trifold book

hello all, happy fall again

the cooler days went away for now and the days have been so nice.
no need to move out of state just yet, lol.

here i have a project i made for the artful delight blog. our term is almost over, one more week (next week) and i am feeling sad, :(
this has been one of the greatest teams i have ever been in and you all know i had a few disappointments lately, hehe.
i will miss this group very much so.

but anyway,
here is the mini trifold book where you can add some journaling or pictures or both and carry it with you or have it displayed at home.

Autumn Days
-mini trifold book-
this is the first peek at it, hehe

i used my cricut gypsy for the welding of some up-side down pennants to make the base of the trifold. i then used one of the bazzill cardstock to cut it out.

-all the supplies used in the making of this project are from the october card kit below with exception of the wooden polaroid frame (from the sept. kit) and the hearts (from a punch i own). of course the sewing was done with my sewing machine and the thread is from my stash, lol.

i cut the individual patterned papers a bit smaller than the base after adding an outline which i turned backwards to show the other side of the paper.

the "arrow" shaped paper clip holds all the sections together.

here is another view of the trifold.

hope you enjoy it and give you some ideas.
any questions, please just ask away, :)

also, if you have time to join our monthly challenge do so now because time is running out. you all know if you win, you will receive a kit of your choice: scrapbooking or card...hoping you join us.

and....
thanks for stopping by and i hope you have a great week too!

-here is the card kit pic and within the link to the challenge-
nice, huh?
:D

AUTUMN MEMORIES...gift box and mini banner

hello all,
hope you are doing fab and enjoying the cooler weather. as for me i think i am getting tired of it, lol, and i am already dreading the snow. but, is nothing i can do about it but enjoy it while is there, right?
anyhow, today i am sharing a gift box with gift: a mini banner.
actually, i am thinking to make more of these cuties to give to my thanksgiving dinner company as a way of gratitude.

Autumn Memories
-hexagon gift  box-
i used my cricut expression and the life is a party cricut cartridge to make the gift box and to cut the side panels with patterned paper. i cut it at 7.75" and used the brown bazzill super sturdy cardstock that came with my card kit from artful delight.
i believe the color name is "candy bar" like a hershey chocolate bar (my fav chocolate in the whole wide world).
actually, all the supplies for the box are from the card kit.

after i cut my box, i cut the panel sides and used that lovely leaves paper from basic grey called peach cobbler  (i do not understand how  they called it peach cobler but hey, that is not for me to ponder over it, hehe)
you can see the wooden elements here. they are such a great accent.

the mini banner is just adorable. it turned out super cute. i used all the lawn fawn sequences and threaded them with that mustard color floss (from my stash).

here is a better look---i couldn't take a pic while hanging. not good light in the house.

and so sorry i have so many pics, (trying to get you a good visual despite the conditions)

hope you enjoyed my project for the artful delight design team today.

i want to remind you and/or invite you to our monthly challenge following this month's sketch. artful delight also carries a scrapbooking kit and therefor they also have a monthly scrapbooking sketch for you to follow. no excuses, hehe
the prize is a kit..nothing to loose about but have fun and hoping you win.
here is the link again:

have a great week!

I'AM SO THANKFUL..new october card kit

this month's card kit from artful delight is full of fall colors and i love it.
we even got two stamp sets in this one, wohoo!
i am showing you the mini mess i made making my card at the end.... hard to choose what paper i wanted to use but i ended up using this floral from little yellow bicycle called fall floral. love the rich colors of it.

I'm Thankful
3" x 4.5"
the base of the card is from bazzill and i also love that mustard color, actual name is "golden coins". the bottom part looks a bit crooked in the pic but i give you my word is not like that in real person. when i shoot in macro mode, even the tiny details get exaggerated, lol

i added some zig zags with my sewing machine, of course. the wooden elements are from this oct kit too. i inked them a bit with brown ink.
the mesh is super cool. it is not a common one. the texture is rough but so neat. i added a piece of it as you can see. :)

with this month's sketch in mind, :D, i added a piece of the same cardstock (i used the back side of it) and stamped one of the sentiments from the lawn fawn stamp set incluced in the kit. the other stamp i was telling you in the beginning it is from paper smooches. i stitched the sides.

hope you give a chance to our monthly challenge. this is the sketch you need to follow and the link to artful delight.

i did not make a video of the contents this month because no one is really watching them and it is not worthy all the time i put into it. but that is ok. here is a pic of it.
if you win the challenge you also win a kit of your choice. you will be really happy with any kit you choose: scrapbooking or card.

A SWEET TAG...yes, yes, another tag

the tag maker lady here again, lol

this is my last project from the september card kit from artful delight.
and the beginning of the end of our term with artful delight. that gives me one more card kit for the month of october and 4 more project to share with you. it all has been so sweet, hence the name for my card.

Sweet
4" round

you already know all the supplies for my card are from this september's card kit and i made the circle with the cricut expression. i say circle and not circles because the image i chose has an outline and the patterned paper is double sided so from one cut i got two. like the  BOGO, hehe

the leaves are from a martha stewart punch (i guess not all the supplies are from the kit) but i had to give the beautiful flower some leaves, right? right!
the "sweet" letters are from the 12 x 12 alpha sheet you get from glitz (dapper man collection) and i like them so much because they are skinny (like i used to be- lmbo).

and here you have it....so sweet :)

my sweet neighbor liked this tag so much i am going to be very nice and gift it to her.
i told her the colors of this paper reminds me of fall and her pumpkin pies...that was a hint!!!---maybe i get a freshly baked one soon. hehe, let's see!

hope you have a great week and again,
thank you so much for stopping by my blog.

YOU EQUAL AWESOME...made with a brown paper bag

happy fall to you all
the weather in my area has been beautiful, cool and crispy. i hope you are enjoying it too.

today's post for artful delight was inspired by a pin from pinterest. i will show it at the end of the post.

You = Awesome
Me = Grateful
using a small brown paper bag
(all supplies minus the paper bag are founded in the artful delight september card kit)

folding the bag in certain way to have a pocket where you can insert a note, money, tickets or whatever you would like. i stitched the two patterned papers with my sewing machine onto the bag, hard to see because of the edges being distressed.

i cut strips of the brown panel paper into strips to add some of the sentiments from the paper smooches stamp set called many thanks ALSO included in the september card kit, and tuck them inside the pouch. i made the semi circle on the patterned paper with a circle punch to match the one already in the paper bag. i added it the rounded fleur d lis paper clip just because to me it was the perfect spot :D.
i wrapped it all in jute and also added one of the small arrow chipboard on the center of the bow.

more arrow chipboards where added pointing to the chipboard cloud where i stamped another sentiment from the paper smooches stamp set.
this project has many uses....just use your imagination, :D

if you would like to join us in this month's challenge, please click here. you will also find more projects there made with our september kits (scrapbooking and/or card).

hope you enjoy it.
here is my inspiration from that pin

have a great week!

ENDLESS GRATITUDE...a tag for a friend

hello fellow bloggers,

this tag is for a friend, it will be on top of a small present so maybe we can call it a gift wrap topper instead a tag. we make these pretty projects, we give them names and titles. we label them but the truth is, most of them can be used in any way we want to use them, am i right or what? lol.
sooo, if it inspires you today,  make it and use it as it fits your needs. :D

Endless Gratitude
2.75" x 4.75"
cute, isn't it? not my everyday colors but they still a pretty color combo.

if you receive the artful delight kit you already know most of my supplies for the tag are from this september kit.
the base patterned paper is from the authentique "strong collection".

i die cut the doily with a quickcutz (antique doily) die i purchased at j's and cut it in half. the paper i used for the doily is from the same authentique collection "strong".
the pretty and unique sentiment is from paper smooches "many thanks" stamp set. the flower is from prima and i distressed it a bit with brown dye ink.

i embossed the white cardstock from bazzill (this one came in with another kit) using a cuttlebug embossing folder.

the burlap is the remnant of the mini pocket from maya road i used in this card. the jute is also from maya road.
i used the glue gun to attach the burlap and the flower and the mini bows (just for the fun of it), hehe.

and another "this is it" for today.
i hope you like it too, i know my friend will. she always makes me feel so good and now is  my turn to make her feel good too.

thanks for stopping by flowerdisco and know that i still value you so very much.

have a great week!

IT'S DAPPER MAN!

hope you all had a great weekend!

today i am using patterned paper and stickers from the dapper man collection from glitz designs that came with my artful delight monthly card kit. wow! that was a mouthful of words, lol.

It's Dapper Man
3" x 6"
as i said in my short video here (where i show you the contents of the monthly kit), i fell in love with the colors of this collection. all so earthy and manly at the same time.
the back of the patterned paper is the wood grain brown i used for the die cut (from the suburbia cricut cartridge) and both are swell. (that wood grain is almost real, :D)

i believe using the wood and cork elements gave this card some pizzaz to this manly card.
the wooden ruler is from maya road and the cork arrow is from fancy pants (all included in the monthly kit-     see here).

the stickers (it's dapper man) are from the 12 x 12 alpha and stickers sheet from the dapper man collection (also included in the kit).

i also added a plain stitch to frame and encase it all and here is my project for today:
  "Dapper Man"
-lol-
hope you enjoy your visit here and that you found some inspiration using the contents of this month's card kit.

thank you so much for stopping by!

AND...

TODAY, TOMORROW AND SOMEDAY...my garden will grow

what a title for my post today, right? hehe
but we have been working so hard this summer for my little dream garden, all i wish is "today, tomorrow or someday" it will grow into a beautiful one <3.

anyway, this month's artful delight card kit is as fantastic as all the previous ones. it is so great to have a bit of everything all in one yummylicious monthly package. i can't hardly wait for the next one.
(i made another short video, to share the contents of it all. you can see close and personal what is in it. i know artful delight has a photo and description but i like to show it to you this way. i do not know if you care or not but it will be at the bottom of this post).

Today, Tomorrow & Someday
3.75" x 5"
the sentiment is from pink paislee's "portfolio" collection. it could not have been more fitting.
love, love, love the yellow chipboard flowers from my mind's eye charm/carefree collection. i am totally in love with them. and you will love that mini burlap pocket...awesome!

i needed to show off that baby too and i decided to mount it on some foam tape.. :)

the chipboard hearts are from the same carefree collection and they represent my love for gardening and nature.

a bit of distressing because well, it is not easy work,...ask my hubby (hehe)

a bit of jute wraps it all together and there you have it: a flower garden in a pocketful of love..oh my...i am super silly today. lol.
you know it is almost fall, son is back in college, house feels empty and i have to make the best of it all. so excuse my silliness. :D
a very meaningful and whimsical card, in my opinion.
(hope you like it)

almost forgot to add that the dark yellow base of the card is a bazzill cardstock and the patterned paper is authentique's (strong collection). (senior moment there, hehe)

remember artful delight's monthly challenge for a chance to win one of the kits. they always are so much fun.

psss!!!!       here is the mini video showing the contents of the card kit.

thanks so much for stopping by
and,
-have a great week-

THINKING OF YOU...

hello all,
"thinking of you" is the last card using my sweet august artful delight card kit.
as always it was packed with so many pretty papers, embellishments and a darling stamp set.

i can't wait to have the september one. i bet it will be as fabulous as the rest of them. the ladies who are in charge do a great job putting the kits together. i have love every single one and i have been able to work with different brands i normally do not find locally.

Thinking of You
4.25 x 5.5"
(i haven't make this size of card in a while-:)
for this card i used fancy pants patterned papers and chipboard stars. there is a thin strip of patterned paper that is from crate paper (the 4th one from the top).

the tag is a die cut but it was just a bit short of what i wanted so i added a bit of the same crate paper i used for the thin strip and joined it with the supper pretty washi tape from queen & co. you will see it better in the pic below.
the green banners were stamped using two of the jillibean soup stamps and the "thinking of you" sentiment skinny banner is from pebbles.

on this pic you can see the strip that was added to the bottom of the tag with the washi tape.

i know is a very busy card but all came together so well. i am so happy with the cluster of elements on the tag complimenting the pattern paper with the cameras, the stars and the film strip. we even see a little piece of heaven (first top strip of blue paper)...hehe.

hope you enjoy my card for today.

on another note, if you did not have time to join in our monthly challenge, mark it on your calendar for this coming month of september. the winner receives a kit of their choice: card or scrapbooking.

-thank you so much for stopping by the hut-

ENJOY!...with a bit of washi

haha,
a bit of washi tape on the top right corner and above the pretty flower is all this card needed to have my approval, lol
i even sew a double stitch with my sewing machine and at the end..the super cool and trendy film washi tape did the job...in my opinion that it, wink!!!

Enjoy!

using my artful delight super awesome kit.

the base is the most beautiful robin eggs blue from bazzill and the fancy pants memories captured patterned papers give this cool card lots of personality. i am loving the chevron colors and the circles and stars.
the so pretty flower and the chalkboard sticker and the addition of the bit of washi were the perfect embellishments too. i loved making this card too. i love when all comes in together so well without fuzzing much, haha. i wish...this card started in a very different way and after stamping, embossing, stapling... and starting all over again....it turned out to be a whole different story at the end, lol. but then, i do fuzz a lot over everything and it is getting worse as i age, ;p
anyway, if you want to hop over the artful delight blog and join us in our monthly challenge (scrapbooking or cards) you might be the lucky one to win a kit. here is the link to the info you need to participate and link your project.

pretty, pretty card.

once again this is it for today, :p

i hope you have a great week and thank you for stopping by the hut.

SNAPSHOT...using some chipboard from the artful delight card kit

hello all

these days i am onto making this type of smaller but long card. i think they look so cute and different from the squared ones or a2 size ones.

this one i called
snapshot and i also added a thanks.

if you read the lyrics on the song paper from pebbles: camp song, you will understand why i added the thanks and the snapshot is for the view of life.

i normally have some kind of meaning of what i do and why i do it but i do not write about it. this time i wanted to get your attention to it. it is my way of thinking and is all in my creative process, hehe. we are not all alike and can't pleased anyone but nature is something so beautiful and i thank you our creator and do lift my hands for it and bow my head too and bend knee also. lol.

Thanks for the Snapshot
3" x 5"
there is not all of the song but get the idea what i am talking about.
if you want to read the whole hymn, you can click here (yes, i looked it up, lol)

this is the other side of my card and you can see all the added dimension these pretty chipboard from fancy pants add to my card. (i cut off the top (charm part) of the snapshot in case you are wondering, :P)

the floral paper is also from pebbles and is called wildflowers.

and finally the entire card and the awesome size i am loving so much lately.

all my supplies are from the august card kit from artful delight (except the thread and black border which i made using a fiskars punch). they also have scrapbooking kits.

hope you liked the meaning of my card and the beauty within.

as always,
thank you so much for stopping by.
